I am very annoyed writing this review and will put a fair amount in as evidence.
31/9 /26 a friend and I attended the hotel/bar.
I do not have names, but the main negative review is for the manager here. Tall bloke, small numerous tats, longish hair like a mullet gone wrong.
As soon as we walked in we had a few younger staff that were very friendly. FIRST problem we (not everyone) could not even find someone to serve us. Literally waiting 3-4 minutes waving at cctv cameras, yelling out, \"HELLO\", until someone attended the bar. This was after the first drink. Staff everywhere but the bars are a ghost town.
We saw three staff walk past the bar and I asked for can someone serve us please? Staff looked and just walked away.
Bought a beer then the manager starting turning off the dogs/races TVS and all the other ones in the area. Started closing at 8.40pm. I will not bang out about more similar issues. The female worker actually pulled me aside and apologized several times about the managers attitude. My friend and another worker all agree on the attitude of this so called manager. One word answers and statement including, , \"I don\'t care about this joint.\" Shaking head, very big chip on their shoulder. When junior staff apologize for their managers behavior, you have the wrong worker. I am not one to usually whinge but this \'manager\' needs managing. I am just hoping he had a bad hair day or night shift to be this not caring/rude towards customers.

Staff were cheerful and happy to help with things, basic stuff like ice in my water bottle, directions to room, dining menus during lunch and dinner, as well as the reduced menu from 14:00-17:00.

My room had breakfast items, Weet-Bix and Coco Pops, with two small milk cartons in the fridge.

There\'s a microwave in the room, and per usual an iron and board.

If you have a laptop and bring a HDMI cable, you can use the TV as a monitor. It\'s a good modern connected TV.

The Wi-Fi is free, just remember to get the password from the bar. When I stayed it was Hotel101

I was in room 9, but it\'s up stairs.

Parking in the day, around check in time can be a bit hit/miss, however later in the afternoon and into evening there is plenty of parking, and undercover parking bays for motel guests which are quite spacious....plenty of room either side and a the depth of the bays is good too.

It\'s a 3 minute walk to a pizza place, Thai, and some other places to buy dinner. The closest Woolworths is just 5 minutes drive.

Update 19 August....
Forgot to mention....The Wallaby hotel is very close to the M1, so makes a great waypoint stay over if travelling from south onto Brisbane.

With proximity to the M1, and supermarkets, and food places, and value for money, please don\'t stay here, else it\'s booked out the next time I want to stay there. ;-p

The Wallaby is a classic old-style pub with a heritage front bar, tucked away off the main road in a quiet part of Mudgereeba, but in a handy spot. The service I received on arrival was exemplary - lots of smiles and very helpful. The friendly barperson who checked me in even personally took me through the pub to show me where my room was out the back. The room was good value ??' well-equipped, and with a comfortable bed. The only reason I\'m not giving a full five stars is that the noise from the hotel was quite loud up in the room until the early hours of the morning. Otherwise, it was a very good stay.

So much history! Beautiful old pub. We had lunch and it was delicious. Great menu. The staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. ??'???'???'?

Shout out to Kara and the boys cooking up a storm in the kitchen on Anzac Day! Our table enjoyed an array of different meals and they were all superb. The food was fresh and delicious. Can highly recommend the beef tacos, barramundi and the ribs. The service team were under the pump and so efficient. Always lovely to visit this venue and be greeted with a smile.
