The ribs were average would I go back for them - no. I think Hogs Breath and Shoreline have better ribs.

The place stinks like a stinky old casino and is generally not clean.

It's cold upstairs.

Only thing that was good was the service the team were friendly and accommodating.

Would definitely not be going back.

I've agonised about posting this review, but Google keeps reminding me (yes I could dismiss the request) but I was really disappointed in the downstairs bar meal I ordered - fish and chips for $22. I'll post the photo but it was literally just that. 2 pieces of frozen crumbed something and chips with tartare that had no taste. I'd like to think the kitchen just messed up and this was a kids meal. My friends liked their meals, which were only $18, but again, just the steak in a roll with chips and pulled pork in a roll with chips.
The outside furniture has been updated (yay) and the plain wall has been decorated with sleepers and two vertical gardens - which are half dead. They're not the only venue that spends money on outdoor plants only to let them die from lack of water.
We went to the downstairs area to eat as the upstairs is not wheelchair accessible.
So needless to say, I won't be going back in a hurry.

If stairs aren't a problem for you, this is a place you should check out. The service is good staff are friendly and helpful. I had the steak, which they got right, RARE not overcooked at all. The seafood basket was also good, very tasty and fresh. If you are in the area, give it a go you won't be disappointed.

I hate posting negative reviews but when you leave a place feeling like you've been totally done over you feel like you need to. First time in years!! Ordered Fisherman's basket $40 The squid was grey the fish overcooked and oily as. Prawns oily. The scallops shrivelled up and the chips very average. This was surely not fresh. Presentation on delivery HIGHLY disappointing. I had to spit out the squid after trying a bit of it. Tasted off 🤢 We didn't send it back as we were with a bunch of people after a funeral and I didn't want to be that person. So I picked at it half-heartedly. When I asked for a discount on leaving at desk she said she would have to first speak to the chef and then call the duty manager... and adding that I should have sent it back straight away, that I had ate most of it and finally gave me a measly $5 off. Well sorry I was starving and ready for a delicious meal. POOOOR customer service!!.. and that comes from someone who has done a lot of time in hospo. If you can't do a dish properly then don't have it on the menu. And when you have a disgruntled customer and a queue of people behind them look after them instead of wanting to contact the duty manager plus the chef so I have to waste more time explaining and defending this ridiculous scenario and feeling like I'm the person at fault. When push come to shove they failed on a major level with major incompetence. Management train your people better.

The service was top notch & the actual pub is really well maintained & overlooking the marina & water. We ordered garlic prawn parmigiana & scotch fillet & couldn't fault them. We also just walked in after work without a booking & they accommodated us. Highly recommend

Atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, service excellent and food was good Pub grub. My steak was supposed to be medium rare but was cooked medium this didn't phase me because it was tender and peppered sauce great. They were very busy.

Staff are super friendly. Squeezed us in with no reservation. Meals beautiful. 😋

It was a very long time ago that I'd eaten here so it was time to reacquaint myself.

Was met with very friendly staff on entering. Decided to skip the usual Parmigiana and decided on the chicken schnitzel instead. The place was very busy so it took some time for our meals to reach us. Even management thought it had taken too long so offered us a round of drinks on the house which I thought was very decent of them. The meal was more than it looked and utterly filled me plenty and was very delicious. It came to about $30 including my first drink which I felt was great value.

Plenty of parking around the place and amenities within means you're pretty much covered. Can even have a flutter on Keno if you're feeling lucky. Considering how busy it was when I arrived I'd advise to book ahead.

We went there for Sunday lunch without booking. Luckily we got a table with waterfront view. It was nice experience !
The meal was good, the dessert was huge as $10.

This is by far one of the best pubs/restaurants in Tasmania. I honestly cannot fault their staff and their service, food and overall welcoming atmosphere. Don't change, it's perfect.

Never too much to do close shopping transport and Ferries close to the hotel gambling nice people friendly great meals and comfortable rooms to do things in eg bottom room drinking meals upstairs and a room for drinking and gambling. No smoking inside cabs all the time, street parking and Ferries morning till early afternoon

Phoned to book on a Monday and asked if possible for a table with a view, was met with a sarcastic "I'll attempt". Arrived to find we had been given the absolute worst table in the house right in front of the bar even though none of the window tables were occupied all night. Very strange behaviour from whoever took the booking and allocated the tables. Food is average pub grub with the exception of the scallops which are good. Not much for vegetarians or special dietary requirements. They did not have the vegetarian schnitzel on the menu and the alternative they served up was barely edible. Overall, disappointing and rude treatment.

