There's not a single thing we could fault with Drummoyne Sailing Club, from start to finish of hosting our engagement party function, we have felt the sincere care and consideration of the club and most importantly Angela. The function space was beautiful, and nothing was too much of an ask in terms of making it into the perfect layout for us. The flexibility that we were offered in terms of food and drinks catering was fantastic, we were able to customise it how we wanted while being kept affordable. The staff on the night were attentive and took initiative to help with whatever was needed. Angela and Matt were incredible to work with, and were only ever a phone call away. We would not hesitate to host another event here and could not recommend it highly enough to anyone who is considering hosting a function such as an engagement in this venue. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Sheena and Kieran

The Drummoyne Sailing Club was the perfect venue to host my daughters 21st Birthday event. It was held in the downstairs function room which has its own bar and enjoys fabulous views out to the twinkly lights of Sydney Harbour at night. This function area opens up through big, bi-fold doors to a great terrace area, where you can sit on lounges and relax. There was also a good array of cocktail tables and stools, as well as some tables to sit and eat from. The perfect combination for an event where there was a large range of ages attending.

From the pre -planning of this event to the actual night, no detail was too hard and the staff were so friendly and helpful, making the night easy and stress free. Guidance was offered when needed, such as choosing food and wine selections, how much to have and when to serve the food and this was gladly appreciated.

Thank you Drummoyne Sailing Club, I am so glad you hosted this event for us. We will definitely have another event there and will happily recommend it to others looking for a venue.

Casual dining with views
A lovely experience looking out at the water and sail boats whist eating good food.
Menu has good variety and we can recommend the barramundi very tasty. There is a well stocked bar with plenty of choices of wine or bubbles by the glass. Service is excellent.
As for views the club has two floors to choice from both with excellent views. Watch the day turn to night and see the lights in the distance sparkle.
The ground floor a good place if you have young children as a bit more running around space. If you're solo plenty of options and big groups well catered for. Couples this is a good place to grab lunch not a date place ( a busy club atmosphere) but dinner good too. We had dinner here and really enjoyed it.
Plenty of bathrooms.
Plenty of parking. If you have any difficulty walking park at the top car park just as you drive if you want to go to the main club restaurant and sign in. If you park at the bottom car park you will have steep steps to go up to the top restaurant and to sign in. There is a restaurant at bottom level.
Drive here or Uber or taxi.

This is the perfect waterfront venue for a special function. We held my daughter's engagement party in the downstairs function room last Saturday and it was absolutely beautiful. Angela, the function manager, ensured we were looked after throughout, from the pre planning to being there on the whole night to address any issues. And the only issue was that we didn't order enough food but she noticed it and quickly organised extras on the spot. The aesthetic is gorgeous with the water and sailboats as a backdrop and crisp clean interiors creating a very elegant room. We took advantage of the outdoor area as well with some comfy lounges, cocktail tables and fairy lights the indoor to outdoor merges beautifully. Service was so personal and felt like the staff also enjoyed being part of our function. So many of our guests commented on how much they loved the venue.
Overall I have no complaints and would not hesitate to recommend Drummoyne Sailing Club to anyone

We went there for a "significant" important birthday for lunch on Friday, a family of four.
The staff were not very helpful or welcoming as we were trying to accommodate for a wheelchair even though we had booked the table.
Once the food came out, it was even more disappointing. Out of the seven meals we ordered (including entrees) only the barramundi and steak were good, the rest could have been purchased from the corner store fish and chips shop.
If you love chips, I recommend the 'Seafood' Platter for 2, as there was minimal seafood but lots of chips and sauces to accompany what I do not know. Definitely not worth $150 for mostly potato.
The wait time for the meals was reasonable, drinks a little pricey. I think you are paying for the view even though on a hot summers day you can not enjoy it from inside.
Poor meals for an important occasion.
Would not recommend the Drummoyne Sailing Club.

I am a member of the club and have been coming for lunch on the balcony for several years. My favourite local waterside venue. The water views from the balcony are the best and the food is always delicious with an extensive menu. I bring many of my family and friends here. Recently i hosted a work function downstairs and it was a huge success.

