Terrible service and very rude staff. They make you pay first for food so don't care if the food is good or not. Very disappointing. Go any where else for cheaper and better food (I'd recommend the Poke shop a 2 min walk away)

Hotel Bondi's restaurant impresses with exquisite food and an excellent selection of drinks. However, it slightly disappoints as table service is not provided, missing a personal touch. Nevertheless, the experience remains enjoyable due to delicious dishes and a quality drink menu.

Food came out fast, and food was hot and tasty. Classic pub fare.
My friend loved her Mexican schnitzel and I enjoyed my Garlic and Cheese pizza! Washed down with beers on tap!

Hotel Bondi was perfect for my couple days exploring Bondi Beach. The staff at the front desk were courteous and friendly and I felt authentically welcomed. The room was small but comfy and had everything I needed. The shared balcony was great for seeing the sunrise over Bondi Beach and the lights of the Ferris wheel at night. The only frustrating part of my trip was at the attached restaurant. I went to dine for dinner; I ordered the beef roast on special and a glass of Cab. The bar apparently forgot to submit my ticket for my dinner. I waited over 45 minutes before requesting a refund.

As a pub it is very good. Not one complaint. Excellent food, reasonably priced and brilliant service.

As a hotel, absolutely woeful. Travelled interstate to be here. Rooms are not what was advertised on the booking sites. In a room for apparently 4 people and it consists of one master bedroom with a queen bed and one lounge room with a fold out bed which is the most uncomfortable thing I've ever had the displeasure of sleeping on. It didn't fold out properly and the mattress was so thin you can feel every bar of the bed underneath. Utter disgrace to actually charge money for this.

The kitchen consists of a tiny bar fridge which is flat out holding a tub of strawberries, a bottle of water and a soft drink. The kitchen bench is a rickety desk. Online it showed a full kitchen and large fridge. It almost seems like a set up to force me to go eat in the pub every night.

The only redeeming feature of this room is the full uninterrupted views of Bondi Beach.

Great balcony with ocean view. The bar staff really tried to make us the perfect cocktail. Very honest staff as two lost rings were found and returned. I can highly recommend the staff and location thank you!

Enjoyed a 2 night stay in this superb location. Rooms 3-star standard. Watch out if you are staying at the weekend: pretty noisy outside until 3am. Sunday night was dead quiet though.

Wow I cant believe I walked past this bar so many times and never went in until today. I had the best experience. The staff were absolutely lovely and we had the BEST roast for the BEST price we've had since we landed in Sydney 8 months ago. I cant get over the fact i paid 12$ as it was on offer for the whole of July and not only am I satisfied but I genuinely enjoyed it. I will absolutely be back. 10/10

Location is amazing, but for that price I expect the room to be bigger than what it was. Also, the sound of other people showering ( for whatever reason ) was absolutely deafening. I have no idea what could possibly cause all that noise but it's like you can hear the water launch an assault on the pipes in the walls next to us. Again, for that price I find this unacceptable.

Amazing experience hosting an event there last weekend! Everything went smooth and couldn't thank them enough for the friendly service and great food and drinks. Our babyshower event went exceptionally well. Erin (event manager) was a amazing to deal with from start to end, the duty manager Rob made the day special, Rob made sure the the venue was prepared accordingly to our needs, foods were serve on time and constantly checking up on us to make sure all our needs are met. Thank you hotel Bondi team for your exceptional service. Will highly recommend to all our family and Friends.

Corner room on the 2nd floor with balcony veranda ideal for its views, but a little noisy for early evening rest. This hotel remodelled and their designer missed the mark on convenience for style. The room is short on modern storage, having only a desk and chair, and wardrobe from a collection from the 1940's. The bed was good with a firm and comfortable mattress. The hotel was clean and fresh with a very friendly staff. This hotel is ideally located to the beach, shopping, and many bars and restaurants.

I don't like how it's been renovated but it's roomy,before it had a lounge type of room that over looked bondi beach,but it's been turned into a poker m/c room so there's no view from the inside only at the outdoor meal area at the front of building.

Of everywhere I have stayed in Sydney, this really is by far number 1. The staff were incredibly friendly really going above and beyond with service in a relaxed way that really exceeded all my expectations. The service here was far superior to a recent stay at 5 star hotel in Sydney. Location is perfect particularly if you are visiting during summer. We stayed over the busy new years period and I really was blown away by how lovely and efficient the staff were. I will certainly be back!

We stayed 2 nights here before heading out on 24 days of cruises. The rooms and the decor was very nice. The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to help us out with an incident involving a local(not sane) man, who was loitering near the hotel and harassing individuals. Oli the manager, and Virginia the receptionist took the time to call and assist authorities with video footage. Which gave us time to get back to seeing the sites. The food and bar were great!

Quick and friendly service. The meals were well priced and quite tasty. Not a bad location either, right across the road from the world famous Bondi Beach.

Not a review for the hotel but only for the bar/restaurant -- Quality is pretty up and down, I went some days and it was amazing, the oysters were freshly opened and juicy, the steak was perfectly cooked (the sides always suck, the potatoes aren't cooked no matter what it's a constant and the green beans are just there to fill the plate), the wings were great etc all good.

