I've eaten here before and didn't have an issue. All we ordered today was a bowl of wedges and a bowl of wings. The wedges were huge, which meant they weren't cooked properly ( hard on the inside and dry tasting), small portion for the $$. The wings weren't wings, whatever they were they were very small and had very little meat on them

We recently stayed at Beachcomber Toukley and had an absolutely phenomenal experience! The service was impeccable, but one staff member, Rachel, truly stood out. Her attention to detail and friendly demeanor made our stay truly unforgettable. From check-in to check-out, Rachel went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The resort itself was stunning, with amazing views and luxurious amenities. I can't wait to return to Beachcomber Toukley, where the service is as breathtaking as the views. Five stars all the way!

What a place! Wow ?
This hotel is incredibly pretty and the staff are absolutely amazing and so friendly which made our stay so enjoyable and stress free. Rooms are super clean and comfortable. The view from our poolside/waterview room was stunning. I highly recommend. Can't wait to go back.

Where to start!! 2hours from Cronulla, all freeway from the eastern distributor, which is great. From the moment we were greeted at reception to checkout was a great & easy experience.. friendly staff throughout the resort. Cocktails were delicious, I know I sampled a few ???- .. the food was also delicious, great menu with plenty to pick from. I recommend sitting on the deck as the view of the lake makes for a very relaxing afternoon. We went for our 33rd wedding anniversary, was the perfect long weekend. There were families there so it's a good location if you have kids. The pool area was lovely, clean and relaxing. The resort has a tab/sports bar which my husband was impressed with, he should know as betting and football are his "hobbies" ?
Outdoor area was undercover but there is also tables in the grass area too. We had a family catchup lunch (8 of us) on the Saturday and the food was spot on, all meals serviced together.
Lastly, the breakfast was 5 stars ... fabulous buffet, and even a pancake machine/station. Great variety for everyone I thought. Hot food was hot & freshly cooked (sometimes you go other buffets and it can be just warm).
Sum up my experience is DEFINITELY BOOK YOURSELF A HOLIDAY/GETAWAY!!

This place has surprised me. I am staying here for work and it's night 2. The view and the style of this place is top shop especially if you head out the back and look out towards the water. My colleague and I have sat for a few beers and dinner and the food had been good and the burger I had tonight was extremely good. I will say that thought the bar staff are good, they really have no idea how to pull a beer. The room I am in is very nice although being on the bottom floor it feels a bit like being Irish on the Titanic. There is a window which doesn't open and looks out to complete darkness. The stand out for me was breakfast. Hands down the best buffet breakfast I've had and the chef was outstanding cooking my poached eggs to order and to perfection. I'd you are staying around the Central Coast stay here just make sure you have a water view room!

The view is amazing of the lake at Toukley. Decor is nice. We sat outside and occasionally smelled the lake weed smell, but the breeze is lovely on a warm day. You will need to book. Food is good and reasonably priced. Pizzas are good and the barramundi was enjoyed by two of our party. Unfortunately, the coffee took a long time and was tepid at best, but overall, the day was very enjoyable.

We had two great days here. Stunning location, very helpful service, fantastic pool and delicious meals at very reasonable prices. We would go back in a heartbeat. If you go, get a room overlooking the pool and lake. It costs a little more but is well worth the expense. Thanks team for a most relaxing break en route to Sydney.

Was absolutely surprised to find it much more delightful than expected. The whole place seemed to be recently renovated, a beautiful lobby, great rooms, and a lovely dining area.

It had a Decent sized room with a great bed, shower, and toiletries.

The dining area overlooks the lake Tuggerah. It's a great spot to unwind in the evening with beer, delicious selection of food, and enjoy the evening breeze.

This hotel made me feel like I was on vacation. Lovely service staff - always greeting you with a smile.

Saunter down to lovely local cafes - we tried Rise Mofo and Lou's cafe. Both had great food and coffees.

