Would Highly recommend if coming past, the lunch menu although we only tried the chicken Caesar salad , the New Zealand wine was also lovely and beer was lovely as well. Staff also friendly & would highly recommend the chicken Caesar salad , was the best one we have ever had!

The food was seriously impressive at this hidden gem! Gorgeous garden to dine in. Slightly grumpy service but forgiven as the experience was overall fantastic for a family post bush walk lunch. Pizza was authentic and delicious, burgers next level and calamari and garlic prawns better than you get in most Sydney pubs. 5 stars

Stopped off here for some lunch on our way back to Sydney. All of us enjoyed our food which was excellent and reasonably priced, the staff were pleasant and amicable. Had a good choice of wines and beers for the non-drivers. Lovely place for a spot of food and to break up your journey home.

We had a delicious meal at the Alexandria Hotel. Such a lovely outdoor area that we dined in, the place was buzzing with other diners. The staff were lovely and the pie and veges were amazing. We will be back ?

Lunch in the sun. Loved it. Come here every time there's a change in ownership or management. This is the first time it's been great. Best pub burger I've ever had, cheese cake was great. Staff were doing a great job despite being left short. Nice long lunch in the beer garden.

Used to have great food and happy attentive staff. Would go a few times a week, but in the last year it's dropped so much that we won't eat there at all and wouldn't recommend. Shame as it was once our favorite local.

Went to dinner last night with some mates and absolutely loved the pizzas and the waiter service. However the chef in the kitchen was beyond rude to the other staff (in an open kitchen) and brought down the mood. You could hear it across the restaurant and we were shocked by how he treated his coworkers.

Went for a birthday lunch. A bit of a disappointment really.
Food was mediocre for the price and the famous chocolate caramel brownie dessert had no chocolate in it. It was a stale caramel brownie nuked warm topped with sickly sweet caramel ice cream and sprinkled with crumbs of something ?
Staff were busy but okay but allowed a construction worker in construction garb to jabber away nonstop on the phone and conduct his business at a table in the middle of the busy dining room. A bit off-putting for those of us who'd dressed up for a nice lunch out.
I wouldn't go there again.

This is a great century-old hotel that offers a really good price! We stayed here overnight and the room brings you the vibes from a century ago! The only downside is that we didn't get a great view at all from our room... but that's okay!!
It is very close to the shops and you get a great view of the mountains on your way there! Free parking outside of the hotel.
Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to stay somewhere that's budget-friendly :)

It's a nice pub and they have a fire place in winter, but the food is the worst! We are locals, so we come here a fair bit and there is always something wrong. Missed on the order, can't choose your side, the portion is tiny and over priced. This time my chicken was raw and cold inside and still had blood coming out of it. I'm not much of a review writer but I thought they should be told that their food is terrible, so they can fix it.

We came on bank holiday Sunday today and the staff were under the pump. Despite that they were super welcoming, accommodated us and the food was lovely. Thank you so much for your hospitality :)

Ate at the pub, the pizza was incredible. We weren't expecting much, and we were so impressed with the food. After being turned away at every restaurant because we didn't have a reservation (they were all very rude about it), this was a nice option for us to enjoy a relaxed meal without any snooty-ness. Will definitely be back.

Tonight, on my way to Sydney, I stopped by Alexandra Hotel in Leura with some friends for a quick dinner, and I was impressed by the exceptional customer service. The chef, Mira, was superb, and the food was divine. We shared a few dishes, and they were all deliciously flavored. I highly recommend this place for its great vibe and fabulous food.

Stopped in for lunch and a pint as we heard the pizza was good. Upon entering we received no welcome or greeting but we're told there was only a limited menu available. Immediately we felt as though f the tall blond woman behind the bar would prefer if we left. We didn't and I ordered a pint and a pizza then the rest of our group ordered theirs. There were 4 of us in total. We sat out back on the patio, and 3 pizzas were delivered. One server informed me mine would be right out. The group wanted some chilli flakes so as I wasn't eating I went inside to ask. As I walked past the pizza oven I noticed there were no pizzas being cooked. I asked about my order and the tall blond woman started telling me I didn't order the 2 for 1. I looked at a menu and said I had ordered this pizza. She continued to argue back and forth with me telling me it was my fault. I stated I had ordered this beer, pointing at the tap and that pizza pointing at the menu. She checked the order on the screen, her facial expression changed and she said I remember you, I'll get your pizza going right now. I thanked her for that and asked another staff member if they had chilli flakes. She looked startled and said they did not. At no time did any staff come by to see if our meal was satisfactory or if we wanted anything further to drink. I suggest the owner spend a bit and time with the staff on some customer service training, sales would no doubt improve dramatically.

Update: 14 of us had lunch here on Saturday (11/3) for a family celebration. My Prawn Pasta was delicious and everyone was happy with their meals. Still highly recommended for great pub meals.

