A historic cottage used as a cozy local tavern. Lovely place with beautiful landscaping and a sizeable playground for kids. Wheelchair accessible ramps located at front entrance and courtyard.
As beautiful as this place is. The food is below sub par costing a little more than your average meal

I don't know what it is but the food was really bad. Usually I'm completely fine with food and nothing grosses me out but the smell of the food alone made me uncomfortable. The seafood platter was so weird, had a weird smell and wasn't worth $45. The salmon is the think sliced smoked packaged type and only 2 prawns. I used to go here as a kid and it was great now it's just completely fallen

Had dinner there tonight, we were pleasantly surprised, really nice food, good variety a little gem for the west.

Delicious unassuming classic pub food. Intricate heritage restoration, kids friendly and good for big family gatherings. Classic Australian alcohol selection, can be improved with more variety.

The play area for the kids, being fencing off is great. The play area is perfect for all aged kids.

A beautiful hidden and cozy pub in Rooty Hill. Burger was super delicious but a bit hard to eat, obviously because of it's big size ? loved the variety of choices in the food menu ??'????'??

Great food, Good Service, nice outdoor area with cover and a large area for kids to play on equipment. Just be careful for some of the tree roots in the dirt around the equipment.

Recently revisited and happy to say that the quality and overall experience has not deteriorated one iota and is as good as ever!

The Alroy is a relaxed and friendly environment for anyone looking for a great day out. A beautiful house set in large gardens with plenty of things for the kids to do. The food is excellent and our whole experience was first rate!

Work Christmas lunch. Really enjoyed my wagu burger with fries. Beautiful place and scenery. Feels like I'm in the country somewhere.

Had lunch thete today. The Trio plate was fantastic Chorizo very smokey huge depth of flavour. WAGYU steak burger juicy and tender

Ok, why hasn't anyone told me about this place before??? We went there today, it's awesome!! it's a pub with an outside that's inside, an inside that inside, and an outside that's way outside with a play area for the kids!!! If you like your chicken schnitzel, you'll love this one, very tasty, good chips and salad, and I don't even like salad!. The kids get a free ice cream with their meal, and all round a great place to hang out for an afternoon, with friends and the kids.

our daughter held her 50th birthday there yesterday 30th July 22, cannot speak highly enough. We were greeted with a smile, service was excellent and food to die for. The staff were genuinely polite and friendly. Our whole group of 15 were very impressed and will definately return. Having read some of the other reviews, most of them highly praise this venue and the staff. In my view, I agree with the high praise. If a person thinks they should be treated like royalty and treat staff with rude arrogance, they should expect to be treated the same way. Some people just cannot be happy with anything and need help

I have been going to this place for years, and it never disappoints! The food is always so hearty n wholesome, it's like even if the food are essentially pub feeds, the chef/s prepare the meals wid such love I feel... The menu and food selection provides great variety as well, and service from staff is alwayz 5 ⭐️!!!

Was beyond disappointed. Ordered burger and beer combo. Kids calamari, wedges and the spaghetti chicken boscaiola.... Let's just say the hottest dish on the table was the wedges. The boscaiola had a balsamic reduction around it, which I have never seen before (didn't taste good) and it was NOT hot... More like warm to room temp...didn't seem fresh at all.....the kids calamari only came with 3 calamari rings...... 3.... Wow....

We had a fantastic night at Alroy tavern.
The manager Linda was a pure delight.
She not only made our night very accommodating but we also overheard other guests chatting amongst themselves about her quality customer service and kind nature.
Food was great and staff were all very helpful and polite.
Will be coming back 5 stars well deserved

I recently had my 50th here and I can honestly say it was awesome. Great staff and a great atmosphere. Everybody was happy with the food and they did an awesome job getting it out. A job well done.

Quiet,cosy, and family style tavern. Menu has quite a selection, love my ABC snitzel, prices are reasonable as well. Staff are friendly and quick service.

The people and I who visited the Alroy Tavern for a celebration have been here before, like the staff, the food and atmosphere. Thank you for a great lunch will be back as we have been previously.

On Saturday, 21 August 2020 about 1 pm, my husband & I attended a birthday party which we were hoping to celebrate & enjoy. However, it seems that the manager on duty at that time had different plans that we expected. This started when we first arrived, we noticed a certain hostility towards us especially when we were advised that we were joining my friends birthday party. Shortly after we arrived, when we greeted our friends she rudely came down to where we were sitting & said, in an intimidating way that we should not move from our table which we didnt know that we were not allowed to stand up or take photos. But because we were setting up the table then we have no choice but to stand up.Thats the time that she came rushing down yelled & screamed out that we shouldnt be moving. We felt embarrassed in front of the other guests. We are well aware of the current restrictions & always abide the rules.We understand that in the current environment everyone has to abide by the Covid rules & regulations. However, as a paying customers, we are expecting to be treated with respect & enjoy our meal with the birthday celebrant in the outdoor table that they have allocated to us.This manager on duty should learn the value of respect, managerial & peoples skills. We found her behaviour unprofessional, unpleasant & condescending. I would hesitant to recommend to my other friends & family to dine at this restaurant after having a bad experienced with that manager. Which is unfortunate because we havent experience this rudeness from other managers in this restaurant.

Bad Customer Service. Definitely we are not coming back that tavern ever again.
