Stayed overnight on our trip between Brisbane and Melbourne; the room was comfortable and clean, the location is quiet. We had our dog with us, there's a decent lawn for the dogs (near the road so on lead). Unfortunately we arrived too late and left too early to try the pub food. Conrad and Paul were fantastic staff we dealt with.
Will definitely stop here next time when passing through.

Stayed two nights over the Christmas period. For a three star motel, I was very satisfied and the dog-friendly stay option was fantastic. It was nice and clean, and included a few more amenities then I was expecting. The kids loved the pool. The lady at reception was lovely (sorry, I cannot recall her name!). I would stay here again.

Will definitely be back and make this a regular stop over on our trips between Queensland and Victoria. Very thankful that they are dog friendly and dinner in the attached pub was a hit with the family. There is plenty of separation between hotel and motel so no noise or disruption.

Had no idea this pub was even here as google just shows it as a motel. Lucky I seen from the car park on the other side of the road that there was a little beer garden hidden away.
So happy we walked in and decided to have lunch here, it was a bit noisy but there seemed to be a birthday celebration happening of a couple of different tables so noise was expected.
There was a bit of a wait but it was worth it because the food was absolutely delicious.
I had the chicken schnitzel which was huge and my partner had a chicken burger, both very tasty especially the chicken burger. Next time I think I will order one for myself.

Ordered a meal - barramundi $33. Came out so small it was unbelievable. Spoke to the staff and they were going to fix it.
Over 25mins later no food. Enquired about the meals delay. It was coming soon. It arrived with no change at all.
Service at the restaurant was very poor and disrespectful.

Two of us recently visited on a weeknight just for dinner. The bar service and the barman very friendly. The food was best described as ordinary. Not bad but not good either. One of the meals was even presented cool. We won't eat there again. The Yard over at Morisset is the standard that they should seek to follow.

Went on a Friday night to the restraunt. Booked in advance. Staff were very friendly, member at the counter took time to try and figure out what substitute bread could be used for the burger which didn't have dairy in it. Food came out in a timely manner and were good servings. Bar was reasonably priced and didn't have to wait long for drinks. They had raffles on that night which was very nice to see and set a cosy vibe for the place!

This motel was pleasantly surprising.. very clean and tidy. Very friendly service and very flexible on your check in time, we got in at 7pm ... we will definately be going back as we have family in the area. Was great having the main restaurant and the food was really good. Also very handy having Coles walking distance away.
Only thing I would recommend is to not put couples in a room that has an ajoining door to another room. On the second nights stay a family checked into the room that was on the otherside of the ajoining door... we heard everything -their conversation, their TV (very clearly) when they had a shower, when they went to the toilet, plus the light that shone thru under the door lighting up our room ..and all at midnight... my recommendation for couples or people not travelling with other members, would be to ask for a room with no ajoining door to another room. ?

We r local so don't know about accommodation. Sniddy nite changed..what a shock when the waiter placed our very bland looking plates down,every good chef knows presentation is the start to a good meal, Price gone up by $3 that's fine but the standard, presentation and quantity of food gone down, taken away the side salad, no garnish at all looked very bland, so ordered a bowl of salad as our food arrived which came promptly, $7. also mushroom sauce different not as nice as usual, we r locals but sorry won't be back or bring our friends..we always brag about how bb pub best sniddy about but no more, Sad day :( will miss our tues sniddy nite

Mouldy tacos. Told the waiter and she said that the grill makes the tacos green. Unfortunately she was not joking. Very interesting place. The bar tender also tried to give me someone else's change. I am thinking they should start drug testing their staff.

Can not speak highly enough of the Bay, we were broken down on the M1 called in late got a young man named Josh who went above and beyond to help us book a room even made sure we ordered food and he had it taken to our room for us so when we arrived in the middle of the night we had dinner. The room was so clean and comfortable, we ended up needing to stay an extra night all the staff were so good to us and When I went to the bar for a drink I was greeted by the Publican ( Pete) who invited me to sit with him and his legend of a mate Bruser, NEVER have I felt so welcome and can't wait to come back for a holiday to this fantastic venue.

Always had a great experience here food is great and even when ordering take away it's been just as good. However went for dinner service yesterday we were told it was a wait on the food which we were ok with as we were happy to sit and catch up with friends. About an 45 minutes into the wait for our food we were informed something we ordered they were out of so we decided to change which didn't bother us. However it got to two hours waiting on dinner and we asked staff for takeaway as we just wanted to head home. The staff were very apologetic and kind but I do not think the kitchen is capable of handling busy times. During our wait multiple menu log orders were taken out and when we got our food for takeaway it was less than satisfactory after paying $60 we ended up with a pork salad no pork and just greens covered in chilli, pork cutlet was delicious however we ordered it with chips and didn't receive any at all. I think to improve future service they could inform you that your food is going to be a 2 hour wait.

Ordered food over 45 min ago and have yet to receive our food. We got in before the rush and still waiting. I also ordered a jug from the bar and we were never given glasses as well. I can not review the food because I am still to receive it. Also no sauce was offered until I asked. It was free though. Update: Post meal, the burger was good! The pizza very average. Chicken Schnitzel was good. Mediterranean salad was average. May come back but hesitant and this stage.

I feel that the service was certainly lacking as meals were mixed up, given to the wrong ppl and staff tried to push an unordered meal onto my family member who had paid $15 more for an actual meal not a sandwich. Staff did not believe my partner until they actually looked at their receipts..they did everything to avoid having to make the actual meal..pretty poor service

Ordered a meal 10 minutes till closing and they were happy to serve us.
The fillet steak was the best I have eaten in the longest time and my partner's parmi was also great.
Will definitely be regulars now.

Bangers and mash was lovely for lunch and at $15 with a drink is awesome value for money.... coffee was nice and also great value for money...

My partner and I have been to this place about 6 times and the bouncer knows our faces. My partner was told by him that he would be refused next time he came since he had a Victorian license. He has lived here for 2 months and we explained that to the guy out the front, but he said that unless he proves it, he won't be aloud in. So I guess we won't be going back since he's not aloud in. There are no rules by the government that insists this. Besides, it's none of his business why he hasn't changed his address yet.
Anyway, during dinner, we saw the chefs drinking beer while working... not professional.
Do not recommend this place, isn't professional and the workers are quite rude... there's other places that are worth your money!

Food was amazing they do delivery and the food is always hot and amazing, chicken wings were tender burgers are juicy and packed with food and the chips are crunchy golden and hot, you also get a great amount of food burger with chips, steak with chips, mashed patatoe.. THIS DESERVES 5 STARS

Clean motel rooms and helpful staff. Dinner meals are exceptional at the pub, Lunch very average.

No photos but wow what an unexpected surprise. Fresh, clean, and the staff were amazing and extremely friendly and helpful. A must while you are there also is the pub attached, we only stayed 1 night but it was worth it.
A do not look past it if you are in lakes entrance and want reasonable accommodation

We stayed at the Bay Hotel Motel for a weekend in their 'Unit' room and have to say it was absolutely fantastic. The restaurant has a nice selection on the menu and the place itself is conveniently located a walking distance to the Bonnells Bay shopping centre. Would definitely recommend if you're coming to stay in the area.

Perfect for a getaway. Very clean. Great pool and bbq area. Took 2 dogs and they were happy there, enough space in the room for all. Good bbq area next to pool so dogs didn't feel left out. Good bistro next door. Kid friendly. Unfortunately the playground at the pub was closed though.

Really great place. Stayed for a few nights and was blown away by the service. Great pool and so close to heaps of amenities. The restaurant/pub next door was great as well. Can't recommend enough.
