A warm friendly and inviting spot; The Riley's recent refurbishment and opening gives a loungy vibe with soft lighting, great food and nice staff. Certainly a great place to start your night with a delicious bite and drinks to accompany. I went here on a Friday and a Saturday another week for dinner and drinks with mates - and we all enjoyed ourselves. I've had the Prawn fettuccini (with prawn bisque) and Karaage chicken burger (with chipotle sauce); both were scrumptious. Nicholas in particular goes out of his way to make sure you have everything you need and are well looked after. It's always a pleasure to see him and staff alike.

An awesome venue. They have live music on the weekends with a vocalist performing with a DJ on Saturdays who was amazing (Mike and Bianca) and then cover acoustic live music on a Sunday. All the staff in the venue are amazing too, especially Jayden and Max. They all are so friendly and professional. Vibe is great, cool interior and well priced drinks. Just a solid, fun, chill venue.

Excellent location, always outdoor seating available, excellent large (250ml) glasses of vino for $16 (which is rare in this town). Staff are incredibly chatty & helpful and when I pop in before "boring grocery shopping" they always give me a giggle - excellent place & incredibly well maintained (all table tops are cleaned very often - it's never dirty). Love it ?????'???

The go-to place on Oxford St!!

Has had a much needed make-over, making it feel like a warm, comfy English pub that's great for people watching (if you're into that). A nice mix of classic 80's and modern music playing.

Accommodating staff that are super friendly to have a chat with.

Your favorite pub classic meals and more that are delicious and put together really well. Didn't have to wait a long time from ordering to eating.

Highly recommend checking this place out if your on the strip.

Very nice place, service was good. But the food took very long even though it was just 2 side dishes. The cocktail was ok as well but a great place for hangout ??

I have been here 2 hours with only 2 drinks.
The Bartender, Hamish held my attention for half of that then there was Rowee.
The Boss. OH MY GOD.
I just had to blend her with Cher.

What an amazing transformation from the dusty days of the old Brighton Bar. What's emerged in The Riley is a friendly local pub serving really good food and service, and celebrating the LGBTQ+ at its heart. Although the menu is small, it's packed with many hits: the Brussel Sprouts and the Riley Salad are delicious and healthy alternatives to the standard pub grub of Chicken Schnitzel and Sweet Potato Fries (which are equally as yummy)!

This place has to be my favourite hotel.
I'm here in Sydney from Brisbane on holiday's and I've been to this Hotel 3 times now.
The food is really really awesum and the staff are so very friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxing.

Disappointing they don't have aircon. So hot surprise they are allowed to operate such an unsafe environment. Even after speaking to the bar staff and the security they told me "it's a club it should be hot"....pass

It is so good to see this place renovated. They have done a great job, keeping its character but updating it. Its a good place to sit with some friends and watch the passers by. Maybe there is hope for Oxford St after all. The food looked OK too. Cheap deals on week nights like schnitzel and burgers. Good for a cheap night out.

I went here once when I was on tour with my band in Sydney. We played at the house of music and booze, I am not sure how close it was to this place, I was hella confused by the layout of Sydney but also cause I had never been before, since my grade seven trip in maybe 2010, which was a little while ago, and I was doing a very different type of thing the night I went to this bar. It was fun though and I danced.

This place has been totally renovated is absolutely fabulous looking. The food was excellent atmosphere's really nice great location on the corner of Riley and Oxford street prime location in the village recommend

Very good burger and excellent chips. I really like the beautiful woodwork around the large windows in this renovated pub. Fine service, could be friendlier and more personable... perhaps that will come in time. Enjoyed my time there today.

Nicely renovated pub, good for drinks. Would not rush back for the food. We ordered 3 steaks @$35 each. We asked for medium rare and medium. All steaks were burned on the outside and overcooked to the point of being dry inside.

We went to this place after a poor experience and let me tell you this place is so warm and inviting and had such amazing cocktails and drinks! The food menu looked great and the staff were so friendly! The security/doorman Nicholas was so lovely, he welcomed us, walked us to a free table and made sure we had enough seats as well! Super lovely to talk to. We'll be sure to come back :)

It's the kind of place you go for fun night. Crowd is friendly, the atmosphere is unique w a nice old carpet. It's a very small venue in a great location. Had a party upstairs with dj and loved it.
