This is a wonderful restaurant with great food and atmosphere. Great specials throughout the week also! My parents were visiting, with their small dog, the Anthill staff were very accommodating to their well behaved small dog on leash.

Absolutely gorgeous environment and service. Had a great meal over the expectation. Professionalism overwhelmed. The word of mouth about the place was disgraceful and complete bluff. We will definitely visit you again and again guys.

Friendly happy staff. Food was great! The barramundi with citrus sauce was amazing!! As was the parma and the steak. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and delicious!! Was a very relaxed ambience here.

The service received was poor and staff were rude. So called crumbed steak was a thin slice of roast beef and an inch of crumbs. I would have been better off chewing an akubra. The wait time was ridiculous, you are looking at 20 mins and if they forget your meal it is an extra 1hr wait.

We had gone in for a lunch on Sunday; we received slow and terrible service. They allowed us to order a meal and didn't clarify it wasn't available until we went up and asked for it after waiting 20 minutes. Went up to the counter only to be informed it was not available so alternative meals were ordered, waited over 20 minutes again; still had not received alternative meals. As we were about ask for a refund they brought the meals out. We requested take away containers and left. We will not be returning and are very unhappy.

It's always a pleasure to be looked after by Tracy and her great crew. The food is always top notch, more that is usually expected from a pub.
I had the 200g rump steak special and was pleasantly surprised again by its quality.
I'll be back!

Really nice people and love the outdoor dining area, but the steak .. the reason why we go to a steak house .. chewy, tough and no real flavour. And not nearly enough gravy even if it were a juicy tasty steak.
Chips were great, fresh and nicely seasoned, salad was fresh and crisp but unimaginative .. same as we can get most anywhere. So no rave review I'm sorry. Was the steak at room temp before it got put on the grill? Try seasoning it liberally before frying and use real butter says my google search on how to cook a good steak. I never cook steak because I can't do it better, that's why we go to a steak house.

Cannot thank Tracy and the team enough for going above and beyond to make my Son's 18th the best party ever.the staff were very friendly ,food and drinks service so fast and very reasonable priced the meals were massive and good quality even though we had a large number of people no one waited to long .food was delicious 😋 the live entertainment was so good everyone really enjoyed themselves .I highly recommend it you are wanting to book a venue this is the place to be .they will go out of their way to make every detail exactly how you want .Amazing 😍

We just had dinner here and couldn't fault it. All the meals were great! Special thanks to Mia whose service was fantastic and the Chef who went above and beyond to accommodate my requests!

Steak was cooked to perfection with an amazing pepper sauce. They made room for us even though we didn't have a booking. Only cons are noisy and the table and chairs are very wobbly.

Only called in for a drink on the way through, But the barmaid was GORGEOUS 😍 ??'? ❤

Food is a bit expensive comparatively.
Otherwise everyone is friendly and the bar staff are heaps better than the previous.

Had an amazing dinner with my partner at the anthill. You can clearly tell that the chef loves his job by the quality of food and the personal greetings we received. The food arrived so quickly way quicker than the gateway and the service we received was very personalised. It's a shame that there wasn't more people there enjoying the service that we received. Plus it was peaceful it was like eating at a proper restaurant.

After being advised that their "till error" had caused an anaphylactic reaction was simply offered a refund (which was not taken) on that Caesar salad and vouchers (as if I would risk dining here again). THEY WERE CLEARLY TOLD NO ANCHOVIES AND TO ADD CHICKEN DUE TO ALLERGY. Upon returning to the Anthill I asked for their manager's details but was told that they didn't have the details available and to give them mine (which usually gets filled in the bin).
I highly recommend looking for a different venue to dine at. PISS POOR ALL ROUND

All up our order totalled $101 and came with a free side of dealing with an anaphylactic partner and absolutely no resolution from the manager (who was the one who put the order through).

Bet I never hear from the venue again even though they have our contact information.

I must admit had my sons 21st in bistro area n the staff were so polite n helpful n service was amazing n food was awesome thankyou very much. I would highly recommend this place and music in front bar was ??'?

We booked a twin room, very old but new bed and spotless sheets. They charged an extra $50.00 for a key that was refundable. Only problem was we had to wait from 8.30 to 10.00 to get refund as there were no staff on.

This weekend we held our 40 Year school reunion at the AntHill hotel. We hired the restaurant area for the event. It was a Huge Success!
I had the absolute pleasure of working with Tracey in the 7 months lead up to the Event. She was just brilliant! Nothing was a problem for her and the she made everything seamless on the night. Thank you to Tracey and her team starting with the Head Chef who gave us delicious and sumptuous Food for our Buffet, to the bar and hospitality staff for the event. A truly awesome location and Pub to host the event in.

It was an excellent lunch we had at the Ant Hill Hotel. I take my hat off for the bar attendant who was on her own. She managed and looked after our lunch orders and drinks. There were about 14 of us. Plus the other people in the dining room. My compliments.

We dropped in for a cold frosty on a Saturday arvo. Quite possibly the most hostile crowd I've encountered. Sterile lighting, no music and some red hot customers on the pine. Thought I was going to have a schooner glass launched at my head. Punter #1 - crusty, foul mouthed and with eyes that'd snatch your soul. Not happy about anything. Punter # 2 - dressed like Basil Fawlty, thinks a zinger burger will sober you up after 8 beers, enjoys a point. Between them they're responsible for arguably the most profane dialogue you'll come across. Not enjoyable. Would avoid.

I'd like to do a shout out to the manager of the Anthill Hotel. Tracy. For having a vision and going above and beyond to give the Anthill the long awaited shake up it needed. From the line up of live entertainment, 8 Ball Aitken and Creedence Clearwater Revival to fine dinning in the bistro with a satisfying menu and welcoming staff to boot. The Anthill Hotel has picked up its pace thanks to new management and fantastic friendly staff who all have worked as a team to bring us quality service and a great atmosphere for all to enjoy and experience.

Just had lunch there, chicken Parma was overcooked and dry and the roast pork was tough potato's undercooked and tasted like old boots, all other Vegi's were tasteless and no apple sauce, won't be going back. Staff member was rude, couldn't even acknowledge us waiting to be served, also face mask was under her nose, other staff not wearing mask not good covid safe practices at all.

Cold beer and great service. Good enough for me.

We had our Valentine's dinner there tonight and can say that we will be going again. The surf and turf with garlic sauce was done to perfection and the meat on the bbq beef ribs just fell off the bone. The meals were very tasty and the service was good. See you all again soon.

Food great everything lovely and hot when delivered to table, steaks fantastic exactly as ordered. Staff doing a great job under pressure. Definitely will be back.
