I live locally regularly enjoyed coming to this pub, however, their recent lack of communication has left me not wanting to return.

I booked a table for some drinks on Christmas Day (bookings were fully open and confirmed via two automated emails). I turned up on Christmas Day to realise the pub wasn't open. I totally understand pubs not being open on Christmas Day, however, it was the fact I had booked and had numerous confirmation emails (albeit automated). Was no one checking the system ahead of time? All my details were on the bookings, so I would've appreciated a call or an email to let me know they were going to be shut as this impacted Christmas Day for my friends and I.

I have since tried to email them about this numerous times, left DMs and commented on their Instagram posts to no response:

Pretty disappointed as I really enjoyed coming to this pub - good food and a good vibe, just a shame they haven't responded to a regular customer. It doesn't really align with the local image they push. ??

An excellent place for a chill Sunday afternoon!

A fun, relaxed afternoon with solid pub classics on the menu.

There is a jazz trio every Sunday and they were fantastic!

Excellent venue for an XMAS party. We had 20 and booked the Library section which the staff kindly blocked off. Staff excellent, drink and food prices good. 5 stars for excellent chips! Thoroughly recommend.

Started going here a year ago and steak specials were amazing but at some point this year they are consistently cooked incorrectly. Our group of friends often order it blue or rare to make sure we get it medium rare otherwise it is well done.

I made the mistake of ordering it medium rare a few weeks ago and it was tough and chewy.

Good range of beers both mainstream and craft. Staff are lovely.
Dog friendly location makes this a bonus

The customer service was outstanding, and the product was exactly what I was looking for.
I was so pleased with the service that I received from Kat ... she went above and beyond to help me find the perfect item.
Since I also have food restrictions in my diet,
I was very impressed with the quality of the customer service that I received .

This is a nice place to relax. We went there to kill time while waiting for a flight at Sydney airport.
The atmosphere and service was just awesome. The food prices ranged from $23 onwards and the pizza was over priced. We ordered chicken schnitzels and it was one of the best I've had in a pub! And fries were done perfectly! Thank you I would visit again

Chips were cooked perfectly also. Good drink selection, but my hat goes off to the mix master on the cocktail shaker... the coconut margarita was Devine! And the others had a pretty mega looking Bloody Mary. Can't wait to venture over to Redfern again & hang at the Wookpack!

Best pub in Sydney- very close to home. Kinda don't want to give the secret away, but it's like our second living room. Staff are amazing and take the time to get to know the locals, and weekly specials always provide a good break from cooking

This review is based on most recent experience and it pains me because I actually love the Woolpack.

Venue is nice with a great little quiet nook and dining area, they also had live music when I was there last.

They get 3 stars as they completely missed half our food order and just didn't make it until it was raised with them. The place was also quiet and it was a Rabbitohs game night. It should have been really busy like the other pubs in the area and it lends to believe they must be slipping somewhere.

I came here the other day for a quick evening drink, and I must say, that Mia?? was SO helpful and kind! She made me feel completely welcome as I am new to the area, and she always made sure that I was looked after. Would definitely come again with my pup. Thanks Wool Pack! xx

Food is ordinary considering what you pay for the meal. The picture for the dish I ordered from the online order menu is from previous people who ran bistro. when I mentioned to the wait staff the food I ordered looks nothing like the pictures they said it was from previous owners when I suggested they change the pictures I was met with a shrug of shoulders so they obviously don't care about customer feedback. A real shame because the food used to be very good here until it changed recently. Food wasn't terrible but definitely not worth the money and would not recommend .

Visited the historic Woolpack Hotel in Redfern for a Saturday afternoon XPA. You now that you have found a friendly local pub when you walk in and the locals have their dogs sitting at their feet. I love that. It has a great feel and is well worth the visit.

Very friendly local pub, with a good rotating selection of beers, and some outdoor seating. The whole pub is dog friendly which is great, and there are a few regulars who come in.
I thought the prosciutto and burrata pizza was pretty good, though it would have been even better if we'd got it on a Monday when prices are lower!

Good food.

The trivia can make it difficult to chat with friends as the host talks loudly during the breaks.

Also had a weird thing at the bar where an older guy tried to pay for my drinks and the bar tender just let him without checking with me first. I didn't want to deal with that social obligation, old men are rarely actually just friendly, so a bit of bar staff training required there.

Lovely staff, PERFECT portions of food! And the soap in the bathroom smelled very nice.

Great welcome pub with nice spacious outdoor seating. Yes, it's on the main road but the traffic really isn't too bad. Fantastic meal...enjoyed a VERY satisfying pie, mash and peas. Would definitely recommend and return. Thanks for serving us just after the kitchen had closed! :)

Good selection of beers. Lots of seating and good food. I had the chicken burger which was really good. Maybe a touch expensive at $21 but that's probably the going rate these days. Staff were very friendly and they have WiFi
