I went to Parks Bistro for a family catch up. My brother is big fan, so we went along with his recommendation. The venue is just like a traditional bowling club, but that's OK. You don't go to eat the venue. The staff were really good - a very welcoming place. It just had an unpretentious warm and friendly vibe. However, the star of the evening was Chef and whoever helped create the dishes we enjoyed so much. My shout out is for the beef cheeks I had, the super tender squid, the delicious pumpkin arancini balls and we all couldn't get over how perfectly the veggies were cooked. Some of the more upmarket restaurants in Newcastle could take a leaf out of this chef's book! The service was very good too. Plenty of parking too! It's on my contacts list now for my Newcastle visits.
