Very friendly good country golf court

Unfortunately, my experience was marred right from the beginning by an unwelcoming encounter with a staff member. Upon arrival, I was greeted not with the expected warmth but by a rather egotistical individual who seemed more interested in reprimanding me over a simple dress code issue than in making me feel welcome. This not only made me uncomfortable but also affected the three social players teeing up with me. Understanding the importance of adhering to the club's dress code, I had no issue with purchasing the appropriate attire from the pro shop. However, the staff member's initial approach left much to be desired in terms of customer service. Interestingly, another staff member later offered a light apology for the discomfort caused by the initial encounter, suggesting that such behavior was not unusual for him, which is disheartening. It's disappointing when spending at the establishment, from the pro shop to the restaurant, is overshadowed by such negative interactions. On a more positive note, the greens were in excellent condition, showcasing the care put into certain aspects of the course. Unfortunately, this was contrasted by the fairways, which were not maintained to the same standard.While I was looking forward to recommending this club to fellow golf enthusiasts, the lack of professionalism displayed by certain staff and the mixed quality of the course facilities have led me to advise against it. It's a shame, as first impressions are crucial, and customer service plays a significant role in the overall experience.

Not the best experience from the word go.
Prices are incorrect on the website and when addressed at the pro shop to the young fella, he was more interested in watching something on his laptop with a random girl sitting with him. $30 for 9 holes round this track is robbery, when online it says $25 - which is still too much for the standard of golf course . The course was in terrible condition, I get the construction there but jeez. There was no guidance from the pro shop that the course was all over the place and holes under construction so you go from playing the 4th hole to like the 20th hole, was like playing a maze. Guy in the pro shop even wanted to offer a putter to be regripped at the time and I said well it won't be dry and should take around 1-2 hours to solidly dry, his response was "nah it'll be fine to play with straight away" - yeah ok mate!! The fairways had so much loose grass over them that you could lose your ball in the fairway, was like a genuine mud track. Surprised Cam Smith still attaches his name to the club.

Played here a couple weeks ago with my dad and 2 brothers. The course was under construction and we had no notification that this was the case.

We paid $50 each for 18 holes and honestly the course was a joke, no signage, no map. We had no idea how to find the next hole and the people in front of us and behind us had to ring the proshop and where to go for the next hole.

We finished the 18 holes and went to the pro shop to let the head pro know what our experience was. The guy then proceeded to swear at my dad and tell us to F off.

the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Will never play here again in my life.

great course, all staff are lovely. solid pro shop, course condition are mint and they're doing a huge upgrade. always investing back into course, love playing here. great for my son learning too.

Had a hit yesterday with a social group. Hadn't played the course in many years but thoroughly enjoyed it. I was able to take my own cart which is an awesome thing. Plenty of trailer parking. The course has many improvements since my last visit. Fairways and greens were very good. Bunkers were reasonably consistant although a little wet from overnight rain. If your driver is on line, its a reasonably easy course but certainly holds some dangers for those who tend to spray or duff the ball.

PS. No members courses let you wear denim shorts or jeans ( talking to an earlier reviewer.) Rookie error.

enjoyed parts of this course. shame the group ahead of me played 9 holes without letting me through. when I said yeah I'll just wait, the bloke even threatened me and flashed his chairman shirt. whatever makes you feel special champ - must be a sad life you have. this is the culture of the club from the few times I've played here

Your members are a bunch of whining, elitist, entitled children and they can have the course. Will take my green fee's and the $100 i spent on drinks and play elsewhere.

Archaic Dress code, turned away for wearing denim shorts with a Polo...Cam Smith literally won competitions with a mullet

Great club for juniors. Resident club pro Nick Tonga provides great lessons for all levels and has numerous clinics for juniors. Course has a good layout ave provides a good challenge for all levels of golfer.

Booked 9 holes, was told on the phone it was $16.50 each since it was past 3pm, got there and Pro wasn't very accomodating and laughed at us saying it was that price. Then wanted to charge $1 for a pencil. $30 for 9 holes on a Monday was a bit much. Course is average, greens are good but the fairways are so dry. Bit rich for the quality. Keperra or nudgee a way better option.

Nice course. Some interesting holes. Friendly staff and great food. The 3 in front of us never raked a bunker and even worse pushed their carts across the greens. Never seen that in my 30 years playing golf.

Decent, we'll maintained course. There are some dangerous parts in terms of holes/greens very close to each other and stray balls coming from every which way. Won't be within the regular rotation but will play it again

So like my neighbour was walking past this place, then all of a sudden he was hit in the knee by a stray golf ball, bam. Like it was something straight outta Seinfeld or smth

The course was really good even though it was wet. I was a visitor from Taree and I hired a set of clubs and was disappointed that they were very short for a person over 6foot tall. The quality of the clubs were OK but every club was short with the driver over 100mm different to standard.

Great course, with true greens. Staff in the clubhouse and pro shop are very obliging and the whole course is very neat and well maintained.

Fantastic golf Club. The course is in great condition and well maintained. The people ln the Pro Shop are nice. Club staff friendly, food is great and beer cold.

Wantima club now has a fantastic chef and meals to choose from.
Two dishes I particularly liked were the bacon and egg burger and the Crumbed Lamb cutlets but there were other tempting options.
Great atmosphere along with overhead televisions.

Friendly serving staff made for an enjoyable game at Wantima where something new seems to be common.

Great course..would be a challenge for the novice golfer.

Nice layout. Awsome greens apart from the 9th as it didn't roll the same speed as the other 17 .. fairways need some work, and it's not as nice as it looks as you drive past. Very very busy with retirees when I played and I'd say there's better courses within a 30 minute radius worth the same amount of money.

Great golf course with great facilities for 21st birthday I I have been to several and they have always been nicely catered for as for the golf course fantasticb

Played golf with Annie this afternoon and enjoyed the game. The only time we had any trouble was when Annie's ball rolled into a bunker and it definitely didn't want to return outside of the bunker sandy confinement.

Great course needs better signage for tee positions and I hope the greens are under repair as they were terrible.

Booked, but our booking was nowhere to be seen. Kinda shame for my best mates birthday. Course is ok.

Fantastic club...great course!

I took my daughter there for a lesson. She was pleased with the outcome and professionalism of the lesson. Had a quick beer afterwards and I liked the range of beers and smiling service

The golf course and it's layout is pretty good, not exceptional, but enjoyable and the pro shop is al right, with good service. I've seen worse, but I have definitely seen better. You can't really complain about the actual condition that the course is in, due to the recent droughts, so don't expect Augusta fairways and pebble Beach greens.
