If you need a quick good feed after playing 18 holes of putt-putt golf. Definitely a good place to stop in for a meal and a drink. Good prices and really tasty food.

We were originally going to the local pizza place but they were soooooo busy.. headed to the tavern and WOW! Fantastic gluten free pizza... so hard to find. It was great!!!! Service lovely. Cannot fault this place. 5 stars ?

The food is always great. The staff are spectacular, never had a bad interaction with them and the atmosphere is amazing. From my time being there I've never had any bad interactions with anyone.

Overall this place is an amazing place to eat and relax with friends and family.

We recently dined at the Anna Bay Tavern and had a pleasant experience. The food was prepared quickly, allowing us to satisfy our hunger without any long waits. The ambiance of the place was decent, creating a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere for a casual pub meal.

While the food was not extraordinary, it met our expectations for classic pub-style cuisine, perfect for a quick bite or a casual gathering with friends.

Food is typical pub grub that you'd find anywhere. Beers are all the normal mainstream that you'll find anywhere. Pity neither of these included any local fare.
Shame that visiting on hottest 100 day they were playing greatest hits from yesteryear over the PA.

Good tasty pub food and relaxed courtyard area. Main order taker was friendly and helpful. We couldn't find a current menu online to order ahead, so here it is!

Liked this place, nice ambience. Many options on the menu different types of pizzas ?, pastas ?, chips ? and many more in both veg and non veg. Moreover it has bar section on the other side as well. Taste & service is really great.

Anna Bay Tavern was such a great place to eat and rest for a while before going to the beach. The food there is very reasonable and the food is extremely worth the price, food was tasty and I wish I could go back to eat again. Atmosphere was great and the place is relaxing, great to bring kids or just hang out with your mates.

Stopped in for lunch Monday after father's day. Had barramundi lunch special. Fish very dry salad was just leaves and chips dry. I'll give them a miss next time.

Have dined at this Bistro 3 times in 5 days while on our vacation. First time reviewer, but cannot praise Kaushal. (chef) and his team highly enough for their menu options, specials, size and quality of meals! Excellent value for money and exceptional customer service. We dropped in twice - once for dinner and the other for lunch the next day. Both times were a great experience with live music during a late lunch.

There's a huge outdoor area out back with lots of seating and shaded areas.

Great food! Staff were all friendly. Nice outdoor tables. Kids area looked great too. (My teenage son declined my suggestion to try out.) Definitely recommend this place.

Great sized meals, value for money. Great customer service. Kids are made to feel welcome. Great job guys. Wish we had found this place earlier, as we are leaving tomorrow. If you in Nelson bay, do yourself a favour and check this place out.

We have visited the Anna Bay Tavern many times and always been impressed with the quality and freshness of the food. Today we had the Sunday Special again - the Sunday roast.
Very tasty, tender and perfectly cooked veggies. Served piping hot. Definitely the best Roast in the Bay.
Everyone is super friendly - chef, kitchen staff, wait staff and bar.
Chef 'G' is particularly a highlight for us! Sooo pleased this is our new local tavern. Thank you!

Had a great dinner here. Firstly the courtesy bus made getting to and from the Tavern so easy - driver was extra friendly too. The food we received was fresh, tasty and large portions. Staff were great they were all so friendly and so attentive. Looking forward to coming back already!

There is nothing worse than a restaurant that over charges then cuts every corner possible.
We paid $84 for 3 schnitzels and cheesy garlic bread.
The schnitzels were left in a warmer to cut corners on the prep, they were uneatable and tasteless. The salad was a wilted joke just spinach and cabbage. No salt or pepper used in prep so nothing had flavour. The chips were okay and cheese was nice but the Napoli sauce was from a jar with giant uncooked hunks of raw carrot and celery that looked like it had been prepared by someone with the knife skills of a toddler. The garlic bread was a piece of toast with a vague hint of garlic and a bit of melted cheese for $9! I didn't pay good money for a dodgy chef that can only melt cheese and operate a deep fryer.
I feel like I was just robbed by people doing a really poor job of preparing Aussie pub food.
I've been here prior to these people owning the restaurant and the food was great.
I will not return until these thieves sell up.

Ordered 2 Spinach ricotta Raviolis. It cost us $40 and when we went and get the order there were about 8 Raviolis in each plate. It was tasty but not value for the money we paid. For $20 just about 8 Raviolis. I believe the chef just divided one plate meal into two. And my friends waited for more than 30 mins for their food. Also we were told there were shortage of food in the kitchen. Its not fair they charged $20 for a small dish and it ended up buying more food. Not recommend Anna Bay Tavern to anyone.

Seafood Plater is huge and delicious. We like the sauces come with it. Oysters are well done nicely present. Very causal setting but food are very decent. Ample of parking parking onsite too. Good for family to stop by when visiting.

Plenty of parking, nice outdoor space out the back which is covered. Heaters for the winter, fans for the summer with mist nozzles. 2x big screen TVs for the sport. Decent food menu, actual food not terrible but not mind blowing. Choice of drinks could be better, seems to have every one of the 'Standard' beers. No craft ale available.

Good service, good facilities and good pub food.

Came for a weekend away with my wife at Port Stephens and have been blown away by this pub, have eaten here twice and the food is hugely genourous and amazing. Beer is spot on as is the staff and the friendly locals.
