Nice location on the water, plenty of room in the club. Food is reasonable, good specials, rest of menu alittle on the pricey side.
When you get the kids ice creams served and the lady licks the topping off her fingers and goes back to serving, discusting.

Went to valentine bowling club today for lunch for my birthday.
Ordered 2 chicken schnitzel with gravy, chips and salad.
My wife and I only ate the chicken and left.
The salad was NOT fresh and the dressing tasted like some apple sauce type?. Was a HUGE disappointment. I'm happy to say that I will not be coming back! Best part about our meal was the drink. And $64 (with drinks) is quite pricey considering most clubs have $14 lunch specials.

The food was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful, giving suggestions on alternatives to rheir menu. Very nice outlooks over the lake. Would definitely recommend and go back too.

Food was good. Decent portion size for the coin paid. Busy & Noisy venue, and too many kids running around the dining areas. Tables aren't cleared often, and you have to clear a dirty table yourself to get a table. Great location and view by the lake.

Nice place for lunch and a drink served by friendly staff, with the tranquil waters of lake maquarie several meters away. After lunch a walk along the waters edge, so quiet and relaxing.

Alright for big get-togethers. Food's ok but a bit pricey to be honest for what it is.

Really pretty location though, right in front of the beautiful lake Macquarie that looks amazing in the sunset.

My husband an I went for lunch on a Saturday, both our meals were the best we've had in quite a while, beautiful fresh salads and the BBQ RIBS had vegetables my husband was so impressed and very reasonable prices the views over the lake were amazing. I'm telling everybody and will be going back again and again loved it !!!

Very nice place to eat and hang with your friends ? food was good. My husband enjoyed his main, I enjoyed the entre but my main wasn't nice. I had the BBQ pulled beef schnitzel and vegetables. The BBQ sauce was overpowering, and I couldn't taste anything else. I'll get something different next time

Lovely club with views of bowling green and lake. Delicious food at reasonable prices. Friendly staff.
Only thing that wasn't enjoyable was the appalling "music" that clubs insist on playing. Even though it wasn't loud it was annoying when you are trying to have a meal and chat to friends.
No need whatsoever to have "music" playing especially when everyone there was over 70. We find it very intrusive. I'm positive no one would miss a lack of music.

A magic place on the lakes edge. Food, service and atmosphere were top notch but the sunset...the sunset was spectacular!
I highly recommend this venue.

This is a great place to stop at for lunch and a drink. Staff are helpful , service was fast and friendly and a very nice view.

3 * for the view , food was tasteless an cold , ordered coconut Thai chicken !! What I received was far from what I ordered , can confirm there was chicken !! As for being coconut Thai there was no hint of coconut an as for being Thai !! It was a watery the chicken was chewy an just plain unappetising. Let the the waitress know I wasn't happy with meal !! she was lovely an said she would let chef know , was offered complimentary coffee for $18 meal !!

Valentine Bowling Club is located right beside our beautiful lake with beautiful views. It offers reasonable and tasty lunches and a great bowling green. Well worth a visit.

Their margarita was a bit strange tasting - certainly not the finest mixing but the presentation was nice. The food and dessert however was wonderful.

Nice meal, really quite delicious! Haven't been here for a while, so was really nice to come back. The outdoor area looks like lovely area, would be especially nice in better weather to overlook our beautiful lake, today it's a bit overcast and drizzling.

We were eagerly awaiting to try the new menu at Jessie's Bistro, that was introduced in November. Rather disappointed with it, to say the least! The satay chicken, that has been a popular choice of mine for many years, is no longer on the menu. The garlic prawns, that were previously so delicious with the recipe they used, are now just your everyday garlic prawns...I asked for rice on the side and didn't get any rice at all! Our table also ordered scotch fillets, medium rare, which were ready before the prawns, and they were basically still "mooing". Sent them back and had to wait for a new batch to be cooked. Love this club, but probably won't order from the bistro again until they get their act together.
