The Bangalow Hotel was a delightful experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the food was fantastic. I enjoyed their diverse menu and the friendly staff made the visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

I had barramundi, chips & salad.. the dressing was fabulous...
Staff were friendly, sometimes seemingly distracted though in the restaurant.. lovely options to eat indoors or outdoors.

Came to Bangalore Hotel whilst in town for a bucks party. Didn't really know what to expect from this place but it was buzzing on the Friday night we where there. Plenty of places to pull up in this place all with different vibes to suit whatever environment your looking for. By the fire or on the dance floor with live music it's all there.
Food was really good and met with the owner who looked after us all night! All in all great place to be would highly recommend!

Great service, food and atmosphere, it's a proper Aussie pub and always an enjoyable experience. One of the very few places I've been where when I ask for no salad they offer extra chips. It's those sort of little things that I really appreciate about the service.

Called in for lunch today and what a treat. I had chilli prawn linguine and it was 1st class. Best pub grub ever.
Staff were fabulous too.

Really good food from a good menu

Undercooked chicken Maryland, worst $40 steak I have ever had, awful flavour, fatty, sinewy and gamy! If I hadn't been so hungry, I would've sent it back. This place was amazing when it was Frescas but has progressively gone downhill since they changed hands. No wonder the place is half empty in what is supposed to be the busiest night of the year after the Bangalow show. I will never be back until I hear that the place is under new management. What a shame. This is supposed to be in my local!

Called in for lunch but hardly impressed. I ordered the expensive burger expecting the mouth watering promise. They missed by a mile. The bun was dry and stale and the cooks used way to much sauce. Result was a crumbling mess. It's the second poor meal I've had here. On the upside the beer was cold.

This pub has an excellent atmosphere and a wonderful historic charm. The main bar area looks like it's been untouched since the World War II. The food here is excellent. There are several places where you can enjoy your food and drinks - on a modern eatery deck, near the side bar or out on the northern terrace. The staff are very friendly.

We have been going to the Bangalow Pub for over 30 years and never had service as bad as yesterday. I found the restaurant waiter extremely rude. We waited over 1 1/2 hours for our food. Friends had ordered 15 mins after us & had eaten & finished a long time before we got our meals. When I went to ask if the meals were on there way the waiter just said "your in the que" 2nd time "it'll be a couple of minutes " Not once did I get an apology for the delay & when I brought it to his attention how rude he was he just argued at me, with no apology at all. He was extremely rude abrupt and aweful. The man in the bar was not much better. He had very negative attitude with rude remarks to both my husband & a friend.
I think the waiter needs training in customer service skills & that you don't argue back with a client, as all I would have wanted was a simple apology for the wait. Very disappointing.

Had Bundagerg ginger beer fish & chips, sorry to say fish wasn't the best, however was eatable. Accompanying salad was nice, needed some more orange & walnuts. Chips were great.

Being a kid of the 70's .. I miss playing Pinball Machines .. & nicely Bangalow Hotel has two pinball machines

Even better .. I was able to have a drink whilst playing

Had a lovely lunch at the Bangalow Hotel today! Atlantic Salmon special with a Mediterranean salad was incredible. Front of house staff were extremely friendly and the bar staff helped me choose a refreshing beverage ?

Upon arrival to the bar to order a drink and some lunch the extremely rude man behind the bar possibly the manager spoke to my husband and I very rudely about putting a mask on. We are both very happy to wear a mask and that wouldn't be a problem for us. What was a problem was his approach and the way he spoke to us in front of a bar full of people. So happy we didn't spend a cent in the establishment. If I was the owner of this business, I would be appalled to know that customers were being spoken to like this. I couldn't give 0 stars so gave 1 ??'???'???'?

Nice spot for a few beers.
Was very quite the day we got there and we could relaxed enjoying our beers in the terrace.
We wanted some food but the kitchen was closed unfortunately?
We'll try again next time.

Came to enjoy a nice lunch and ordered an entree of pork belly bites which were tough and chewy and not appetising at all, not worth the $18 I got charged. Lunch wasn't much better either. The staff were all sitting on their phones when I came to order which took a while to even get noticed to be served. The beer was the best part about this pub!

Love this place, lots of good memories and making new connections. Open fireplace, back deck, pool table, raffles, live music, dining in style, friendly staff, iconic locals, it's the best!!

Had dinner at the restaurant, it was really great. The poached pear was a surprise standout.

Probably one of Australia's best Pubs.
Great staff, always friendly and helpful even when it is rammed. 18 beers on tap with a rotating craft selection. The Scotch fillet or fish n chips are next level. Definitely not your average pub grub. Wal, Angus and the new manager are total legends. This place is like "Cheers".

The place has been going downhill, and.locals avoid it.
No longer a great spot to meet friends.
Now below average pub food 20% more expensive than other locales for the same quality.
You can sit down for a formal dinner or get pub grub from the bistro.
Staff are friendly, but there seem to be an above average turn over....

My wife and I and my aged mum in a wheelchair have been to Bangalow Hotel 3 times now to eat for lunch. While from the outside is seems a typical pub, the cafe / restaurant space out the back and on the northern side has a pleasant outlook and is sun-drenched on good days, while undercover for not-so-good days. The menu is varied, food lovely and reasonably priced for Bangalow! Love it there. We'll go again.

Very disappointing I hate writing bad reviews but the Staff served with the same warmth as a prison cafeteria. Food was overpriced for the quality. For 3 overcooked chewy prawns and gem lettuce salad( soggy lettuce not good) was $48. Fish of the day was $44 and the parmi and chips with gravy for $32 was expensive for what it was.

Nice, cool setting for dining.. had the rib fillet steak which was cooked perfectly but was disappointed with the small vegetable serve, more carrots and broccoli please

Excellent location at the top of the main drag. Big old pub with plenty of character and charm. Ideally during summer you can get yourself a seat on the back deck under the shade - it's a beautiful spot with plenty of space and lovely views of the greenery. Definately recommend dropping in for a drink during any trip to Bangalow

Great spot to have a few beers and watch the footy. Good, though not very diverse, beer selection, friendly efficient staff and really good food. Their wagyu burger was great and has its own unique touch. Really large screens to watch the footy. They could put some screens outside on the really nice large terrace, though. On a nice Spring night would really prefer to watch the game outside. Overall highly recommend.
