Enjoyable course to play with some challenging holes. The fairways and tee boxes were in excellent condition, but the greens were not. Hard to justify the price for 18 holes when the greens were not rolling smooth and covered in sand. Some greens had bare patches and lacking very little grass. I understand the weather can be a challenge in Cairns, but my overall experience was let down by the condition of some of the greens. Also, the clubs provided for hire must have been from the 80's. Would be nice for an updated set to be provided for guests travelling without their own clubs. With that said, I would visit for another round if I had my own clubs instead of relying on those for hire at the course.

I'm visiting from Sydney and wanted to enjoy a game of golf. This was close to where I was staying. I booked a cart and hired clubs when I got there. I was in shock when I had to buy balls and tees, separetly as the hired bag didn't include them. In total I payed $161 for two players, cart, clubs and balls. For future players, don't use a yellow ball on the first tee as the driving range balls litter the hole. Furthermore the greens were not to standard for the price point. Otherwise the coarse offers plenty of challenges and bugs

Friendly staff, had a nice round of golf!

Went to the practice range, 100 balls 17AUD, thank the staff is very warm reception, there are shop supplies, the only deficiency: because it often rains, the mat too much sand and rain, resulting in the head of the rod covered with sand, after a while you need to clean... Hope this deficiency can be improved!

Booked online for a round with my son. It explained greens were being maintained and there would be a price reduction of fees.
I took that as greens being cored but when we got to the first green there were pieces of turf missing and it was like putting in the car park.
Very dissapointed nothing was said at pro shop before we teed off but a cash grab is a cash grab.
Other than that the course was ok but the greens ruined it for me.

We had a golf trip and played Cairns Golf Club on 23.07.2023. The staff in the pro shop were fantastic and made our experience even better. The course was great all though some of the greens a little worse for wear but overall what a great golf club. Thank you for your hospitality you guys were great. Highly recommended.

Went here with the missus to try the driving range. Both of us are rookies, but it was really fun anyway. Prices are very affordable and it was a great activity on a sunny day. We will definitely back!

The staff are wonderful and the condition of the course is fine. Sadly the signature hole is the second and, after that, there's not a lot to write home about. The greens are huge, quite fast and are the course's real defence. Fairways are quite wide and you have to be very wayward to miss them.

I recently had the pleasure of playing Cairns Golf Course, and it was an amazing experience. The course is beautifully maintained with lush fairways and well-manicured greens. The layout of the course is challenging with a variety of different holes and many strategically placed hazards. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the clubhouse was a great place to relax after a round. I had a fantastic time playing at Cairns Golf Course, and I highly recommend it to any golfer looking for a great round of golf.

Amazing 18 holes even the 9 holes are worth it if you don't have a full day don't use yellow balls off tee 1 and becareful of hole 2

Awesome club, awesome course and very friendly staff in the pro shop. Shane McHenry is one amazing golf instructor, very easy to get along with. Highly recommend him to anyone who wants to improve their golf

Really liked the layout. Some challenging holes. Staff were fantastic. If you play golf make sure you hire the premium golf clubs...we didn't and they were the worst clubs I have ever used...and not a full set. ...I suppose that is my oversight. And take some spare balls. Will return...with a premium set...cheers

Some pretty interesting holes. Fairways and greens generally in good condition. Staff in pro shop and bar very friendly. Good value for money (,book online).

Ive never known anything so backwards. All I wanted to do was book golf with my friends but these people just didn't want to help what so ever. And eventually when they would book it by email they wanted an extra $10 per person. Absolute parasites do not go here book elsewhere. Go to Gordonvale golf coarse it's way cheaper and much easier to book.

Fantastic course with interesting layout. Good variety of holes with some shorter holes which require placement off the tee plus some challenging longer holes where you need driver. A couple of standout par 3s, one almost 200m in length and one around 150 metres which is all carry over a lake! Greens are very firm and fast so with the undulations you have to think about most putts. Good value golf at $55 each including a cart if there are two playing together. You can also walk the course. There is a large driving range here too which is an all weather facility

Not particularly memorable other than for the mosquito bites. Only one hole lives in the memory, the second, and the rest are somewhat bland, nothing to write home about. Couch is invading a number of greens and the bunkers are a little thin but the fairways are magnificent. BTW, I had 76 hits so not sour grapes.

Great layout, super friendly staff and the convenience of the best driving range in FNQ.
Now if you're a golf tragic, you may get a little disappointed with the bunkers as they're not perfect. Overall I would rate this course in the top 2 or 3 in FNQ.

I was at my brother's birthday party on Saturday night and would like to say that Matt and the team were great. All staff who worked that night were friendly. Lastly the food was tasty

Very rude experience from the staff, I forgot my mask when going into the store and a staff member gave me the most disgusting look ive ever received. Fair enough to not serve me but the look I was given was definitely overkill, i live around the corner so I could have easily come back with my mask on but after receiving such a dirty look there was no way I could ever go back there. A shame because I would go there 4 times a week.

Fantastic course. Very well kept. Back 9 seems to play a little longer and is more scenic than the front, so if only playing 9 I recommend tee'ing off at the 10th