Great pub just outside of Leura serving traditional pub meals in beautiful surroundings, both in and outside.
Can easily cater for larger groups. We were 24 and all got served at the same time. The food was plenty, delicious and well served.

I didn't stay at the hotel but came here for dinner the other night and was very disappointed, I will not be back. One of my friends got food poisoning from eating the burger here which we were all disgusted by.

My friend had almost finished his burger and my chicken schnitzel along with my other friend's were nowhere to be seen. I went up to the bar and explained to the lady and there was absolutely no apology for the wait. I don't know why there was such a delay as it was a week night and the restaurant and bar were very quiet.

When they finally arrived, my piece of chicken was very small compared to the other plate which was disappointing, especially for the price. The chips were terrible. They were almost white in colour and weren't cooked properly. My friend's vegetables were sitting in a bowl that was filled with water. I also ordered vegetables with mine but was given a salad and the peppercorn sauce I asked for came on my friend's plate, instead of mine. My order was not hard to get right especially given how quiet the place was.

I will definitely not be coming back here again and would not recommend it.

On our recent visit to the Blue mountains we were recommended to go for dinner. We went first night and loved it so much we went back second night for dinner. Meals were good. Waitresses were very friendly and helpful. Thursday night pizza night, 2 for 1. Great deal. Would recommend the pizzas and dessert was yummo. We definitely would return next visit.

Best hotel feed we've had in a while. All our meals done proper. Chicken schnitzel crispy coating and juicy chicken. The Parma: every element cooked properly and easily identifiable melding together harmoniously. The steak perfectly cooked as per request. And the bourbon ribs: melt in the mouth, slide off the bone, super tasty not too sweet and oh so generous serving.

Beers are fresh, cold and properly poured.

The staff simply brilliant. Beautiful service, lovely manners (hard to find these days), just makes us want to go back. Benchmark and standard for hospitality for others to take note.

An amazing bistro feast!!
Great Hotel to enjoy a feed for lunch or dinner. Had the 500g rib eye steak and cooked to perfection. Service was impeccable and the chefs were friendly.
Definitely want to return again before we leave our Leura family holiday.

The best wood fire pizza I have ever had!
Fast table service. Gorgonzola pumpkin! Wit a delicious warm mulled wine. Wow! Lovely beer garden. So nice to get away from the noisy busy main drag. Can't wait to come back again.

We had a family gathering here at The Alex a month or so ago and the atmosphere and staff were wonderful. We had several members of our party with specific dietary requirements and we were able to speak with the manager prior to our booking and chose meals so the chef was prepared. The meals were absolutely delightful. We will certainly be back and highly recommend this establishment to all. We also have a young baby of which the team and area we were in were child friendly.

My partner n I regularly go to the Alexandra and enjoy the atmosphere and food.

However last Friday we went to watch the football and decided to stay n have dinner,

The next morning the both of us woke up with severe stomach cramps, vomiting n unable to stay away from the toilet.

I decided to contact the pub, after having to take my partner to the medical centre due to how ill she had become.

I spoke to a manager called Paul and explaining that I feel we may have gotten food sickness/poisoning from our meals as we both ordered and ate the same food. In the conversation I had with Paul I never asked for a refund nor was I seeking any type of compensation/free vouchers.

I explain to Paul that I work In hospitality myself and thought it was the right thing to give them a call so they were aware.

Paul said he would look into it, and call me back.

I never received his call back, when I decided to call again I was told by another staff member that they would get him to call me, again this never happened.

Thanks for ruining our long week due to the food poisoning we got from eating at your venue.

We will be definitely reporting this to the NSW food and health authorities.

Loved the ambiance! So popular so we parked on Leura mall and walked through via the old school path. A great friendly team, nothing was too much trouble. Food came quickly despite the number of people on a Friday evening!
We saw the Spectacles gig which was great fun.
The architecture is beautiful inside and out!

Great old pub, enjoyed a few beers and decided to eat here.My wife ordered our meals Chicken Snitty for her, which she loved, came out in good time and was a large meal that she found very tasty.
About 45 minutes after she had finished my Pizza arrived.I had approached a staff member earlier and was told that a take away order had held up all the pizza orders, so you can imagine the pressure the pizza man was under. Sadly it show in the quality of my pizza, burnt edges and missing a key ingredient. I understand the bloke was under the pump, what i don't understand is the lack of communication from the 2 kitchens to make sure our meals came out together.

Really friendly staff and a beautiful room with a very comfortable bed and good quality bedding and furniture. I left my work phone in the room and called them. That day they had it in the post and I received it back in a padded bag two days later. It's pretty hard to find that level of service anywhere! Thanks for a great stay, I'll definitely be back!

If you are visiting area and looking for a nice restaurant and bar to have a nice meal with great charming service and reasonable price, it is highly recommended.
specially the wood fried Pizzas are top notch. If it is winter time and you feel cold order the soup of the day too!
