Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday drive. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Food came out quicker than our expectations at a busy time in trade. Will go again.

How nice is to sit down and have a well and beautifully cooked dinner from the first bite till the end. Thank you everyone for all the effort you put on making dishes like this. I value this so much because there are not many like these around.

Extremely Disappointing
Took my family of 8 adults. The restaurant food I was below average. I used to love coming here, not any more. The last few times the food has been very ordinary.
What a shame the food and the menu used to be so good.
The owners need to look at what changes they made and revert it back

Friendly staff, beautiful location on the top of the hill looking out over the city. Food was magnificent. Lamb shank and veg to die for. Steak burger with caramelized onion delicious and the schnitzel burger with a hint of spice was so delicious and satisfying. We all needed a ly down before hitting the road. Our bellies were happy and full on a beautiful, unassuming pub. Thank you for a beautiful lunch.

COLD, COLD, COLD, AIRCON hardly produced any heat. 11 degrees outside, hardly any warmer inside all though aircon shows 24. Was 3 degrees this morning outside so this room was very very cold. Complained last night, they "reset" it. Since it was raining and the only way to reception was down metal stairs outside we couldn't be bothered. We should have. Little hairdryer provided gave more heat than aircon except very noisy.

The food was amazing. I always have low expectations when it comes to pub food for vegans, but this place has both a vegan pizza (not something you have to ask to be made vegan, but an actual vegan pizza on the menu), and a to-die-for cauliflower salad with beetroot dip, amongst other amazing options. Topped off with really great service, they put the heaters on for us outside with no groaning or signs of annoyance that you get for asking at some other places. They made us feel right at home. Then there's that view!! ??'???'???'?

Riley accommodated my needs, he was an amazing host, would recommend to anyone travelling to the area, he was great, would recommend and sad to leave his accomodate side. Also Jordan was good x

I've been to hotels all around world, but none have amazed me as much as the Archibald. What sets apart the Archibald hotel is it's customer service. When I was stranded at a venue, and had not arrived for my check in, they followed up and even went out of there way to help me when I was stranded. They went above and beyond, and I got the opportunity to chat with the loveliest people. The Archibald should be very proud of the dedicated, hardworking and kind individuals that it has.
A clean hotel, with a great location, good prices and an exemplary team.

We had our daughters christening dinner/ surprise wedding dinner at the Archibald hotel and we couldn't have been happier the service the staff and the food were exceptional. We got so many compliments on how amazing the night was.
It's definitely a night we will remember and we wouldn't change a thing

Great service, extensive menu and great food very well priced. My steak was perfect !!! For those that need it, there are many gluten free options to choose from.

Rode in with a bike club yesterday (sunday) Super experience from the girl behind the bar being courteous and professional to the gentleman who accommodated our fussy dietary requirements, mate you are an absolute legend and I would gladly buy you a beer any day of the week. Steak was cooked perfectly for us and in summary this is an example of a true Australian establishment that cares about its patrons and goes the extra distance to ensure satisfaction. To the staff at the Archibald Hotel, you should be very proud of yourselves.

The Archibald is on an escarpment that overlooks a near 180 degree view of the northern half of Sydney, with uninterrupted views all the way to the coast and ocean. Food is good with a menu of the pub classics, but a few other really nice dishes. A normal Aussie pub tap list. If you're travelling on Bells Line of Road, well worth a stop for a drink or feed. Dogs welcome with plenty of outdoor/undercover seating.

We often travel out to the Archibald for special family lunches. The food is always great and we love that we can take our dog. Two Sundays ago we took our visiting relatives and were not just disappointed but revolted by how bad the food was. Worst on the list was the marinara which at best can be described as something out of a tin with rubbery chunks of octopus thrown in. My daughter ordered the chicken wings which have been brilliant in the past but this time undercooked with what seemed liked some sort of thin sauce off the supermarket shelf. The duck breast was a lonely dried up morsel on a plate with some sorrowful vegetable and the burger, whilst palatable, was certainly not what we had experienced in the past. Sadly, we will never be going back. At $124 for a meal we couldn't stomach finishing. No thanks. We felt embarrassed we had subjected our guests to this meal when it was supposed to be a special event. The one star is for the staff who were courteous and attentive. I felt sorry for them having to trot out the rubbish we were served.

Had Sunday lunch. Great selection of beers. Good pub food, nothing fancy by cooked well and decent menu. Friendly staff and a great views. Will definitely return.

Great pub food was sensational stayed the night for the a wedding and they couldn't have been a greater night prior to a wedding thankyou. Highly recommended

Booked 1 night in a room to stay after a wedding.

The room was clean and tidy and had everything we needed.

Fan in the bathroom didn't work and the room is slightly dated but not bad considering the price.

Very good food. Staff members are really friendly and funny. We stayed there for 2 night as well in the hotel. Bed was very comfortable, water pressure was amazing. Very spacious room as well. And not too mention what a wonderful view of the entirety of Sydney and the surrounding area, that we have from the pub and also our room. Love it and would definitely come back again!

Lovely meals, friendly staff, great location and views. I ordered the crumbed chicken schnitzel, chips and salad, leaves were fresh and full of flavour, aioli sauce a delight, and the steaming hot schnitzel and chips did not disappoint, hubby was equally pleased with his chicken parmigiana. It's our second visit here and we will be sure to visit again. Thank you.

Beautiful view and delicious food!!! I would have rated it 5 stars had our meals (hubby, myself and MIL) not taken a really long time to come out. The rest of my family (9 ppl) had ordered not long before us and their meals did not take as long to come out so not sure why ours did? After waiting about 30 mins my husband had to go and check what was taking so long and not long after they had come out boy were they a generous serving! Definitely great value for $$$. Despite this we all really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely come back again!

The food was served on time, presentation was perfect and the serving size was superb.
We had 16 people and the functions co-ordinator ensured the whole function ran smoothly.
Very impressed and the mountain views were sublime.

Very nice lunch. Views are spectacular through to Sydney. Was raining and fogy while we were there but was happy to sit back and enjoy our meal.

Lunch Menu on the whole very pricey $24.00 for a beef burger and chips is a good example. There were some menu items for $11.00 but it was mainly kids type meals which l don't like and are not very nutritious. Also a long walk to the bar to order the food and only one staff taking orders. However my burger was very tasty and staff provided me with a container so that l can take my uneaten chips home. Dining room very well set up now. Table service was good.

We had an hour long wait today for Sunday lunch. The service was awful and they were mad at us for wondering when the food was coming out. When the food finally arrived, the burger patty was burnt, the serving size of the squid was tiny for $22 and the side salad was just dry carrot and radish! My mum ordered the stuffed eggplant, which was just a small half of an eggplant with no seasoning or flavour, and had dry rocket accompanying the meal. The barramundi, however, was cooked perfectly but the potatoes were under seasoned.

What a great pub this was. Was there on Saturday night and had a blast. Recommend it to everyone. The food was A-class quality and the beers were all fantastic. The staff were all very friendly and helpful- made you feel like one of the locals. One of the standouts though was the courtesy bus driver. She had fantastic people skills, personality and drove that bus like a pro!!!! Well done to all.

Great food, warm hospitality and picturesque views of Sydney from this place.. sitting outside is definitely recommended, but there are heaps of tables closer to the windows that give you "most of the view"...
Went there for my first ride on the Bells of Line road and I think this will be my favourite pit stop going forward.
I had order the Chicken Supreme and absolutely loved it..
