Wangi Hotel (The Shack) is def a go to for local taka (Lunch, Dinner) @ a good price too.
This spot will not dissapoint the taste buds with whatever you order (We practically kept returning to try the next thing on the menu it was so good) & ya belly will 100% be satisfied with the huge servings.
Dont leave Wangi Wangi without hitting this spot. Even if its for the desert. Try the Sticky Date Pudding. Oh my lord #Amazing

Stopped in here last night - 10/10 for my chicken parmi, one of the best I've had, pepper gravy and chips were perfect aswell really impressed. Perfect place for a Sunday arvo beers and feed, Javier absolutely nailed the acoustics. Excellent atmosphere, locals and the bar staff are friendly and laid back. Could not have asked for a better way to spend our Sunday afternoon!

Didn't stay in rioms but had lunch. Large group with range of meals from lunch soecials to blackboard. Steak was delicious. Chips perfectly cooked - fluffy and crunchy. Everyone enjoyed and had a generous enough helping to be full. Nice atmosphere outside. Very comfy couches and seats. Good vibe. Friendly staff.

Nice little pub. No pretentions in this place like all of Wangi. Friendly and switched on staff, decent service and high quality food. Group of 7 and everyone enjoyed their meals. Definitely above average pub grub and we will be back. Only 30 mins from the Central Coast so well worth a visit.

Table of 11 and everyone absolutely loved their meals! Mexican Prawn Salad was ???? and I'm still thinking about it a few hours later!

Thoroughly impressed. Cute little old style pub, small playground for the kids, food was excellent.. chips were delicious, schnitzel nice and juicy and the honey mustard dressing on the salad was sooo good! Would choose this place over the RSL's anyday.

Had lunch here and it was amazing, we had the squid schnitzel from the specials board, service was great, price of the meal was good.. Nice little beer garden. We will definitely be back

Meals are typical of pub food both in terms menu and quality. Drink range is ok, they have a couple of main stream craft beers. Bistro area is comfortable and air conned in a covered area but there are a number of others areas to sit.

They have the most decent food in Wangi & not overpriced. Makes the workers food taste like garbage.
They're also the only place in Wangi who didn't discriminate against people during the "pandemic" with a mask exemption.

Great atmosphere, Very cute little town a short distance from Central coast and Cessnock areas. I didn't stay, only visited for dinner and beer so I didn't rate the rooms. The staff are always friendly. We love coming here for a stress free afternoon.

Needed to relocate a baby shower at last minute due to rain. The hotel was very friendly, flexible and accommodating. The party had a great time in their alfresco area and enjoyed the food and drinks.

Amazing service - I went to Wangi Pub and order loaded fries for an entree on an extremely busy night. My entree didn't come before my main and after talking to the friendly waitress about what had happened she was very apologetic and gave me a full refund. My entree came out shortly after I informed her. Great service and always great food.

Spent a few hours here, had lunch and a few drinks with friends, played some pool and had a punt on the Pokies. Staff were friendly and inviting and the food was delicious. Parking was plentiful also.

Limited menu possibly due to covid. Basic dining room. Staff lovely. Prices great. Plenty on the plate and cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend for those on a budget that would like a nice meal out

We really enjoy our visits to Hotel Wangi because 1) they are very COVID conscious 2) the staff are always pleasant 3) the meals are really delicious 4) the venue isn't too noisy so we can hear each other in conversation 5) and finally they have a large outdoor area where families can get together & the kids have space to play.

Great tap beer. Rooms are fine. Water pressure in showers very poor. Friendly staff when it suits.

Fairly busy pub for a remote area like Wangi Wangi. There is lots of street parking. Not so much as carpark space, unless you park across the street into the RSL parking lot. Decent food.

Very nice food. Generous portions. Drinks price I felt was a bit high.