I have enjoyed dining here twice this week. Food is fantastic. The staff are refreshingly friendly and present. I might be back again this week.

Walk in with no booking for lunch today and although appeared busy, staff at the front counter were happy to accommodate my friend and l.
Great to sit on the waters edge with beautiful views of Bellerive Marina. Menu's and specials lunch board were presented minutes later all at reasonable prices. I was surprised to see table service available. I did note the website is worth a visit to see menu items and bookings.
The staff here were friendly and efficient.
There was a mix up with drinks but apologetic.
I was impressed by the array of parmi's on offer.
Menu items includes roast of the day, (lamb) which l had with roast vegetables, a sizable dish with lots of flavours. Fish of the day, seafood -scallops, salt n pepper squid, steak and pasta dishes and good selection of craft beers and wines to accompany your meal. This business also offers senior discount and caters for kids with a good selection to enjoy. No dessert this time but will have when l return for an evening meal. One thing l did note it is not wheelchair accessible.

Fairly average pub fare. Ordered salt n pepper squid. Squid smelt a little long in the tooth and was very heavily salted, but well cooked. No side salad - just chips. Partner had the scallops for $32. Handful of very small crumbed scallops, chips and a salad with pre-packed grated carrot. Nothing to rave about.

Came supporting some disabled people and ordered a child's steak and chips meal as I was not overly hungry. I was advised that this was OK. Was not asked how I wanted the steak, and it arrived overcooked and charred. The large cappuccino morphed into a regular size.

When paying for the meal I was charged a surcharge for ordering a child's meal. This was not mentioned at time of ordering. I declined to escalate my dispute as had clients to look after.

Staff were a little standoffish when we arrived with our family group of 11(three generation family group) as it was inconvenient they would need to setup a larger table. After we were seated meals were fantastic, the view is nice out on the verandah. They also do seniors priced meals

Amazing food + wonderful staff ❣️ Claire and another lovely lady with short hair looked after us so well 😊 They accomodate kids so well too. Tolerating, kind, supportive 😙 just the place for a family meal ☺️

Thinking this would be great after reading reviews, ordered the seafood platter for 1, so disappointed, not only was the plate full of salad and cold chips but the seafood was no where near top quality, far from it. Garlic prawns were overcooked and lacking flavour. Coming from WA we have beautiful seafood and thought TAS would also have top notch. I wouldn't go here again. Go to the Dharma Tassie. Amazing food

Food was very nice and reasonable priced. Great views and the staff today were the best/kindest we've ever had when dining here. We'll definitely be back. It's a nice venue for a family meal

One of the nicest hotels meals my family have had in a long time, and very generous serving size.
BBQ Pork robs were excellent. My kids state parmi was the best meal they have had, thank you for the great service and we will be back!

The food is pretty good and reasonable.
The bar staff are really great, been there a few times for a few bevies, and the staff were excellent, in particular the young girl that was working Friday 2/7. Kept everyone under control without upsetting anyone.

Came here for tea tonight and absolutely disgusting
Brisket tacos cold, pork bao buns cold, chips cold. Pizza that oily and dripping in oil it's inedible .so called aioli can't even get it out of the container . Both mushroom gravy's tasted different . And killpatrick scallops tiny as very disappointed .
Staff were rude as all hell. Took 15 minutes to get a seated. I went to order drinks and the lady stacked all the dishwasher and put them away before serving us . Missed out on 2 keno games while waiting . But really liked the boy and the mita great service and super friendly . Pub loaf was great just no balsamic vinegar with the oil.
Took the girl 6 attempts to pour 1 schooner of beer.

Just a "pub", so depends what you want.
Staff made mistakes with the menu - although they were very pleasant / food quite nice / lots of silly mistakes - but - as I said "it's a pub" ...

Great location. A nice warm place on a rainy day looking at the yachts and views back across to the city. Also, friendly staff.

We've visited the Waterfront several times recently, and every time the food has been delicious. A great menu, that's not too big, means it's quick and enjoyable. Atmosphere is pleasant. Service could be improved, all staff are lovely, but it would be great to be checked back on and be asked whether we want more drinks or dessert. Overall a must for your belly.

Drinks are pretty stock standard. My partner had the parma which was good. I had the fish burger, the chips were good but the fish burger was inedible, it had a strange taste to it that was "not right."
For drinks and the view it's a good choice.
