Popped in for lunch and was surprised how lovely the back garden was to sit and eat we had a chicken ceasur salad and a chicken burger and was watching all the lovely meals coming out, we really enjoyed our lunch and the beer was crisp and cold would definitely recommend visiting this hotel.

Slim pickings for available meal options in Canowindra on a Monday night, Canowindra Hotel is the one place open for business and did a pretty hearty Parmi Schnitzel for under $30. I suspect I got my plate loaded with some extra veges and schnitty when chef ran out of potato mash!

We had to wait over two hours for our food, the order was all over the place, some people got the meal they ordered in a timely manner, kids meals were served two hours after everyone else.

16 person table, all eating and drinking, first kids meal out in 15 minutes, 1-2hr plus wait for others food, half orders coming out. Three meals missing into 2hr+ wait, every other person who came in after us ate before we did. Notified staff of their oversight, and they proceeded to serve one of the missing meals, then every other tables order apart from our missing 2 meals. Notified the staff yet again 20+ mins later and the last meals turned up some 2.5hrs after they were ordered. No apology, no offer of a refund or any form of compensation, we all stopped spending our money there after this and moved to another venue! Unlikely to return i would say,

Tele so loud u couldn't talk (some old movie was on) in public bar whilst employee watched and didn't engage at all with customers.

If love a decent country pub then put this place on your list.
From the moment we stepped in the staff were terrific. Polite, witty and friendly.
The place was very clean and well looked after. This extended to the "personal relief rooms"(loos), which were the cleanest I've experienced in ages! (Ditto from the missus.)
Wine selection was quite good, a step up from most.
A few excellent craft beers available as well, so gets a tick from me!
Menu is quite reasonable, not huge, but quite enough to satisfy most.
Food ordered was excellent and quite a step up from a lot of pubs I've visited within the last year.
Empty plates were cleared quite quickly which something I do appreciate.
We visited the Monday before ANZAC day, where most businesses were closed at most towns along the way, however, we were thankful the Canowindra Hotel had the good foresight to open.
Plenty of parking, either on street or around the rear.

Good feed, great price, wonderful service!

Great service and beer. Hosts were wonderful and they had the rugby league on. Most enjoyable. Loved the wine selection.

Great country pub, always worth a visit, nice beer garden. Recommend Crumbed Steak Panko for a light lunch.

Great food with gf options and service. Had meals in the lovely garden at the back. Caters well for families and everyone.
Had the grilled barramundi for lunch, yesterday, that melted in the mouth - served with a garden salad.
Had a nice scotch fillet with gf gravy, mash and vegetables, tonight.
A variety of apple and pear ciders come in bottles, and standard beers are on tap.
Accommodation is currently unavailable.

Had such a great pub meal tonight, we wanted to make sure we wrote a review to tell the world how great the Schnitz and Parmas are... all in a lovely outdoor patio setting! Will make a special trip to come back for sure ?

Wet and miserable day, needed access for elderly Aunt with a walker... such wonderful help and nothing was too much trouble! Thanks for a great pub lunch and definitely going the extra mile!
