Nice homely meals, staff were very busy and needed more help it was a very busy night when we went this past Saturday. The prices very expensive for pub meals, but where isn't these days.

Sensational food, served with a smile. Reasonable prices and the locals are friendly too (one got up and opened 2 lots of doors for me when they saw me carrying a tray of drinks)

The beer garden out the back with woodfired pizza is an absolute must! They really should advertise it more as it's recently been done up and is such a lovely space with great food. Only annoying thing is that the pizza comes out super quick compared to the bistro menu so if you happen to order from both, maybe delay your pizza order a little if you want them to come out on time. Some child friendly games/space would further add value to the location as it's currently lacking.

Restaurant is absolutely the best aspect of this pub, and suspect that's leased to a third party. Otherwise pub is very ordinary. Accommodation spartan and about 50 years out of date. Guessing pub is making so much money through Snowy 2 there is little incentive to invest. Eat, but don't stay is my tip!

Best pub lunch I've ever had! We stopped on the way home from the snow and stumbled across the Alpine Hotel. We ordered the Pork Belly pieces and Fish Tacos which were not only reasonably priced but also generous servings. Both meals were DELICIOUS! We sat out the back which has been beautifully renovated and was lovely on a warm afternoon. Highly recommend!

10/10++ Hospitality second to none. Great choice of cold draught beer, spirits, and wines. ((Beware of the warming red wines on a cool night ? definately moorish))
Restaurant meals and service are also excellent. We stayed overnight and will definitely be back. Make sure you dine in, and also try a bevvie in the iconic beer garden out back. Standing in front of the massive fireplace on a cold Cooma evening is therapeutic ...... I can't wait for freshmade woodfired Pizza in the beer garden again. Thanks to all at "The Alpine" for your genuine hospitality and care. A credit to you all.

We stopped in for lunch on the way home from the snow and we weren't disappointed. Great food and friendly staff.

Always consistent in what they do. Booked for a lunch work function Friday this week. Meals are always delicious. Friendly and helpful staff.

We had a meal and while they had run out of their vegan options on the menu they made us a lovely meal. Thank you

Awful restaurant service and wait time. After ordering, it took 1.5 hrs to receive 3 meals. Highly disappointed. I visited this pub approximately 15 years ago and similarly took 2hrs to receive our meals. I expected that after all this time, the restaurant and kitchen would have better organisation, but no. If you want a meal within 2 HOURS OF ORDERING, don't bother coming

Nice ambiance good meals friendly service. Loads of character and charm in this building. Looking forward to dining here again soon.

Always stop at the Alpine for Dinner every time we come to the snow. The food , staff and vibe is always excellent. Would highly recommend.

We had dinner at the Alpine Hotel on the 27/4/23 my slow braised lamb shank and mash was excellent my wife had the pasta of the day the ravioli
We both also had the specials desert...Apple and Rubarb crumble...yum

I just stopped in for lunch. My steak was over cooked, but it was a quality cut of meat, so it wasn't too bad. The garlic bread was quite possibly the best I've had.

Food is overpriced for the quality. The staff are not particularly friendly, and found them quite rude and dismissive. If I were the owners I'd definitely look into that. Definitely won't recommend or will not return

Had dinner in the restaurant and the restaurant and also the bar staff could not have been nicer or more friendly with nothing being too much trouble with the delicious meal coming quickly.
Pub itself wasn't crowded and therefore had a spacious feel. Found the old Snowy pictures interesting.

A $26 fish and chips. A 45 minute wait and what I got was a measly 6 inch (at best) fillet of fish that was partially grey and entirely tasteless, a small portion of lukewarm chips and an enormous chunk of tomato smothered in a dressing.

I have had dinner here 3 times during my visits here for work. Had to wait an hour for cold, dry tough steak. This is the last time, I would not recommend it to anyone.

We used the Alpine Hotel for a small group training workshop and it was spot on. Great spaces, helpful staff (Daniel) and the scones hit the mark. Just need to come back for a steak one night to top it all off.

The staff and service was excellent.. the manager saw our motorcycles in the street and insisted we park them inside his garage - by moving his car out first. The barmaid overhead me talking about seeing a doctor (arm injury) and offered assistance with directions to NSW Health Cooma Hospital. A big thanks to the staff there too!
The rooms and shared bathrooms are very clean and comfortable. Conveniently located 2 minutes walk to restaurants, supermarket etc.
Love the historic photos of the 1949 snow storm, hydro development and the early snow sports.
Great value accommodation with the best hot showers.

