Glad they had a vegetarian option but it was a bit expensive

What i love about this place, it serves simple German food.

The German Club has been our family go to for many occasions for many years, I'm talking 30+ years!

Food is freshly cooked to order, schnitzel, sauerkraut, potatoes, dumplings (not the Asian ones), pork knuckle which is massive!

Just go, you will love it!

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. The food is traditional German food, good sized portions, but used to be a lot better when it wasn't over loaded with salt. I don't mean the salted brine that things like the Kassler are cured in, but all the foods were so salty, it was impossible to eat once the initial hunger was satiated. Took over 1/2 of the meals home and left them in the fridge without spoiling for days. Preservative levels of salt in the fried potatoes and dumplings. Certainly encourages drinking....???"

Such a lovely place with great food, big sizes and is affordable. Staff are always helpful and friendly I would recommend the pork knuckle followed by a shot of schnapps. But there's a lot of nice menu items for you to work through.

Beer was great. Pork knuckle was amazing. German music added to the atmosphere. Will definitely be going again. We just need some Bundesliga nights there.

Great atmosphere, good environment, friendly staff, food is absolutely wonderful! Massive sizes, freshly cooked, great area at the bar for a drink of selected varieties, good traditional German interior design with a very colourful decorations, I give this place a 5 out of 5, if I could give it another star (6*) I would, so if you're looking for a nice relaxing atmosphere around the Wollongong/Dapto/kembla grange area then I highly recommend comming and making a booking, it seats up to 12 per table or for private functions of 50+

Terrible. 5 of us visited, 4 ordered schnitzels and 1 ordered a sausage. The sausage was lovely but the schnitzels were all tasteless and the chips were the worst I've ever had. Potato bruises on most, dry and cold. Yuck!

Quiet Saturday lunch small club
oom-pah- pah music laying adds to the atmosphere and the food was terrific. Pork Knuckle was the specialty but must be pre ordered. I enjoyed Kussler with baked diced potatoes and dumplings.
Shared my visit with several friends on a day trip from Sydney.

This was my first visit and I can't wait to go again. The fried Camembert was absolutely perfect and for the main I ate three different types of schnitzel with fried potatoes and two different types of sauerkraut. It was all so delicious especially the sauerkraut and the chicken schnitzel. I have eaten many a chicken schnitzel in my time and it was the nicest I have ever eaten. Although the club decor is simple and location a little bit out of the way it is definitely worth the effort. Rating only 3 due to location and decor. 5 out of 5 for the food.

Had Fathers Days lunch here this year, great atmosphere and very good value. All ways good, been a visitor here since 1978 and still return.

Well done decor and ambient music gives off very German atmosphere and feel to the place. Schnitzels and the ham were amazing, and served in reasonably sized portions. Plenty of parking nearby. Great service from happy staff

Couldn't fault the Parmigiana, it was very nice. Friendly and helpful service too. And the dark beer is not too bad either.

JA!!!! Nice place for some authentic German food. Good selection of beer as well, including Weizen (wheat beer). Round it off with a shot of Jägermeister after. A tad more pricey than your other standard options but worth it. Volunteer staff is super nice!

Run by volunteers, service was fast, clean and very prompt. Everyone was friendly from the time we arrived to when we left. Beer was fantastic and the pork knuckle was spot on. We will be back

We had our daughters birthday there and the experience was exceptional. Food was amazing with large serves and to our tables quickly. Our party of 13 all remarked what a great choice it was to have it there. Highly recommended

Beautiful food and friendly staff. The only negatives are the waiting at the bar and the drinks are a bit pricey.
But its always an enjoyable evening as there is usually music and dancing as well.