But then another day the week after, the oyster were dry and clearly opened for quite a while and I was honestly afraid to get sick from it, the steak was overcooked (the sides still sucked). So it's lucky draw... It would be so nice with a little more consistency tho. (And better/improved sides). Service is inexistent, you're lucky if someone acknowledges you when you need to order

It is a beautiful place, in front of the beach. It has a very good location (you can take the bus to the center right in front) or park by the beach. The tables and decorations are nice. As in all sydney you must order drinks and food at the bar.
I found it cheap to be close to the beach and for the nice place. A beer 6 dollars and the steps between 16 and 24 and sweet fries 12.
Good bathrooms and friendly people.
Very rich food and exquisite beer.
I don't give a 5 star because I'm used to waiters serving tables, I think that's excellent service.

Went to the Hotel Bondi today for lunch and a couple of beers. The food was fantastic with heaps of flavour. The only thing that was better than the food was the two young blokes behind the bar. Jackson and Matt gave us the best service you could ask for. They were friendly and really happy, just what you expect from good hospitality staff. They could not do enough for us and we're very professional. Hotel Bondi should be proud to have them. Looking forward to the next visit.

Lack of customer service and lack of food quality. We order 3 plates to share And I had to go to the kitchen to ask for 3 side plates, when I did the guy just roll his eyes and gave me a disgusting look like was the worst thing to ask. The hot wings were dry, the pizza was soggy, the only good thing was the drinks/cocktails.

Very rude and horrible service. DO NOT come if you are allergic to any nuts. There is no allergen warning on the menu and they are not able to tell you about this until after you have purchased your meal. Nothing is able to be consumed with a nut allergy because it is all cross contaminated because it is a "commercial kitchen". What about normal Restaurants that are able to seamlessly avoid cross contamination?

I was able to get a refund but not back onto my card. The only reason I was able to get a refund is because I told them. My friend is also allergic to nuts and assumed it would be fine because he just got a pizza. If I didn't warn him, he would be in Anaphalaxic shock. They would not refund him either because this is "not their fault".

They were not apologetic or accommodating at all. These people are discriminating against those with nut allergies. Never have I ever written a bad review before but this place is truly deserving.

Only went to the bar/restaurant for the deals advertised outside, which ended up being unclear, plus the pizza wasn't that great. The bar staff were rude and uninviting, with very little customer service skills. The rugby on the TV was the most enjoyable thing :(

Steak night was just what we needed. Fantastic prices. And $5 pots of beer were the perfect addition to the meal.

Visited Hotel Bondi for lunch sometime ago. Had a great sea food platter. Good portion and value of money. Great location, very close to the beach. Very friendly service. Loved it. It's a great place to go for lunch/brunch on the weekend and then chill at the beach.

Excellent location opposite Bondi Beach! We stayed overnight in a one bedroom apartment with a sea view & a balcony (great for taking in your surroundings & the atmosphere). There is a road out the front but it was not intrusive for us & did not detract from our stay. We stayed on a Monday night so the area was probably less busy & noisy than the weekend. The apartment was very clean & quiet & the beds were very comfortable. Being in the heart of Bondi Beach we had excellent walking access to some cool cafes & restaurants. We had our car with us & it was definitely worth the extra $25 for a secure hotel car park. We drove into Circular Quay at night to see the Harbour Bridge & Opera House, very pretty at night! It's about a 20 min drive, made easier if you have maps & someone to navigate. We paid $15 night flat rate (after 5pm) for a secure park. You could probably drive around & find a street park. Alternatively, there is a bus stop directly out the front of the hotel that takes you to Circular Quay if you prefer, it's about 40 mins one way. The next morning we walked along the beach cliff top track, easy access right outside the hotel! Be prepared for stairs! Well worth the effort, fantastic views over Bondi! It amazed me how busy the beach & track were so early in the morning... surfers, walkers, runners! We went for a swim too, the water was beautiful! It's a pretty rough beach so we swam between the flags & we're pretty confident swimmers. The hotel staff were really lovely & very helpful with tips on where to go & how to get around. I highly recommend Hotel Bondi & I'd easily stay here again. We travelled as a family of 4 adults. Plenty of space for the 4 of us in our 1 bedroom apartment (queen bed in the bedroom & a sofa bed in the lounge area).

Great location, right on the promenade. Plenty of seating out the front let's you watch the beautiful people walk by. The food selection is wide; offering pub favourites and healthy options. Servings are generous and well presented. Good range of beers on tap and friendly service.

Went twice recently for lunch and dinner. Standard pub fare. Not a huge variety of beers on tap. Quality of the fish and chips was much better during dinner.

Place is let down by halo security group. Bought food and drinks over 2 hours to be told one member was intoxicated (for leaning back on a chair and kissing his girlfriend). Held a reasonable conversation with the security manager, to be then told to leave for questioned their reasoning.We adhered to all covid restrictions and, quite frankly, minded our own business whilst supporting this business on a quiet Saturday.Good venue, ruined by a bored, jobs-worth, security team. Avoid.

I came here for lunch and although there is a great outdoor patio, the food sadly isn't worth the price. They will accommodate eliminating items, but no substitutes - I asked for a burger, no bun and greens instead of chips. I got the burger, which was overdone, the caramelized onions was a single pearl onion, and the salad was a tiny garnish. Needless to say, for the $18 price, I was less than impressed.

If i could give 0 stars i would.I was out for a celebratory drink with my husband for turning 23. At one point during the night i was asked to stand up and come over to the side to talk to a guard, i kindly obliged. He claimed he had seen me "asleep". I had been talking to my husband, as we normaly talk, and kissed him at one point. I was never the slightest bit tired or "asleep" as the security guard described. I have no idea from where he got this idea... i will for sure never be back to this venue. As a woman i feel extremely used and weak because of the treatment of this guard. I am really dissapointed and sad from this experience. This ruined my whole evening and birthday.
