We dined at the wallaby bistro and received the most outstanding service from Tayla. She was friendly, helpful and professional. The Wallaby is lucky to have her. The food was delicious and we were so thrilled with the kids eat free deal on Mondays. Thank you Wallaby and a HUGE thank you to Tayla! We will absolutely be back!

Had an absolutely amazing time at the Wallaby the other day. The food was incredible and the customer service was superb with one bartender in particular, he served up the most delicious cocktails and made drinks so fast that he would present them before I even had time to open my wallet. Didn't catch his name but had long hair and tattoos. Would recommend going dinner was incredible.

Had a beautiful meal with my family. The staff were amazing in particular Tayla who went above and beyond with friendly service and assisting us with all our needs including food allergies. She had extensive knowledge of the menu and what we could or couldn't have. We were so appreciative.

The atmosphere was just electric. Physically couldn't handle the shakes in my boots from all the radiating joy. The retro and rustic feel of the pub is just so inviting. Piper was my waitress and she elevated the experience in such a cohesive way, truly just swaying through the pub like a jellyfish in water. Food was great too.

Came in on Sunday evening. Absolutely spectacular service. Food was brilliant. One staff member rose above the rest - Evalyn went above and beyond to provide a serendipitous experience. Great place, the staff were so warm and welcoming. The amazing lady in the gaming room, think her name was Kelly, greated us with a smile and always came around to ask if we were okay. Will definitely return 🍾

I recently had the misfortune of experiencing the Wallaby Hotel, and let me tell you, it was a laugh riot from start to finish. The staff, led by the incompetent, chubby Maddy, seemed to have taken a cue from a sitcom rather than a hospitality training manual. Maddy's hairstyle might be stuck in the '80s, but her commitment to her cocaine addiction is truly cutting-edge.

Kelly and Ryan, the dynamic duo of customer service ineptitude & incompetence, deserve a standing ovation for their impressive display of indifference. It's almost impressive how effortlessly they managed to make every interaction feel like an inconvenience.

In a shocking twist that even a comedy writer couldn't dream up, the Wallaby Hotel reached new heights of absurdity when a simple request for water was met with a refusal, leaving a guest with diabetes high and dry. Bravo, Wallaby, for your commitment to denying the most basic necessities.

In conclusion, the Wallaby Hotel is a comedy of errors that deserves a spot in the hall of fame for the most absurd hospitality experiences. With a cast of characters like Maddy, Kelly, and Ryan, this loser pub should be featured in a sitcom titled "Service with a Snarl." It's time for the curtains to close on this farcical establishment - the punchline has worn thin, the sooner the better this dump of a place closes down! Mega losers!!

My husband and I are up visiting family at Worongary and they brought us here for lunch. Beautiful town and a great place to eat. The food in the bistro was absolutely delicious. Even my fussy mum loved and ate all her meal. I can't wait to come again.
The young lady behind the bar (who also took our difficult orders) was terrific. Her name was Chilli and she served us with a smile and cheerful conversation. Our orders were not standard to the menu and she took it all in her stride still smiling. What a credit she is to the Wallaby Hotel. Congratulations for employing such a dedicated, friendly and kind person. She made our day special.

Never in my 8 years travelling throughout Australia (from Sydney to 200 people towns) for work I've seen such discrepancies between the way the staff treated my group, and the locals.

Impolite, rude, dismissive and acting like they were doing us a big favour by clarifying some menu items, clearly did not like the ethnicity of our group and we got left to their worse service possible. We all (including elders that did not spoke English) left the pub feeling discriminated.

Food was good.

Super delicious food, I had the regular parmy and I could not fault it. Pricing is reasonable, there are different size options, the only downside was lack of cutlery and napkins on the table (we had to go find our own) and one meal was significantly later than the others. We had a booking for 8, and they could cater for that. The atmosphere was also quite nice. There is indoor and outdoor seating, plus a play area for kids.

Ok old pub, interior is a mix of old and partial new remodel modern that doesn't flow. Went for drinks in the middle of the day, hardly anyone was around, no real atmosphere. Fast service.

Great pub on the Coast. Every visit, the chefs exceed themselves. Piper in the bistro was a delight, and the managers we saw, Nadia, JJ and Ryan lead a great team!

At very short notice, late in the day, the Wallaby staff found us a very clean functional room for the night. We were minutes from the kitchen closing - they cooked up a lovely meal

Lacks the ability provide a great pub atmosphere. Went there to watch the AFL and have a few beers with dinner and a band was on. Main bar closed off, fair enough. The only option was to sit in the cold watching a small TV without sound. Big bistro with five people in there. They don't provide a venue you and your mates want to hang at. Keep the sport on, improve the atmosphere and make it a second home for locals. Could be much much better.

