Wonderful hospitality starts at the front door. On our visit, receptionist Sharon was so friendly, with genuine natural warmth. My husband and I became members on the spot and enjoyed a fabulous late lunch. Yes, it has all-day dining. âœ"️ Overlooking Alexandra beach on the Sunshine Coast, this diamond location has an outside deck and upstairs dining area with a large bar / lounge area, each area has floor to ceiling windows, ensuing your view is spectacular.
We enjoyed spring rolls (4), Barra taco's (2), calamari and a chicken schnitzel. Portions were great to share. Off street parking facing the park and beach is easy, although in holiday season you may need a little more time. The club also has a courtesy bus. âœ"️

The worst meal I have ever had anywhere on the Sunshine Coast. "Corn beef" was like chewing on a piece of leather, come on, you can cook better than that. Suppose to be the roast of the day. Vegetables were almost cold.

I was here for a friends big birthday party in the private terrace room. The girls working the bar were fabulous and the food was sensational.
Overall it lost a star because of the Pokies. I loathe pokies - that's just me.
Otherwise highly recommended.

Had the Asian ocean trout today. Was the best dish I've had out a restaurant in a long time. Compliments to the.chef.

Dessert was a bit bland. Had the apple dome and the vanilla Chantilly. Looked impressive. Maybe at room temperature there would be more flavour.

Beautiful location, excellent food and service, clean facilities. Would like to see more cocktail varieties 😉

Gorgeous surf club. We were glad we sat inside as the kiosk downstairs was blaring orders over a microphone. It was cool and inviting. Fabulous views. I'd drive the 2:hours just to revisit the lemon meringue pie.

This place has really taken a dive unfortunately. It literally smells now - like sweat and dirty, loitering teenagers.
The upstairs part has been done up with the big screen which is great but then you have a heap of smelly teenagers just standing around wondering why they exist or 10 of them in the pokie room watching one person do 5c spins... it's just yuck and trashy. It's only safe attending in the afternoon, before dark!

First time I've been here in a few years. It's still a pretty good feed with a great view. Staff are friendly, our meals came out hot and quickly.

Prices were pretty standard for a club like this. You can get a decent meal and drink for around $40.

Fantastic food, great beverages, with helpful and friendly staff makes this club that much better. Surf clubs are Queenslanders' right of passage, and Alex Surf club doesn't disappoint. It is situated right on the beach, with the views to die for, and also boasts a bar and Cafe on the board walk too.

Dined here every night over our 3 day stay at Alexandra Heads. Kid friendly menu and a games room. Activity pack given with a kids meal.

Recommend signing up as a member for $2 and booking a table early via the OpenTable app/website as this place is popular.

Such a great experience. Family of 5 looking for dinner on a Sunday night..: didn't have a booking and it was not a problem!!! It was busy and the service was excellent :) food was served super quick and the kitchen and staff were like a well oiled machine... even had a zero beer option which was nice!!! Kids enjoyed it and we would go back if our holiday was longer...

Lovely atmosphere with tables and seating nestled amongst trees with great views of the beautiful beach. Coffee was average - use Grinders coffee which may be reason . Everything else was fantastic.

Dropped by for a quick casual lunch on a Saturday while on holiday. Staff were friendly and helpful. Dory chips and salad was delicious! Lovely views as well. Pleasant place!

The Bluff on a Friday or Sunday is Rockin. Great live bands. Beer is cold and the food hot. The dance floor fair game. Love it. Live it. Do it. Great atmosphere ??'? cheers Petra Deen xo

Went there for a networking event, and whilst we were waiting I tried the cafe on the beach side. The coffee was awesome and the staff very friendly and accommodating. The hotdogs were amazing as well.
The club is very quaint and clean and crisp with great views. The function food was off a high standard.
The actual function room was very roomy and bright with great natural lighting and beautiful view of the park and trees.

Loved it! With a young toddler = need somewhere where it is easy to get and out of, family friend and early dinner hours. We reserved online and had a nice spot near the window looking out to the water, we only had 1.5hrs before our table was needed again but that was fine with us. Line up and order - no QR codes here. We had the seafood platter for 2 - and it was such a nice treat, toddler had a pizza and chips. Lovely lady who served me offered her free drink to my daughter (juice - not grog) so nice.
Great place to unwind and catch up with the bar downstairs, easy access to the beach and the bistro for some aircond and sit down meals. Highly recommend :)

We visited on a rainy Saturday morning and there were plenty of free tables outside that were covered from the rain.

The breakfast burger was delicious, lots of good quality thick bacon and very well presented. A bargain too, we paid $15 for the burger and a coffee. (22/10/2022).

Can't wait to go back when it's sunny. 10/10

You know the food and coffee is good when there is a good queue. Great friendly team. Best of all they have a microphone to call when your coffee is ready, so you can wait watching waves!