I am from out of the area and I often find myself catching up with my mates down at the sailing club when I'm in Drummoyne. I find the staff to be exceptional and the ladies behind the bar are always up for a laugh and add great value as they pour a refreshing ice cold beer. After a big week the sailing club never fails to offer a euphoric serenity as you kick back with your mates for a feed and the footy.

Apart from the view the whole place was disappointing. No parking, really expensive drink prices and very ordinary food quality. The hamburgers could crack floor tiles.

Good views out to the harbour. Good food but I thought $13.00 was a bit pricey for 2 'soft' drinks.
Plenty of parking. Pleasant and efficient staff.

A good friend recommended this place to have a Lunch. I came with my family who are here for Holidays. And they didn't allow us to go in just because I don't live in the area ( o live in five dock) they asked to pay $30 to go in I found it a bit racist. Thanks any way !

I made a booking months ago. A 90 year old & 2-70year olds. Sat on the table near the pickup food counter. Extremely busy but entre came after main meal 1hour late. Duck rolls - absolutely NO duck in 3 spring rolls. No coffee closed too late. 30 minutes later 10 people got hot drinks & cake. Very sad as an hour drive each way. Shouldn't have bothered. Great view.

The food is lovely , slow..... but lovely. However, what I found to be completely and utterly ridiculous was the chef refusing to make a mixed dozen oysters. 4 fresh, 4 Kilpatrick and 4 mornay when all of those options are on the menu........there where 5 people in the kitchen and I understand they each have roles, but chef was adamant you could only have 6 of each and not a mixed dozen of 4 of each @ $49 per dozen....."chef" needs to get it together and give the client what they ask and pay for. Other tan that the rest of the evening was great

We really love coming to the sailing club. There's always a great vibe, the drinks are cheap & plenty of options available, amazing food options (especially seafood), but most of all a stunning view of the harbour to enjoy from the large balcony!
There's fun happening most nights, whether it be a meat/seafood raffle, trivia or live sports.
Can easily spend hours here! (& Regularly do)

Great location. Quick food service. Atmosphere was not as good as it might normally be considering we showed up on quiz night, weren't interested in the quiz, and couldn't really escape it but it did look like lots of people were enjoying it.

Good location. Food good, nothing special. Reasonbly priced. Small club, small car park.Staff Kerr & Husband are lovely and always courteous and engaging. Bistro staff not that friendly or hospitable.

If you're here for a drink and after a relaxing view, then I would recommend this place.

If you're after food from the 'Sailors grill', then expect:

*Long wait time to order
*Bland food
*Moderate pricing on food

I honestly wasn't a fan of the food, for a table of 20, there were dishes chosen from the menu. Prices I guess are induced from the view and not the taste. The worst was the schnitzel, haven't had anything this poor in a long while.

However, the staff are quite nice.

There is a small smoking area in the gaming are and private functions and whatever you do at a sailing club.

For covid restrictions, they certainly facilitate a LOT of patrons...

Great location but quality of food is unbelievably bad. Super expensive and then to have to eat poor quality food - even for club food - is really disappointing. My daughter said one pays for the view but I disagree. The view is not worth it whatsoever. Unfortunately, the wine selection is nothing to write home about and you have to pay through the nose for something remotely decent.

The atmosphere and staff were very pleasant, very friendly and inviting. The location is also great, being a sailing club we were able to sit back and see all the members' boats on full display.

Great setup, however, the kitchen let's it down as the food was quite disappointing.

The Lamb dish we ordered was 30 dollars and 3 tiny medallions came out...about one bite worth of meat each. Kind of disappointing, while that may be our fault for ordering from the grill at a seafood place, the also barramundi was soggy and accompanying salads disappointing.

Nice location with beautiful views and staff! A little pricey with the quality of food, I guess you paid for the view too?

make sure you ask for a table away from big crowds if you'd like to have a peaceful time , they are popular with big groups having lunch / parties here!