We absolutely loved staying here & we will certainly be back! The hotel is centrally located, and everything you need is within a few minutes drive or 10-15min walk. Our room was beautiful & clean, had all the amenities we needed plus the most beautiful view of the harbour & poolside.

All the staff were so friendly, especially Mon on the front desk who gave us all the info we needed on things to do/places to visit when we checked in. Room service was fast, and the sticky date pudding deserves an award for how yummy it is!!!!!

Buffet breakfast was hot & fresh, and the coffee was AMAZING. Dinner was great at the Beachie, your typical pub/tavern style menu... and the Chicken Schnitzel & Diane Sauce didn't disappoint!

Absolutely loved our stay from the comfy beds, clean rooms, friendliest staff. Special shout out to Niall for the warm reception and looking after us. The location is superb overlooking the lake. Waking up the the sound of the birds chirping. The breakfast was excellent and the coffee was superb.
We'll definitely be back and bring friends and family along. Keep up the good work team. Very impressive!!!

I grew up near here and this place many years ago was completely different to what it is today. Probably the best place to eat or drink in the small town. The dining area is spacious and clean with an amazing view of the lake. The food, while mostly pub classics are just done better. Unfortunately on one piece of fish the batter had split so the fish inside was really dry but the other piece was good. The service was good from each staff member we encountered and the public bathrooms were very clean.

A group of us went for lunch. So, a few points:
Nice aspect looking over the water.
Parking available next to the venue, and across the road.
Good service at the bar, and for ordering.
Food was good pub grub level. I ordered a medium rare rump steak, and it actually was medium rare and tasty. Everyone at the table enjoyed their food.
A small negative, and it's nothing much really, some of the choices in the menu, and on the specials board were not available.
I'd go back

I had an overnight stay on May 15, 2023, on a golf trip to Toukley with two pals. Our respective ages are 80, 79 and 65. We have been around long enough to be legitimately discerning in our choices and to have acquired a comprehensive, comparative scale of travel standards. We were welcomed at the Beachcomber with sincere enthusiasm, kindness and courtesy. Our rooms were splendid. We had a walk around the facilities and discovered that they represented the features of an authentic resort. The Bistro menu and food presentation was fabulous. The bar service was world class and charming. Before dinner, we drank Shiraz on the massive verandah and toasted the impressive sunset on the western side of the calm lake. Later, we enjoyed the bar services for quite a while before retiring. Breakfast the next morning was of a fine dining standard. Check-out was pleasant and efficient. Obviously, management had delivered an extensive effort on staff training as staff professionalism was of a particularly high standard in all areas. We'll be back.

We had the most amazing stay at The Beachcomber. The room was incredible and so clean and luxurious. We felt housekeeping went above and beyond in making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable- service which we haven't experienced in a hotel in a long time. Every detail was tended to - and definitely noticed and appreciated by us. The views and whole vibe of the hotel was great we would highly recommend staying here for a minimum of 2-3 nights to really get the most out of it. Perfect place to recoup and have a beautiful family or couples holiday. We can't thank one particular staff member enough. Evelyn provided us with tremendous service - she made our stay so memorable and we can't wait to come back!

Beautiful new hotel. Kids loved the pool. There isn't enough pool side seating and people run down early and put their towels and bags on the seats then go have breakfast which isn't fair. There's a bar and you can order food poolside which was great. It's convenient having the restaurant downstairs and the food is good. Great atmosphere and the staff are friendly. Only thing to fault really was the bar fridge is very small. Smaller than average with no little freezer section. Overall and wonderful stay and holiday.

Stunning resort that made for a perfect little getaway. Reception staff were delightful and went over and above to make sure we had a great stay. Breakfast was good, cocktails were on point however the lunch/dinner dining menu was average. I would love to return when your restaurant opens. Unfortunately due to staff shortage, the pool bar wasn't open which was a shame. We will definitely come back again.

It was extremely clean. The mini bar had milk, water bottles and Tim tams which were topped up daily. The resort is amazing for families with a play area, chickens pool toys. Service at the pool was a plus for kids as they ordered yummy hot chips each day. The restaurant was very decent pub food and I'm pretty fussy. Breakfast was also quite nice and had a good selection. Staff were the nicest in Australia. Thanks for a wonderful quick getaway!

