I enjoyed a lovely roast of the day at the Barmera hotel. The meal was generous in portion size, tasty and hot when served. The staff were pleasant and welcoming and the cleanliness of the dining room and bathroom facilities a credit to them., I will certainly return for a meal to the Barmera hotel.

Would absolutely not recommend this pub. Food was horrific. I had booked ahead for 6pm get there at 6:00pm ordered 5 minutes later. Food took over an hour and when it came out was comparable to vomit. The staff were very rude as well as the manager who refused a refund or any compensation after food was not eatable. Absolutely disgusting behaviour and horrific food. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Save your money don't waste it here where the food is horrible but the staff and even worse.

Rooms are ok, a bit outdated.
The worst dinning experience, was awful to say the least. Ordered dinner for 6 people. (schnitzels, squid and seafood basket)
Asked for dinner rolls/ bread, only to be told they have none left for tonight. So we ordered 2x garlic bread....both garlic bread were tiny. 4 pieces which were about the size a 5 CMS... $10 each!
At 7.15 we ordered and got told it would be a bit of a wait. Waited 1hr 15 mins for food. Mean while 2 other tables ordered after us and got all their meals served first. 5 meals were ok, but one of the chicken schnitzels were undercooked.

Meals at the hotel could be greatly improved. Pastas have no flavour and the 'specials' night, are overpriced for what you receive. Two chicken wings and fried rice with only capsicum for $28. The Kangaroo salad was the same price and better value.

Amazing service, great location and staff. Room very comfortable. Great beds, location and shower. Nice view of the lake (if you enjoy local footy even if you don\'t know the team, it\'s a great view of the oval and the lake in the background). Great stop over after a long few days in outback S.A! We felt very safe and looked after by the staff.
