The value for money is very good. It was a very busy night (Father's Day) so it took a long time to get our meal but that's understandable. Unfortunately the chicken that I ordered was unavailable but I was impressed that I was offered a free upgraded to sirloin steak. I always appreciate good customer service when things don't go perfectly to plan. Therefore I recommend this place.

What a deal! $16 for a steak and beer! Come on!!! Cooked nicely, the meat quality is more than what I expected given price.
The brownie and ice cream was awesome and the service was so friendly.

Greatly surprised at how nice our meals were here. I have dined at Allawah on and off for years but my most recent experience June 2023 was a stand out. Super cool deals and food cooked to perfection! It gets busy when the game is on creating a lively, family friendly atmosphere. Service was prompt & pleasant from the staff.

Had an issue with a meal not being served, raised said issue with the manager Simon, and he instantly refunded the meal and rushed a new one out free of charge.

Extremely impressed by this alone and hence the 5*. Not many are willing to accept their mistakes these days and tend to form a defensive position by instinct, in return destroying the establishments integrity. Not Simon, a true manager who dealt with the situation head on.

Food was extremely well priced and the plate was left bare on both sides of the table, props to the chef. Most certainly will return to spend my refund there soon! Thank you for a pleasant experience.

Possibly the best value local pub in Sydney? Nicely presented, tastefully renovated bar and dining area offering a wide range of meals all of which met with positive comments from our group of 5 hungry walkers. The beer options are not as wide as some but still reasonable. Food prices are very reasonable and if combined with a complementary beverage are downright cheap.

It's an old place upstairs smells and needs renovations. Haven't tried food there but I always go for the beer which I like. Staffs are good but some need to learn to pour a beer since it cost 8 dollars something for a schooner. Overall it's a good place.

Recently found out this pub was owned by MERIVALE. Burger was solid and going midweek lunch it was a $20 combo with chips and drink. Extra beef patty made it $25. Not an amazing burger - probably the higher standard for a pub burger though. Not rushing back any time soon.

Excellent value for money, the food was really good, healthy and cheap

Food is excellent, service is great. Downstairs is nice and spacious, and it can get quite busy and loud with yelling kids depending on the night. Upstairs is more of a pub vibe, nicely decorated but very stuffy/hot sometimes.
QR code ordering is a pain in the butt and sadly becoming the norm, however is appreciated in times of staff shortage.
Overall great place for casual drinks and dinner and I'm lucky to have it as my local.

I loved this place. Great staff and friendly service.
Come and try chicken spicy bites, just the sauce is hot but delicious also comes with a homemade white sauce.
If you want meat the rump is the best option; choose your cook term, this comes with salad and chips. I recommend to take the steamed veggies are just delicious, fresh and crunchy.
The kitchen is really fast the average serving time is 10-15 minutes in a medium busy time.
This is a great place to eat with your family and friends.

Overall rundown for the newly owned merivale owned venue - The place is fairly large, the service was immaculate (however the QR scanner for ordering food is awkward imo) and the food was mostly really good..

..My 400g rib eye steak was perfectly cooked medium rare like i asked, my friends dishes were also nice - the pad see ew, parmigiana and salmon. However the chicken burger was very average. The barman was good at taking the order and the waiters knew where to bring the food with no confusion. The service was fast as well. The prices are reasonable..

..Some negatives, it was a bit confusing at first as we didnt know where to order and weren't greeted or seated/it is very busy and the layout is awkward. Where you eat is in-between the bar and the pokies.

Allawah pub 6-18 months ago was great Monday there was 2 for 1 and the meals were greatly priced we would always go without 6 people at lest however I attended a few months ago the 2 for 1 was no longer available which I was disappointed in . On Wednesdays we used to attend after oz tag and have trivia and a well priced for the portion and quality .
12 months ago they used to have steak/schnitzel chips and salad for $9.90 the increase happened 4 weeks ago it is the same meal however $15 more can someone please explain to me how this has inflated so much?

We used to go every Monday and Wednesday we however will not be attending again. I believe they have lost a lot of local customers

What's next are the beer and wine prices going to increase???

A decent pub owned by the Merivale group. It can get pretty full for dinner. They operated a function upstairs.

Great staff, comfy venue, Definitely worth the. Is it for dinner! Rib Rye just went up to $38 in April 2022. 2 for 1 Tuesday is gone. At that price, It's getting hard to find reasons to eat there often considering what's around.

Local pub. They have relaxing environment. Great choice of beer and drinks on tap including (Guinness).

Food portions are good.
The noise acoustics aren't that great so it gets quite noisy, but at least you don't have to yell to talk to each other.
Lighting isn't the best in the booths, but otherwise decent food for the price it is.

Amazing Steaks and Schnitzels starting at 10.99 for a huge plate of goodness, chips, salad and steak or salad, along with your choice of gravy! On Mondays its 2 for 1! INSANE!

Allawah hotel is a nice refurbished pub, the layout is open plan, so very easy to navigate and the flow leads you to either, the bar, the restaurant or the gaming room.Great food and more drinks then you can poke a stick at, makes the Allawah hotel a must for anyone looking for good food and a pleasant drink any time of the day or night!Cheers...

Place is cozy and clean, had a good meal for a reasonably cheap price. They have daily specials going on, which changes depending on what day you're visiting. The daily specials are not a bad deal. I had myself a ribeye steak ($33), and unless you're a food hog like myself, that portion usually can feed 2 people. Service was decent, and what I'd come to expect from a standard bar/pub type of service. I haven't really investigated but from a glance it looks like they don't have dedicated parking, which can be a challenge for visit during busy times. But overall I enjoyed my time there.
