Been coming here for quite a while and it's been about 2 months between visits and something has changed in the kitchen. I always order a chicken Parma and tonight's was low quality in every way. The Parma itself was different to previous (cheaper quality and overcooked) the sauce, ham and cheese were all cheap quality as well.

The accompanying salad also suddenly went budget from a more gourmet salad mix with tasty dressing to iceberg lettuce and the equivalent of a whole tomato and flavourless dressing.

It is disappointing as it is a reasonable local to come.

What is also disappointing is the removal of a kids face painter with activities on a Monday. When there are competing venues in Yarraville that have kids eat free nights with well equipped free play areas and free entertainment the bowls club risks losing even more patronage with the drop in quality of food.

Terrible bar staff here, I saw a woman behind the bar shouting at anyone who stood in front of the bar too long. Apparently despite it being quiet She couldn't determine who wanted service if people stood too close to the bar. Very overzealous and I would never recommend anyone frequent this poorly ran establishment.

We were served by Callum, he is absolutely brilliant and couldn't ask for better service! Always had a smile on his face and delivered excellent service to us! Couldn't recommend him and the bowls club more!

A mic check is usually performed before the artist starts their set to ensure that the audio equipment is functioning correctly. In this case, the singer did perform a mic check before starting unless the song was check 123, which is a standard procedure. The confusion might have arisen from the fact that you vvv misunderstood the purpose of the mic check and thought the singer was already performing. You paid nothing for the singer it was Free. I was right next to the dance floor I loved it, so did the others on my table.

AVOID UNLESS LAST RESORT. Shocked at the high ratings, must have been a much better joint several years ago. WORST food/dining experience I've had in years. AVOID unless you're an old man in his 70s too senile to care.

Food: Pork roast was COLD and tasted like it was days old and came out of the fridge. Peppercorn gravy sauce had so much white pepper in it, it was inedible (and I love pepper!). Chicken parma were ok, lamb in lamb salad overcooked and dry, not fresh. Prices they are charging for this slop is criminal.

Ambiance: cheap motel conference room (for the bistro, at least). Budget. Elvis Presley impersonator couldn't get through a full song and kept doing mic checks.

Bathroom was clean (although freezing) and the nicest part of the whole place. Has some armchairs and is quiet.
