This spot was once a perfect weekend retreat with a fantastic atmosphere and vibe. On our first visit, the food was incredible - full of quality and flavor. We had a steak sandwich, prawn pizza, and a cheeseburger meal for the kid, all of which were excellent.

However, our experience yesterday was disappointing. The steak sandwich arrived cold, with over-toasted bread and chewy meat, barely masked by a minimal amount of chimichurri sauce. The pork tacos were also a letdown; the pork seemed to have been refried in a fryer, leaving it as dry as a desert storm - not worth the $22 price tag.

Ironically, the kid's cheeseburger meal was the highlight of the meal, outshining everything else.

Enjoyed a great day & night spent at the American Hotel, enjoying 4 bands as part of the last day of the 2024 Echuca Winter Blues Festival. The only negative was the occasional bar staff not heeding the specific requests when ordering drinks, and not stocking basics such as Guinness. We heard one bloke ask for a Bloody Mary, and the bartender said "No, I'm not making that". Not good enough - it's a bar, people! Could use improvement in that area. But a top venue to listen to live music. Wood fires in front of the stage to keep punters warm while dancing. Food was pretty good too. We'll be back - hopefully next time for a Guinness! 😉

It's a pretty expensive pub/bar serving flavourless and cold food. Beer prices were touching the sky, and I had to wait for 15-20 minutes to just order a pint. Then, I'd to wait again for 15 minutes to order food on the other counter. Also, the 10% discount was only for the locals, which I couldn't fathom much.

My wife and I got married here and could not recommend it enough! Amy was amazing helping us with the whole planning process as well as on the day. Shane and Alex were our managers for the night and we couldn't have asked for anyone better! We had an incident with a guest and they handled it perfectly and discreetly and constantly checked in on me and my wife throughout the night. All staff involved on the day/night were honestly awesome and we can't thank them enough for an absolute amazing wedding day and gorgeous venue. Thanks again guys you're the best and all our guests agree! Highly, highly recommend.

Good food, excellent service, great atmosphere.
Not much else else you need in a pub except good drinks. They have plenty of them as well.
No disappointment here.
Tuesday steak nights are highly recommended as well.