Perfect for a 3 day getaway. Serene view of the lake and poolside. Staff friendly. Bistro was good and if you don't go in peak times to eat then you don't have to wait long. Rooms basic but comfortable enough. Only negative is that you have to get up super early to secure a sun chair by the pool plus the spa isn't heated. Overall, had a nice and relaxing time.

One of our favourite places to relax and unwind. Too many of our friends are asking where this gorgeous place is now and it's not our secret anymore! Only feedback is that an ice cream cart would be great near the pool (as I couldn't buy an ice cream anywhere in the resort) Also there are no options for food between 10am & 11am (if you miss breakfast and need to wait for kitchen to open at 11am). Sometimes just coffee and a savoury option would go down well (Toasties/wraps?) Otherwise it's a great place to be. And your staff are 5 star...fabulous service!!!

Just celebrated our 10 year anniversary here with 3 nights in room 511. This room is off the charts, immaculately clean, fresh towels, coffee pod machine, gorgeous comfy bed! Could not be HAPPIER! What a hidden gem this place is. The view, the pool, and relaxed vibe with nice sunsets. The service was absolutely amazing, big thank you to Meg, what a brilliant Manager, she always took the time to make our stay perfect! Casey on pool bar, she was just delightful and awesome! We will definitely be back and next time with the kids! Thank you so much Beachie, 10 out of 10 from us!

The dining seats would have to be the most uncomfortable seats I've ever sat on. They were truly so uncomfortable the backs of my thighs were in pain by the time we left! The food was average, price...probably on par for pub food with some dishes a little on the expensive side. I had the 1/2kg of buffalo wing, there were plenty and I didn't finish them. The buffalo sauce was a little extra hot compared to most. The seafood basket is huge! The southern chicken burger was just average. Extremely noisy atmosphere, we had to practically shout over the table to hear each other speak. The pub itself is nice looking and the location is excellent although at certain times that waterfront gets rather smelly so I'm not so sure it would be great to sit outside and eat during those times. I only had a minor interaction with staff and they were pleasant enough. The kitchen looks immaculate (it's in the centre as you walk through and you can see in.) Honestly, I won't be back as I just found it way too uncomfortable to sit on those nasty chairs and the food was only average so I'd rather go elsewhere.

Room looks great and had an amazing water and pool view. Room and toilet was very clean. Bed and pillows were so comfortable. Check in and out was without any hassle. Friendly staff. Dinner and breakfast was good especially the coffee! In short we had a great stay! Would definitely consider coming back.

We had a great stay! The rooms and facilities are beautiful and provide instant relaxation. We would definitely stay again! We ate at The Beachie restaurant for dinner and the buffet breakfast which were both great!
4 stars only as the pillows in the room were very high profile and though they look amazing, they were quite uncomfortable and there was no option for a lower pillow. The room also only had 1 mirror in the bathroom and it was not full length. Would recommend a full length mirror in every room and additional pillow choices. Other than that, fantastic stay!

We had an amazing stay! Loved the view, the room was spacious very clean and modern. I was very impressed with the service not only during our stay but after our stay. We left my son's precious lovey behind. I wrote it off and bought another one. To my pleasant suprise I received our previous lovey in the mail wrapped in bubble wrap. Thanks so much!

Ordered from bistro, which has a good range of food including various vegan and vegetarian options. Service was relatively quick for a lunch time Wednesday. Quality of food good and serving portions sufficient. Although some menu items some might think overpriced. All in all a great time was had.

Wonderful stay. Beautiful accommodation, the bed was so comfy and rooms quiet. Great views over the water. Helpful staff, thanks Niall! Highly recommend for families or couples.