We chose the Wallaby for my mother-in-law's Wake after her funeral. We chose a function room downstairs. The staff helped us choose suitable food platters - including gluten-free and vegan options. Bar staff were provided for those who wanted drinks other than tea or coffee. The food was delicious and plentiful.

Great food, great service, nice ambiance! Really cool little playground for kids. Unfortunately for me, I was sitting too close to it, but being with a large group, I didn't have much choice regarding seating. It was a warm and humid afternoon, so I would've preferred sitting inside in the air conditioning, but on a cooler day, the verandah tables would be fabulous.

Very disappointing. Had rum steak with surf and turf cost $42. What a rip off. Other guests at our table of 4 were finished their meals before mine was served. 3 prawns and 4 pieces of calamari for my topper that cost me $12. Meant to be a 250g rump lucky to be 200g. Steak was so tough and dry it was not eatable. My plate was not cleared from the table until we were about to leave. When I told the waitress how disappointed I was with the meal and the steak was terrible she offered me a drink. I declined and left. Now I know why I haven't been to this pub in years and will not return

We had a lovely Xmas lunch there today. Food was excellent, plenty of selection and the staff were very polite and friendly. Thankyou again to all the Management and staff for taking time out of their Xmas day to cater for and make our Xmas lunch an enjoyable experience. Merry Christmas.

We had a wonderful dinner with 16 guests for a family member birthday. The food was great and the staff even better. All the little kids loved the playground.

Excellent service, on a very busy night my 2 year old was happy playing in the playground but there were on seats.
A wonderful server Rory set us up an extra table so we could enjoy some food while watching our daughter play.

The Hotel is spotless. The staff are wonderful. The food was stone cold by the time it got to our table. The entertainment (Freak Show) which should have started at 6pm started at 7.10pm. We watched 1/2 of the show and left. Tickets were $65 a head. To be honest we wouldn't cross the road to see them again, if they were performing for free.

Great little pub. Stopped by for dinner, it was delicious. Terrific sports bar that's setup really well. Will definitely pop back in on our next visit

Service is outstanding, I had the rump steak, very good. The rest of our 11 people family had various dishes and all were very happy all round.

The Wallaby has had a re vamp and it's made a big difference.
Good pub food with a bit of a modern spin on it. Some portion sizes are a bit on the small side.
Atmosphere around the place has improved markedly.
Good range of beers and spirits, just don't ask for a cocktail !!!
I was told they don't make cocktails, they're too hard !!
Good outdoor areas and a nice gaming room with it's own small bar.

Can't fault the service here, organised a wake at short notice, upon arrival caught the only bar maid Olivia a little by surprise setting up a bar tab, ordering heaps of drinks etc. she was great and the service was great, food good and reasonably priced. The deck area we sat at was very modern and suited us perfectly. Vegan option on menu was very tasty. The elderly wife of the deceased was very happy, and the heaters were great. We'll be back. Plenty of parking too.

Looks awesome after the refurbishment. New menu is great, very generous serves, staff were happy and very helpful. Recommend the Wallaby parmy, so good.
Ordering took a while as it was busy and the poor girl at the bar was getting smashed, she was still offering gold medal service.
Specials were not on the online ordering system and I think that created the back log at the bar.
Kids had fun in the outdoor play area. Overall a very positive experience.

It is a beautiful pub that has stood the test of time. I have fabulous memories from decades ago and great memories of more recent visits. The gaming room is fun and has member events. Their restaurant is spacious and the food is just delicious with a diverse menu. The public bar is definitely a boy zone and they have a courtesy bus and drive-thru bottle shop and motel facility
Plenty of parking. The staff are super friendly and they know how to pour a proper beer. It's a great place to go with friends meet new ones or just go solo and have fun.

Stayed there a week ago and have been traveling around Qld. Highly recommend this place. My wife and I had a great visit! One of the staff went out of her way to make us feel welcome and was very easy going and friendly. Thanks Kristy! Will be back soon.

Great night seeing an AC/DC tribute band. Food was great! Shared a Caesar salad with chicken and main calamari. Onion rings were best we've had!

Had a bit of reno recently, looking great. What make the Wallaby great is its heritage and its staff. You will get a frothy cold one or a cold water with a smile. I rate this Pub as a gold coast icon.

Disappointing lunch... ordered steak sandwich $19.00 couldn't eat, tough as boot with fat and grizzle bread fell apart when trying to eat through to the steak, my wife ordered spring rolls (4) at $16.00 the contents of rolls did not resemble any spring roll experienced very bland, chef was advised of our disappointment but did not take the time to speak with us even though restaurant was not busy, l am not a fussy eater just want good quality food for the high prices charged
