Meal was good. Ordered about 7.40pm on Tuesday 17th September 2024. However who I presume to be the owner/republican asked us to not order anything to fancy as one of the chefs had injured herself. He then thought it was a good idea to tell us about the chefs size and weight and how hard she fell (apparently off a ladder). Said 'how do I put it lightly she is a big girl' type comment. Then proceeded to tell us that you shouldn't pick a skinny chef. Several times the republican tried to make conversation why we were eating, shame he did not realise that we found his comments about one of his chefs inappropriate, disgusting and outright disrespectful. Advise for the republican - don't judge a book by its cover, we may be tradi rougher looking guys, however we beleive in respecting women (big or small) and valuing employees. Your comment was disgustin in general, even worse that it was one of your own employees.

My complaint as mentioned to the manager on Saturday was that there isn't enough good ratings about this establishment. Heading across from port vic for dinner for something different we were all so impressed with the quality of the food, serving size & presentation. Atmosphere is great as staff are all happy & helpful. Really great visit, so glad we chose a last minute trip over the Pen. Well done guys, we'll be back !!

Food was very disappointing lasagne was very small and over cooked chips salad was lettuce 1/2 cherry tomato 1 tiny bit of cucumber thought dessert might be good but no crème brûlée was scrambled eggs my husband's schnitzel was good but mushroom sauce was terrible also very expensive

Terrible food. They either have the cleanest grill ever or they did not grill my fish. It was water logged like it had been steamed in the microwave and pure white, no taste at all. No grill marks at all. Total waste of money and inedible.

Went to dinner, paid for grilled whiting, chips (very good) & salad. 2 small pieces arrived, cold...terrible. No where else in town, so went shopping and will cook at the park. Disappointed to say the least.