Food was average at best. 4 adults and a child and not a decent meal.
All of us complained.
One person got the seafood basket and got 1 prawn
Another got the chicken parmi with coleslaw. Chicken was dry, cheese was old and quite gross and the coleslaw had no dressing.
My burger was off. The meat didn't taste right.
I ordered a bucket of prawns for the table and they had a certain tang to them. And they were a bit smokey like they had been kept next to (or on top of) the smoke salmon.

The beers tasted nice but that's where it stopped.

Lucky we had decent company.

Wouldn't eat here again. Might go back for beers at sunset though.

We did not stay at the resort but as locals we have eaten at the restaurant a number of times. The place is fabulous, location amazing. Food needs a bit of work and more choices, maybe daily specials. I went today and was extremely disappointed with the cleanliness. The utensils container had dried on food on it, the table had dried on food and the ring mark from glasses. There was dried on food on the legs of the table and the foot rests haven't been cleaned for ever. This needs to be addressed otherwise people will stop coming. You have a great venue please don't ruin it.

Gorgeous and huge. The remodel is surprisingly great. When you walk out to the deck and take in that breathtaking view you know you want to stay till sunset. They did get my order wrong but the food was pretty good otherwise. They did seem like they were ironing out a few wrinkles but I see it being the place to for drinks and food with friends or the place to book for your upcoming function.

Wow what a fantastic place ! We stayed the night in a Lake view room with many of our family members for our dads funeral. The rooms are just stunning, the design and attention to detail is beautiful. It was quiet and the bed was soo comfy. We had dinner and breakfast and the food was so good. The staff are lovely. Thank you for making our stay so great I can't wait to go back.

The Beachcomber Hotel was bright, spacious, clean and new like. The food was ok, the price was reasonable. A great place for a group or a couple. The covered deck looks overlooks the lake. For the romantic to the team. I'll be going back

I'm so pleased to see some investment in a venue on the central coast which are badly needed. The Beachcomber is in a phenomenal spot, beautiful views over the lake. I respect what you guys are doing, but you gotta do a bit better in a few areas. Mainly staff numbers and staff training. The bar service is way too slow, obviously lots of new recruits that have no idea what they are doing (or what cocktails are or how to make them). For the size of the venue and the capacity it can take, you don't have nearly enough staff behind the bar or ones that can multi task and pour drinks whilst taking the next order. I know things will get better over time but please do better team. Loved the DJ in the afternoon this Saturday, such a great vibe. Thank you'd And the food is getting better, the chicken burger was really tasty and the prawn pasta equally so.

The new decor is lovely- reminded me of Raffles in Singapore. The menu has a good range. Prices are good. Food was really nice. Hard to find parking though.

The atmosphere is great and the new decor is amazing! Cannot fault the venue on the refurbishment. It's stunning. The food however needs improving to ensure patrons continue returning. My friend had plastic in her meal. My fish was dry and food took a very long time to come out. I hope the food can improve because we loved the space and the customer service of the staff. It's a shame to give two starts based on the food. - a local Toukley Resident

Didn't stay but went for drinks with friends. Very friendly staff. Really nice decore. Music far too loud. No place to sit and just have a quiet talk. Food just average. I will return in the future and comment on the ambience. Great views and lovely cool breezes.

Been watching the transformation of the old pub over the last few months. Was not disappointed with the refresh! A great place to catch up with friends. The chicken schnitzel for $20 was a hit. Toukley is a bit of a sleeping hollow so this is a great modern addition beside Lake Budgewoi.

The hotel is one of my favourite places on the central coast. Went there for a birthday dinner and will definitely be back. The head chef at the bistro is so nice and switched on, she's doing an amazing jobChicken parmi 10/10

Location was nice and had a really nice view, but was disappointed also. The air con didn't work so was hot and had to keep the sliding open and didn't work properly, spa jets weren't working properly, wasn't enough bathroom supplies, fridge was empty and very small. Had people fighting and screaming across from us. Lift was dodgy and slow. Reception seemed very rude not much acknowledgement at all and housekeeping staff were sour and rude. Wasn't very happy at all definitely not worth the price, even with a discount.