Had dinner there after a day of snowboarding. It was just what we needed. The wood-fired pizza was amazing! Delicious sourdough crust, quality ingredients and great size. I wish had easier access to try the other pizza options too.

Great place to stay en route to snowys. Managers/staff super helpful and friendly! Good pub and drinks! Good prices for basic rooms (heating snd electric blankets). Some noise from road/toilets but not more than what's expected in an old aussie hotel! No kettle or cooking in room (pretty standard for basic hotels but just FYI)! Plenty of cafes and restaurants in area open early! Will stay again!

What can I say, Michael and all the staff are amazing. Travelled through and stopped for lunch, travelled to Cooma and stayed multiple times. Each time as good as the last.

CARD DETAIL NOT SAFE. Charged extra $300 and never send me pictures of what happened even after many requests.
Kitchen was there but we were not allowed to use microwave and kettle even for our toddlers milk. Bought kettle for kids milk and they considered it cooking. They want us to buy their expensive food.
Room smells bad and loud voices all night. Have to park at distance to stay overnight.
I did selected this hotel after seeing reviews. After going through reviews thoroughly I feel they give service to specific people they like, a bit racist.
I hope it reaches management so they work on their service.
THIS MIGHT BE A GOOD PUB, DEFINITELY NOT A GOOD PLACE TO STAY.

Friendly service and great atmosphere. Perfect value accommodation for our 1 night, room only share bathroom as we were right there in town and able to stretch our legs and walk out around town.

Loved staying here, rooms simple but cosy. All the staff were wonderful. Food was excellent, even when we had a issue with one of the dishes, it was fixed immediately, no fuss. We stayed in a room (rm27) that had

2 single beds and shared bathroom. Bathroom was clean and tidy and rooms serviced daily with fresh towels and soap, would recommend this place and certainly stay again myself.

3 stars because of fast service and friendly staff but let me tell you ........ I ordered medium rare rump steak with mash and veggies... I got steak that was overcooked to point that it had a texture of a shoe rubber and veggies were so raw that it tasted like they are fresh from the field , still had the taste of dirt on them ! But its all good just I understand after a long day of work you can mix up steak with veggies and cook it the other way around. I mean I sometimes mix up the hammer and level and use them the opposite way so I can't blame .. I ones used screws as nails , it took me half day before I understood I had to use a rattlegun to get them in not a hammer

Great rescue! We arrived with what we thought was a booking from Bookings.com only to find it had been cancelled. The whole region was booked out due to the long W/end so we were quite stressed we might be sleeping in the car. Heather the manager was able to find a room on the spot while we were at the bar. She was a real lifesaver, thank you! We stayed for a few drinks & dinner also - great portions. Food & service was awesome.

Just attended the business awards night on 28th May it was amazing the food was delicious the room was massive very good service toilets spotless has a nice bar area where you can eat if you chose also an outdoor areas they also have accommodation.

The meals were so fresh and tasty. We had fish & chips, chicken schnitzel and pork tortillas ??

Disappointed. Upon arrival (4pm) we asked if any bar snacks were available and we were told the kitchen wouldn't open till 6pm. So had a drink and killed time. We were hungry and the clincher for why we booked the Alpine was because the reviews of the restaurant were great and we liked the idea of being able to eat and then head upstairs to bed. 6pm came around and we headed into the restaurant only to be snapped at and told it was closed for a week and by the same person who checked us in and said that the "kitchen" would be open at 6pm! Turns out by "kitchen" she must have meant a Mexican food truck they had parked up outside (in the freezing cold). Really not impressed that this wasn't communicated to us prior to our arrival or upon check in and most definitely not impressed with the poor staff attitude. Went to the Indian across the street which I recommend! Room was neat and clean - no issues with that. Won't be back though.

What a great pub. Bar staff remembered our drinks order and were very friendly. Wonderful atmosphere. Busy for dinner but well spaced. Nice place for families to grab a meal.

The food was outstanding and the service was great. Staff were all incredibly patient with the 7 unruly children we had with us which is a huge plus for us! Would definitely recommend this place and go back next time we are in Cooma.
