I wish I could give Upper Yarra RSL more than 5 stars,There is no better when it comes to the customer service of all the staff,the atmosphere,the menu choices & the top quality meals we received tonight & every other night we have dined here.

Just decided to go for a pleasant drive on a Tuesday with the wife and decided to go to the upper yarra RSL for lunch. WOW the Pork King rib was a winner and the wife's Parma was excellent!!!!!
Make sure you give this place a go!

Fantastic meals, and lovely dinning area, most staff are plesent. unfortunately out of date regarding head-dress as they have modern pocky machine and TV screens for sports enthusiast AFL, Cricket, Soccer Tennis and what ever else is on at the time

Informal, friendly atmosphere. Food was tasty and affordable, even if a tiny bit slow. We were there on a reasonably busy but not full Saturday night for dinner.

Nice food. (Not fancy) Decent size serves. We didn't have to wait very long for our meals. Staff very helpful. Plenty of parking.

Stunning views. Fantastic open plan dining area with historical WW1 and WW2 memorabilia on the walls. Friendly staff. Meals have been a bit disappointing lately.

Second time we've been and second time we didn't see any staff. Waited at the counter as directed by the sign but no one came. Back to Cunningham's who have friendly staff, great service and great food

Best porterhouse I've had in a long time and cooked perfectly. Chocolate Brownie & Raspberry sorbet was delicious. Really enjoyed our time at the RSL

Wow it was absolutely gorgeous and I loved every minute of being there! Amazing vibe and beautiful view. Service was A1

Waited almost an hour and half for meals, which were fairly average.
Kids went to order dessert once they had finished their dinner to be told, sorry kitchen closed at 8.30. It was 8.33!! Absolute joke.

Awesome place, excellent staff amazing food , good choice

For what we were expecting from an RSL dinner we were delighted with our dinner experience which we believe was fully deserved of 5 stars. Crumbed lamb cutlets were on par with some of the finest places I've eaten and the beef and cheese pie was hearty flavourful and a true home cooked dinner. Our compliments to the chef. We would highly recommend for any passing traveller.

We got there on kitchen closing time but the staff were very helpful & obliging in getting us some dinner anyway.

Really great, plain, tasty food every time. Nothing flash, just well cooked, good value down to earth meals. I've been there a couple of times now and always had a good feed. Don't go there if you're expecting gourmet but if you want a good home cooked meal, this is the place to go.

I have been dining here regularly for over ten years and until today I've never had a bad meal. But today's roast beef was a third rate joke,tough,grey,tasteless and full of gristle. If you have changed your supplier I suggest you revert unless you start losing diners

After my last Visit to the R.S.L and ordering the Pork Belly on the specials board @ $30.00 and it coming out like a rubber boot on top for crackle with beans and mash only for veg I don't know why i even gave them another go. Well I did and I wished I never had, I know there's a shortage on lettuce /salad supplies right now, but this is just a rip off and for those looking at my photo of my meal NO i didn't start eating this, it was all they gave me for $27.50, I mean if you cannot supply it, simply don't put it on your menu rather than disappoint, I was still hungry and had to visit bakery on my way home. VERY Disappointed

My family held a very small wake for a family members funeral there and was told we had to pay for a minimum of 30 people at $20 per head which would also cover the cost of a private room. The room was not private and for $600 worth of food we got 3 small platters of finger foods. I'm not sure how they can charge such outrageous prices for such a small amount of food! There was barely enough food for the 13 people that were there! The staff however were lovely and made us feel welcome and the venue was well located and very inviting. The platters were ridiculously overpriced and i would never recommend this place for function hire

If I could rate below 1 star i would. Paid full price for the chicken Parma. It was smaller than I would expect on the seniors menu. Tasted ok but very poor value. Clearly a change in management is required as it continues to decline. You would find more character in a school cafeteria.

First time outing. Magnificent facility. Wonderful setting. Had the salmon which was excellent. Service is fast and friiendly. The price is right. Highly recommended. We will be back....soon.

Other than the one staff member making sure everyone has scanned in to QR code she was the only one who was polite, the other staff members were rude unwilling to engage and too busy Either filling the gaming machines or gossiping in the corner of the bar and then staring at patrons it felt like we were stopping them from going home or something? Menu really needs to be changed up very basic and very little options and most times the special or chefs choices arent available. Illd definitely rethink going here in the future
