Bells is now the poor sister to it's much more gaudy and lively sibling neighbour, the Woolloomooloo Bay Hotel on the opposite corner. Food service is all but non-existent with only toasties on offer plus the usual pub snacks, chips and nuts. It's laid back almost to the point of being a bit shabby and locals like the place because the beer is cheaper than over the road and it's dog friendly. Essentially a basic, no frills pub in a great location. Some limited parking is available outside but you'd have to be lucky. If you want food, just cross the road to the WBH where it can be ordered at the food bar or to your table via Me&u beacon.

The jaffle I had at Bells, washed down with a crisp schooner of Cooper's pale, was the best pub dining experience of my life.

Loved every minute of it, the service was amazing the toastie sandwiches were delicious and very accommodating to young babies for food and warming of bottles. Will definitely be going back!

First place I ever drank a beer on Australian soil way back in 2000.
Since then I've had around 12 trips in and out of Australia and Sydney and I always make a point of a trip to the Bells for a beer without fail.
Every time I come back I think it'll be gone with pub closures these days but it's always there with open doors and a cold beer waiting.

First went to this pub in 1999 as a junior sailor and would spend many a lunch there over the years. Great Aussie pub that has simple pleasures for simple people, good to see they haven't sold out. Keep up the great work

6 stars! A simple place for simple pleasures. Perfect for a beer in the arvo this place kind of soothes the soul as there are no distractions - you get what you get. We had a party here recently and staff were patient and attentive given that we ran amuck.

It's an old Sydney pub that needs a bit of TLC and upgrade. Ok place to go for a drink with some outdoor seating. They have some nice beers on tap and good selection of spirits. Not the place for a cocktail if you want one but if you wanna drop in for a drink it's ok.

Stopped in for a beer before heading to the opera at Fleet Steps. Lovely atmosphere, thought it was great that they were pet friendly and dogs kept following their owners in. Slightly disappointed that the Foster's sign was just of historical significance and that I couldn't actually enjoy one, but settled for something else different that they had on tap instead!

Great to see the character and Naval history of the Bells Hotel has been retained. A charming, cosy pub with a great atmosphere and wonderful team. Many pubs in the area have been stripped of their personalities so this one is really worth a visit. Limited menu however great depth in their beverage range and the best location.

Very friendly & I like the food. People are happy to say hello. They also have music on the weekend with 1or 2 singers. Very clean establishment.
