The pub may have some history but the pelicans dinning area is dated and the menu bland. If you want a hood pub meal ho across the road. Go to the Bayview, but you may not get in as it always seems to be packed.

Saw the band Blackwall Rising, which worked so well at the venue. They played hard rock, well known favourites and some originals. Packed crowd felt at home.

Haven't been in there for many years, had an awesome night, had a go at the meat raffle and won for the first time, played some pool , had a blast , the staff were awesome too. Great night , the atmosphere was great and they had a band playing with karaoke singing .

I have always enjoyed eating at Pelicans. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. It gets busy, to make sure you get a table either book or get in just before 12 noon.

Questionable moral ethics of management which has come under attack on social media. Venues need to remain independent and impartial instead of taking political sides.

Great quality Guinness. Unexpected but very good indeed.

Full disclaimer; we didn't eat or drink here, we were hoping to, but decided to leave and try our luck elsewhere. Management are really missing a trick here, they have a huge carpark but the smallest beer garden with nowhere near enough tables for outside dining on weekends. If you want to eat food outside on a there's literally only about 4 tables where its allowed. The rest is smoking area with signs banning food service which was really disappointing. The inside restaurant area was too depressing and tired for us to want to stay.

Ordered a take away salt and pepper squid, paid $15 + $3 for takeaway and barely even got a meal.
While the chips were nice, the salt and pepper squid was undercooked.

Good food and drinks but very basic ambiance. Can't wait to see what the new owners will do with this gracious old building in such a prime site.

it is my first time coming to this place. love the serving size of the meal. love that the staff gave me the condiments that I want - mustard, ketchup and hot sauce.

the only issue that day is that the eftpos machine didn't work. had to queue up to the nearest atm to withdraw cash otherwise, it was a good dinner.

Arrived at the pub for lunch absolutely delicious. The people there very helpful. Even to helping hold door into toilet open so I could get my mum in and out of there in her wheel chair. Will definately return. Very friendly staff and locals. Thanks so much

Hub and I shared the seafood platter for two at Pelican's restaurant and couldn't believe how big it was! Great value! We thought the chips would have been better if they'd been cooked longer but everything else was very fresh and tasty.

Delicious! Best fish and chips I have ever tried. Not expensive at all and of course many different options in the menu. Very cozy place and good location. Very close to the water.

Nice local pub, has a small sports bar and decent menu in the outside area. Upstairs has a cocktail bar with a small menu also.

Picked up a carton from the drive through on a 30 degree day today. Got back and it was warm. Not great for the people waiting for a hard earned beer. When I called the manager at the pub she told me they could swap it but not once did an apology get offered, nor was she willing to offer anything by way of compensation, even when I suggested a 6 pack might entice me back. Quite rude in fact, talking over an obviously annoyed customer.Ill be taking my $800 a month somewhere else from now on.Jam it.

Judgemental and rude lady behind the bar, making fun of people's appearances and judging their intelligence through their accent. Very impolite, she literally shouted at us and some of the patrons were agreeing with a laugh as well. Making fun of my height was a masterstroke. Kudos!

Great pub in a great location. Had a hamburger for lunch. Was very very good. And probably the cheapest pub burger ever. Well worth the day trip.