Convenient to where we stayed. Quality and pricing relevant to the atmosphere. Noisy eating areas due to volume of people it was a Friday night after 24 degrees in end of winter. I had the special attached. Mash very dry but steak cooked to my liking and a few beans. Gets a tick from me

Had the pleasure of visiting the Alex Surf Club which is located at 167 Alexandra Parade, Alexandra Headland.

After enjoying a pleasant drive from Brisbane my wife & I decided to take the opportunity to stop over for a lunchtime break & enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean on such a spectacular Winter's day on the Sunshine Coast.

Alex Surf Club has multiple dining options to cater for everyones needs.
You can choose from having breakfast at the Beachside Kiosk which is located on the ground level of the club.
This Kiosk is open 7 days a week from 6.30 am till 2.00 pm.

If you wish to have lunch or dinner you can go up to first floor to the restaurant area which overlooks the fantastic Alex Beach. All dietary requirements are catered for everyone's needs.

This area of the club also operates 7 days a week & provides lunch & dinner specials.

The Alex Surf Club has an excellent area located on the first level where you can relax & enjoy a beverage of your choice at the clubs well appointed bar.

An excellent range of craft beers is available on tap,as well as other beers & a wonderful range of wines.

There is an excellent gaming area with a wide range of poker machines available.

Overall from the time we entered the Alex Surf Club we were made to feel welcomed, the staff at the main entrance were excellent ??'? & I also found the staff where we had lunch were courteous & ensured that our meals came from the kitchen in a timely manner.

More than impressed to recommend anyone travelling along the Sunshine Coast call into the Alex Surf Club to enjoy all the facilities that are available 😀

Food was average but well priced. Beers were cheap although no tap beer when we were there. We didn't have a booking but managed to get a table. Lots of tables booked for 5pm but at 6pm the tables were still empty. They maybe need to look at how they reserve tables. Wait staff always on the move clearing and cleaning tables.

Mitch W is a pleasant bar tender. He made my experience at Alex surf club that much more enjoyable. You are very lucky have him on your team. Good on you guys

Fairly average for a surf club. Service was amazingly quick, meals average (but cheap) but ambiance pretty poor when sitting at a picnic table for dinner. I give it a pass purely for the price vs quality equation and quick service.

Something about this place puts it on top of the list for Surf Clubs on this end of the Sunshine Coast in my opinion. Great food, plenty of space and right on the beach. Very comfortable.

Very popular. Roast chicken was excellent and had lovely flavour. Best chicken I have had in a long time. Very generous serving. Others at the table were pleased with their meals also. Best to book!

Good food and service. Excellent views on beach and surf including lifesaver training. We always enjoy the roast as good as any home cooked.

Service was a little slow as there was only one person serving from The Bluff bar (this was around 11:40am on a Saturday long weekend)

The food from the bistro was delicious, but we were disappointed that it was served in paper bowls and plates even though we were sitting inside with drinks in glasses.

The decor and ambience was beautiful- lots of white relaxing chairs. It would have been lovely if the windows were open as it was such a lovely day, and also if the window tables weren't sticky. And whilst we would have loved to sit outside, there was no option as the area was too narrow to fit a pram.

We will definitely be back again to try out the menu at the Bluff bar 😊

Friday Session, after work drinks to start off your wkd to end the wk you have had. Families are welcomed food, wine, cocktails, beers, music DJ or Live. You got to come & check it out & chill,,, take in the environment & enjoy yourself with family & friends, you won't regret it @ all & the Kids would love the Skate Park or Beach up the front. Prices are great affordable + why not become a member simply to do...

Staff were amazing getting food put to large volume of people. I had Salmon, beautiful. All happy with meals. Drink staff great too

We went for food but the quality was poor at best. The veg was over cooked and the meat was a funny texture. One of the desserts was stale and the other was mostly pastry. All up a poor offering but good beer and great location.

Great location & ambience. Unfortunately could not say the same for the food/value. Paid $70 for garlic bread, one kids meal & 2 salads which did not meet expectations for that amount of money. Garlic bread not cooked properly so butter not melted on top. Thai beef salad was majority noodles, literally counted 2 cherry tomatoes & minimal herbs/greens.

Food was a 6 out of 10 at best for all meals. The worst garlic bread I've ever had. Microwaved bread with butter. How can you stuff up garlic bread? Thai beef salad needs to be renamed noodle salad. Prawn and avacado salad should be renamed lettuce and oranges. Great view. Restaurant host was friendly. That's it

Excellent venue for music. Good food and drinks. Good audience who love rock music and dancing.A fun crowd. I enjoy mixing with people who go there.

Modern clean lines upstairs to go with the generous portioned meals. Service was excellent with staff quickly in attendance to clean up the table. Drinks cheap. Meals moderately priced but great portions. Downstairs bar and outside area is very relaxing beach vibe. Plenty of tables and seats. Right on the beach at this bar is the place to be!
