Was getting late, so we stopped for dinner at this gem of a place on our way to Amamoor from the Gold Coast.
Pub is a good old school country pub with friendly staff and classic pub meals that taste great.
To top it off there was a live band playing great Aussie rock music!
Great atmosphere! Sad it's so far away from us! Pubs on the Goldy have lost this!

This is a great old pub. It has been renovated but still has it's original charm. This is a great pub to watch live music or your favorite sports team, it's a great place to bring the family for a feed or just sit down at bar for chat with the locals. I highly recommend this pub as a must see for anyone looking to enjoy the true vibe of the sunshine coast and it's hidden attractions.

Lovely, friendly staff. Atmosphere great. We've been there 3 times in the last week for lunch and dinner and every time the food was tasty with good-sized portions. Am very happy to recommend.

We included lunch during our visit to Yandina as part of The Art Trails studio visits that we made in the area. My friend had the fish Tacos which she enjoyed and I had the Chicken Burger which was also great with loads of crunchy chips. It was very busy for Saturday lunch with lots of people enjoying themselves.

This review is only for dinner.
The staff were friendly and welcoming. The dining room really nice. And the set up perfect for smaller functions. The food was OK . The salad garnish was fresh with a tangy dressing and the chips were nice too. The other flavours were very average. Nice enough but.....
That said, would go back and try other things.
The bar had live music warming up as we left which sounded like a great night was on the cards.

Great place for some reason with the bar with over 30 people in it . They always shut the bar early and kick everyone out

Not only is the owner loosing $$$ there is no public transport once you have been quickly ushered outside

Worst Southern fried chicken Very disappointing. Soggy salad made the bun gluggy. Southern fried? No spice at all. Just plain fish and chip batter.Had very good food here before. Maybe need a new cook.

We stayed 2 nights at the Yandina Hotel. It was a really lovely experience. We had a family room which was actually 2 rooms and access to the balcony.
The room was very clean and well presented. The shower was hot and strong. The bed was comfortable.
For an old pub, it was pretty good. Great ambience.
We were there on a Friday night when the live band was playing. Yes, the music was loud in our room but again, it was good music so I actually enjoyed it. I wanted to go to sleep before the band finished so I just put in a pair of ear plugs and I was good as gold. They didn't play late in any case.

Just some feedback from the stay: the French doors leading to the veranda from the room didn't lock and that's extremely unsafe and should be fixed. Not worth full price with that consideration

Good atmosphere good staff. Menu is a nightmare GF meals listed but not GF. Had to settle for GF pizza. Toppings were great but base was like cardboard. The two other people with us enjoyed their meals but three unhappy people. Won't be returning.

Great hotel, prime location for visitors to emundi markets or ginger factory. Nice to listen to the band on a Friday night. Big meals, specials are value. Accommodation is clean but overpriced. Few things a minus, but overall ok stay. No carpark as advertised booking com. Street parking only.

I love the venue, atmosphere with the locals is great. Nice, family friendly eating area.. Customer service could improve.

Most friendly staff so happy to have our little Bichon in the garden area. The food was unbelievable never seen and tasted a better seafood marinara more seafood than pasta lots of Morton bay bugs and the charred v chicken with bacon advocado and hollandise was to die for best value for money great environment Great pub

Great lunchtime meals. Ordered pork chops on special, received 2 lovely pork chops with mash & veg. With a cold beer, couldn't ask for anything more!! 🙂

Room was tiny with bed against the wall as a single bed also included. Couldn't lock or close the French door onto the communal balcony which was in use by staff. However communal bathroom and toilet facilities were clean and pleasant. No cosy lounge for bar or dining, instead they were open to elements where smokers could be detected. Small spaces for the size of this historic hotel which lacked a welcoming reception from street entrance.

If you're chasing value for money, this is the Hotel to visit. The meals are amazing and worth every penny and definitely hats off to the Chefs who run this establishment! Even the specials board is very enticing.

We arrived as a group of 40 unannounced and received a great reception and amazing service. Sam and the crew did a fantastic job of looking after everyone making sure our Sunday afternoon was just perfect! Thank you for making sooooo many espresso martinis!

Hey guys, last thing I want to do is write this as it's my local pub I live in town. But the bar staff (not all) but the female possibly manager? Needs a serious attitude check she is incredibly rude to the point my family and friends feel uncomfortable ordering a drink. Thanks guys hopefully this can be addressed so I can enjoy the local again. Thankyou and I still love the place 😁

where's my sauce???
went here for dinner, food was alright. staff though....? nah, not really. my family's food got served by this girl who honestly looked like she was in her mid 20s, disgusting attitude though, which makes me think she's actually a 12 year old posing as a 20-something year old

anyways, back to my sauce story. this chick bought our food out and one of our members asked for some tomato sauce. she stomped back to our table, tossed two tiny squeezey sauce packets onto the table and left. not only was the two packets not enough to put on the meal, but they looked watery and mouldy...

after seeing this, my mother went back up to the bar counter and kindly asked for sauce in a little tub, not the packets (as they were mouldy)
this same lady just happened to be the one to serve my poor mother and rudely responded with "i just brought you sauce. you don't need more"
my mother told her about the packets she gave us and the chick said that it would cost us money. of course that doesn't matter to us at this point in time, because we just want the sauce.
at this point, my mother (absolutely disgusted and appalled at this lady's customer service) just left after feeling humiliated by this horrid server
my mother came back to the table told everyone else what happened and also mentioned that the bar smelt like rotten fruits???
we finished our meals in silence, still no mention or sight of the sauce, but each of us counting the amount of death stares we received from this "server" each time she passed by us. i personally counted 11

definitely not the best customer service and because of this, we won't be coming back.

