Went for evening meal last night. Ordered schnitzel wife ordered grilled fish.
Schnitzel was deeeeeeep fried to cardboard, really, it was cardboard. Small but not tiny. Salads were very basic. Thought we would give it a go as often town clubs are nice, with good food, noisy but country.
Go to the pub it is way better.
Never again.

Beautiful chicken schnitzel and a shandy on the balcony overlooking Lake Bonney and my dog was allowed to join me! Great meal with pepper sauce, chips and salad plus a bread roll for $21.50. Shandy $9.50. Prompt friendly service!

Unfortunately the beef schnitzel parmy was tough and dry and the chicken burger was just edible. We also had a lamb shank that was nice and cooked well. For over $90 for three meals they need to lift their game or drop the price. For such a lovely Club and we were really disappointed.

Have usually had great meals at the club but lastnight was terrible. I ordered a seafood platter and was so disappointed. It was so over cooked and I can't explain what the fish came out looking like. To serve a meal to a customer looking like that is not ok.
Half of the people sitting on our table were also extremely disappointed with their meals.

The service from the young staff was fantastic but so under staffed and felt sorry for them as not only did many people complain but they were ran off their feet.

Atmosphere was brilliant as we were there with our friends for a quiz night and bar staff were excellent.

The venue has lots of potential, however, the food took an hour and 15 mins to come out. The staff were all young and polite but didn't have any training in how to keep customers updated on wait times. We had to ask for cutlery to access the salad bar which wasn't replenished and we even got cutlery for another older couple who had waited over 45 mins to eat their salad because their request for cutlery went unanswered. The bread was stale, and the meal was average especially for the price. We wouldn't be recommending this and would drive to renmark or berri or Waikerie rather than eat here.

Very slow service. Took 30 mins for dessert (brownie) to come out and when it did it was a very small portion with one small scoop of ice cream. Dinner took over an hour. Won't be coming back

Can't fault our meals. The Garlic Prawns was amazing. The salad bar did run out of lettuce salad though

It was a wonderful venue with a large hall you can hire. The food provided on my visit was a catered lunch. It was nice on the day I visited but I can't comment on their usual lunch service.

I ordered 2 pieces of fish with chips and 12 nuggets and chips. Didn't get all the nuggets. It was ridiculously slow and we were the first to put in an order. Nobody else ordered for 10-15 minutes and it wasn't until I asked how much longer that the girl said oh I will pack. Very poor service and food not much better. Certainly wouldn't recommend it. Should have cooked myself

One of the best beef schnitzels I've ever had! 3rd time visiting here and always loved the beautiful setting, lovely staff and good food. Tonight however, was outstanding! Meals could not have been cooked any better. It was perfect. ❤️

Unable to order takeaway as the phone line was left to ring. Tried ringing multiple times, same outcome.

Slow service. Had to wait at an unoccupied till. Food was nearly a 40 minute wait on a fairly quiet weeknight. Quality of the schnitzel was fine, bit burnt at the edges, but served with a freezing cold salad that had a single piece of tomato.

Hard for me to recommend.

Monday night dinner, two of us sat outside and had drinks and a meal. Her risotto was excellent, and my grilled chicken breast was very good but let down by unattractive serving on the plate and the chicken being somewhat dry and tough, still good overall. Certainly will return.

Great place for a Thursday night steak. $25 cooked yo perfection ❤️. Great prices on drinks too.

Sorry, meal was nearly unedible, overpriced and poorly presented. Staff were friendly, nice venue, but I won't eat there again.

The facility is well lit, with a view out to the lake. The range of foods and drink is excellent and, if it hadn't been for a poorly surfaced floor, would have been first rate. There is a partition between the two dining areas but it is an open grid. It's purely decorative! The concrete structure plus a hard reflective structure meant all noise - and on a Saturday evening, there was lots - was reflected back into the room. NOT a place to visit for a quiet meal!

Meals delivered in timely fashion and were delicious. Great range of drinks including cocktails. Will be back.

Only thing that wasnt good and this is not on the club, while lining up to order meals there were 3 young girls sitting at a table next to the line, quite intoxicated carrying on, swearing and throwing ice from their drinks purposely on the floor lots of people looking at them and they continued to be served acting sober at the bar when being served.

Very busy & chaotic. Ordered " build your own"Pizza, base undercooked. Chicken breast was lovely even though it didn't come with roll & salad as per menu with main meals.
These were mentioned & responded with a shrug from one of the many young lads who were waitering. Not sure if this is normal staff, but didn't seem condusive to the venue.

A really nice place. Meals and service are great, prices reasonable and stunning views of the lake. I cannot say we have had a bad meal there but some meals are better than others if you can understand that!? Should I be back in Barmera, as it is a beautiful place, I will most definitely head there for a great feed!

Do yourself a favour and visit this recently renovated Barmera Club. The service was great. The food is absolutely delicious. Will be back again to try more of the menu.

Had a really nice meal of ribs. There was a blackout at the time we were there but the club staff dealt with it extremely well and still managed to get all our meals to our party of 10 with in a decent time. Definitely value for money here

Drinks are good food is good service is poor if the locals come in they get there meals first ever if they order after you they will get them before you we also waited 10min after our main meals came out for our sons nugget meal to come out and I still had to go ask for it because they hadn't even cooked it yet

Went there with high hopes. The service was bad. Booked ahead still the staffs were very indifferent. We understood it was a quite day. Ordered 2 steaks. 1 medium rear, on medium. The food came after 20 minutes. And they served burnt steaks. Both of them. Steaks were literally black and tasted bitter. After whole day driving didn't bother complaining. The salads looked old. If that's the service on quite night dont know how they manage on a busy night. Very disappointing. Also the chips were not hot either. ???'

Great club to eat at, good food with lots to eat. I ordered a hamburger good side serve of chops and separate bowl of beautiful salad but couldn't eat it. Served by 2 of the younger members of the football team, both earning money and learning customer service plus life skills. Very impressed, they all were polite and helpful. Wheelchair friendly. Covid friendly, chidren welcome . Great night.

Really great pub fare and a nice atmosphere too. Kids meal was good value and all the meals were tasty. Service was friendly, perhaps a little slow but they had a big crowd in. Definitely recommend for dinner.

The food was great! Bit of a rowdy crowd. People don't know how to socially distance as I had two girls up my clacker in line. Staff were lovely. Drink selection was awesome.

1st nite out again since restrictions lifted. I had a porterhouse steak and my hubby had fish and chips. Well worth the wait , gave them a 10. Presentation, service, quality .Side serve of delious vegetables . Well done Chef John and your workers. We were in a group of 8 and everyone said the meal was excellent ud83dude01

A very nice Club to visit now that renovations have been finished. The position is lovely as it's opposite Lake Bonney. Menu okay, food quite nice & presented well. Slight wait for food to be delivered to the table. A nice place to visit.

very disappointed with this, there was a hair in two of the meals, oysters where expired, one of the prawns where expired, we ordered 2 kids meals (both the same) and the spring rolls and all the meat where frozen. We got the kids meals fixed but nothing else happened, we kept one of the hairs from the food and showed the staff, we did get our money back for that meal (the hair was black and curly we have orange light brown and blond hair so it couldnt have been ours)

Disappointed with the meal and others in my group waited over an hour for a simple meal.

The chef cooks amazing chicken penned with sundry tomato and a generous tasty cheese. yum :);)!!!!
