Played yesterday and I have nothing but praise for this course.
At present the greens are in immaculate condition and the fairways are in good nick. The layout is a good challenge for all types of handicaps and makes for a fun round. It's not crowded and some of the views on the back are beautiful. The abundance of kangaroos that live on the course make for a memorable game.

We had a large party for a bucks show here, Mark and the team helped us plan the day over email in the weeks prior. The day went amazingly and we all loved the course. It was great fun and was all done within a reasonable price.

Good little course. Hadn't played here in a while. It no longer has a dedicated pro shop so directions to pay and find the first tee are confusing. The resort itself feels like a ghost town now, but the course is in good condition. It's a hilly up and down with some walking between holes. Some hole directions could be better for walkers. Plays a part 70, with some challenging par 4's and blind tee shots. Shot a 91 despite it being a warm day. Would probably get a cart and play on a cooler day. Beware, greens quicken up during the day! Also seems to be visited by people who are tourists first/golfer second. Hit a middle fairway drive, and while walking towards it and the group ahead were wondering about and stole my ball!

An enjoyable 18 hole course. The wind coming off the ocean can make things a bit tricky sometimes which is good and the greens can be a bit fast if you're not careful. I noticed quite a few unrepaired pitch marks on some so players, please check and repair any you make instead of just leaving them for someone else to deal with.

Part of golf for me is the walk but this time I developed a problem in my left knee whilst on the back nine and was unable to finish my round. The staff were great and came out in a buggy to rescue me and I'd rate them 10/10 for service and helpfulness. Will definitely go back but maybe I'll book a buggy next time instead of walking it.

Warning - watch out for snakes. Had a close encounter with a large Brown that was getting on for a metre in length in the rough to the left of the 5th fairway. If you put a ball in there just forget about it.

What a cracking course. Greens excellent, whole course well kept and challenging. Very Aussie country with Roos and wildlife all around you Restaurant and bar nice, staff friendly but services limited, rooms average. If you're thinking about going to McCracken and you're more into your golf than the room then I'd be heading here first. Tbh loved it.

Just spent the last few days here, once again we had the best time, yes they may be doing some renovations, did not affect our stay at all, staff were amazing, always helpful, available and friendly, the golf course is looking great, winter conditions but the best time to enjoy this place, ? a great pace to live too.

I just want to say thank you to the Wirrina Cove staff...

We were in room 8 from the 18th to the 21st of December 2022

We wanted a quiet stay and this is exactly what we got. You were friendly and welcoming and the food in your restaurant was wonderful.

Beautiful course, very very difficult for beginners (me) you will lose balls! Lovely soft and spongy greens but are wicked fast while putting/chipping
We felt the staff didn't care about us. We were the only ones here on a Friday midday, and it's almost as if we were making their life difficult.

UPDATE REVIEW 11/6/22
We've had over 100ml of rain in the last week. The course was looking great. Fairways had an excellent coverage of grass. The greens were particularly good with the ball rolling beautifully. All the bunkers were raked and in excellent condition. We were reminded of just how beautiful a setting the golf course is in with undulating hills and an abundance of flora and fauna. We chatted with Sean the groundsman and complimented him on the condition of the course. They have just opened up a practice putting green......... It has got to be the largest one I've ever seen. We had a long chat with Les one of the members. He made mention that the current owners have invested significantly into the golf course and that was obvious to us as well. He is or has been a member at a number of other golf courses. Wirrina is his favourite. I can understand why.......... Such a quiet and peaceful setting. Well worth the 60 minute drive from Adelaide and great value for money. Two for one with your Drummond card. As usual, Alice was very welcoming in the pro shop.

We are coming out of a very wet winter. The course is very well drained and was in excellent condition. It is always a pleasure to play at New Terry. Fairways, greens and bunkers are always well maintained. Alice was very welcoming in the pro shop. Please read my previous reviews.

UPDATE REVIEW: 8/1/21 Our second round of golf at New Terry in the last couple of months. As per my previous review, the course was in excellent condition - all Fairways, bunkers and greens. We werereminded of the peacefulness, beautiful views of the sea and surrounding hills and the abundance of wildlife including kangaroos. Alice was very welcoming in the pro shop. We had a great day out. Be sure to add New Terry to your bucket list of golf courses to play in country SA...... an easy 60min drive from Adelaide. Please read my previous review.

We haven't played golf at New Terry (Wirrina) for a number of years. When we last played the course it was in very "average" condition. We heard that there had been a change of ownership in the last couple of years and the course had improved. Instead of playing one of our favourite courses at The Links Lady Bay we decided to drive the additional 10 minutes to New Terry. We were reminded of the beautiful, peaceful and undulating layout of the course with an abundance of wildlife including kangaroos. It was immediately obvious that more time and money had gone into the golf course. There was an excellent coverage of couch grass on the fairways enabling the ball to sit up beautifully and the bunkers were well maintained. The rough was also mown. The Greens were in excellent condition given that they were cored a few weeks previous........ there were no bare patches to be seen. We congratulated the groundsman on the overall condition of the course. He stated that he felt the course was "getting there" meaning that he felt further improvements needed to happen......... all the better for us golfers!!!! Well done to everyone on the significant improvements. Given the significantly improved conditions and value for money at New Terry golf course (2for1 in the the entertainment book and Drummond Card) We highly recommend a round of golf there. We had a great day out and very much look forward to visiting again in the very near future.

What a lovely golf course. All the staff are helpful and friendly. The views are gorgeous. A perfect example of what the Fleurieu Peninsula has to offer-SA's best kept secret.

Horrible waste of money, staff could barley speak English and are extremely rude. pool spa and rooms out of date and uncomfortable. Golf and mini golf over priced. Bar and restaurant not even open the entire week stay at the resort.

The entire resort feels like a ghost town and the images in booking websites are extremely misleading in terms of cleanliness and the overall upkeep of the resort.

The only thing you get is an outdated rooms with no WiFi connection at all (despite being advertised) at disgustingly high prices. Spent most of our time in normanville rather than wirrina cove.

Came in this evening to pick up my takeaway, new staff, not very friendly. New menu is litterally the same... nothing worse than being served by someone who makes it quite clear they don't respect you. Awkward moment when the customer is more friendly and greets the attendant and the customer gets no response back...

Got to the golf course this morning 4 cars in the car park and got told we couldn't play as there were no carts available even though I could clearly see 40+ carts sitting there. The woman wouldn't even look at fitting us in as said a straight NO with no apology or sympathy at all. After driving 1 hour to come play.

Not surprised this golf course is deteriorating and gets no one playing.