Stopped by mid afternoon so didn't have food, just an ice cold vodka cruiser on very hot day. Bar staff were friendly, pub was clean and tidy. Sat outside while we had the drink. Locals are very friendly.

Had a great birthday lunch. Good food for reasonable price. Lovely staff, nothing to fault.

Excellent service, air con bar, willy Wonker pinny (sooo good) and Larry's on tap and nice &cold, what more could you ask for.......oh, I know. A urinal that doesn't stink like it's not been flushed ever, female management oversight possibly? Lost a ⭐ for that

We were nearby at the Ginger Factory and stopped in for lunch as it was close. The service and food was very good. If you are in the area and in need of a feed i would suggest stopping by.

Met both chefs tonight when the wanted to shut the kitchen at 7pm.
Said to the very helpful manager our concern to order after 7pm and all good .
Great food great flavour.
Well done to the team for feeding our table of 10 and the food so well delivered.

Very delicious, good looking and even healthy food. Also a lot of vegetarian and vegan options which is really rare to find in australia! Would definitely stop here again for dinner😋

It's a small town pub with friendly atmosphere and staff. Unfortunately, the day I lunched here, I arrived late in the service and there were a couple of largish groups in, so the menu items I was hoping for were already sold out. What i chose was tasty and satisfying. I was advised of a 40min wait time and my meal was delivered to the table bang on time.

Dropped in for a Saturday lunch with friends. I ordered the lamb loin chops, delicious. They were perfectly cooked, served with chips and salad. The service was excellent and quick. Do yourself a favour and have lunch at the iconic place.

Had lovely lunch here today, although my fish was not completely cooked. All other meals were lovely. Servings were large and the price was good. My daughter did comment that the toilets were clean, but smelt terrible.

Lovely staff. And great food. The Vet show on the TV was a bit of a concern. Animals being operated on while your eating dinner is perhaps not the best viewing.

Picked the Yandina Hotel for an overnight stay as it is the closest accommodation to the sensational restaurant The Spirit House. We arrived early and the room wasn't ready but the Manager (Simon) arranged for the room to be finished asap. Simon was aware we were heading out for lunch and offered to drive us there so that we didn't have to leave our car overnight at the restaurant (after indulging in drinks). What a lovely gesture!!!!! We had a few drinks at the hotel and the staff were very friendly and up for a chat. No complaints at all with our room ... super clean, comfy bed and well appointed. Biggest pub bathroom I've seen! Thanks Yandina Hotel ... we'll be back!

I was told this was a place that served good meals, had to experience it. There was plenty to choice from on the menu, very reasonably priced. And when it was served, great portions with excellent tasting. Certainly will call again, if you are in Yandina give them a try you won't be disappointed..

Absolutely the best local meals...great staff and surroundings, no joke, I've lived in Yandina for 21 years and don't go anywhere else.. night or day for a great meal, as good if not better than any restaurant.

Nice location however the bed was broken. We didn't want to cause a fuss as Chris Walker and his entourage were resting there also from their Cairns to Coast walk for charity. Great job guys!

Ambiance in restaurant lovely, service great. Pumpkin soup served cold to table. Had to send back to kitchen to re-heat. Hard to get soup wrong! When that's all I ordered.

Enjoyed our pub lunch here. Service was friendly and efficient and the burgers were tasty. Choice of indoor and open seats and very clean and tidy. Would recommend and would go again.

An old pub outside but a very comfortable venue inside, we had been to the Saturday markets which were hot so a cold drink in an air conditioned lounge was great, & yes the beer was cold. We also had lunch and the menu offered a wide choice, we chose seafood, it was a good size meal, well presented and tasty.
The one strange thing is they charged a fee to use your credit card, saying it offsets bank charges. Strange.

Best steak on the Sunshine Coast!We have legitimately tried everywhere and no place tops the Yandina Hotel for a really really good steak. 100% would recommend

Been going past four 5 years, always saying we must stop in for lunch. Glad we finally did. Food good, good portions and good prices. Staff nice, manager very friendly and welcoming.

We went to the Yandina Hotel for dinner recently. Our party of 4 booked to sit in the "Garden Bar". This is a misnomer... big time. It is actually a "courtyard" at best. Really just a covered over concreted area between two parts of the hotel. Not at all pleasant. No air movement and NO GARDEN!You have to order your meal at the bar. Hmmm.HOWEVER, the food, while basic pub fair is really good and reasonably priced.

Stopped in here for a quick lunch after a lot my drive. Ordered a Rump steak and chips. Price was pretty standard for pub/hotel lunch. No complaints at all, it was cooked really well and tasted great, as a lover of hot chips I can say these were really good The staff were very friendly and helpful. If I am ever back in the area I will go there again for sure.
