If you book a table early in the week for saturday night and go through the layout with one of the bar staff dont count on getting that table that she reserved for you because we were placed over at the tab corner, very disapointed.

A lovely warm welcome from the bar staff, followed with a very good, well priced counter lunch. All wrapped up in a beautifully renovated old pub. Thanks for a great experience!

Food is really good service is minimal which is fine it's more a pub environment, just be prepared to wait an hour or more for your meal.

Food was good but the parma special was served with chips OR salad. A special for $20 doesn't deserve to descriminate between sides - Give us a salad AND chips for that price!
Beer was excellent as always and the staff at the bar are great.

Ordered takeaway chips today. $15 for a half cooked box of chips. Rediculous. Had to chuck half of them in the bin and feeling crook now. Won't be back

We had my daughters 18th family dinner here and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was great. We all had a great time in the curtain room. Will be back

The Tourist is a decent venue. Food is quite good. Drinks are cold and good range. Vibe is ok. Pokies ([---] room) are outside away from view which is a plus. The pub surrounds are new & quite fresh. TAB, Keno, promotions & music. Foxtel for sports etc.

Food was great and drinks very well priced. My medium rare scotch fillet steak was closer to medium but the quality of the piece of meat more than made up that and the Diane sauce was divine!

The first time I tried the stone grill rump it was like heaven on earth. A beautiful chunk of steak served with chips and veggies that I could cook to my liking. A unique and interesting experience that had me coming back for more. If you're looking to spice up your dinners then this is definitely something you should do. However, in my more recent visits, it seems that the quality of the meat has gone down a bit. Otherwise 5 stars.

Loved the shuttle bus ride home. Driver took us to see the Christmas lights of a house close to where we live. Extra special service. Thanks.

Food was shocking. Dry & overcooked. Was such a let down considering the price for the meals. Also waited almost 45 minutes. The positive its very modern inside and looks beautiful, plus the staff were lovely, food was just so disappointing

Extremely accommodating venue. My sister has celiac disease and the staff were more than helpful when assisting our family with alternative menu options. Would recommend to anyone wanting a good feed and a glass of wine.

We had a pleasant lunch here with some friends, the food was good and the service was quick, typical pub setting, nothing glamourous. While this place faces one of the main streets in Queanbeyan there is a large carpark at the rear which makes finding a park very easy.

Our group got there at 7:00pm, we ordered straight. The meals took an hour to come and then the chicken teriyaki meal, had to be cooked on a sizzle stone, but my chips were already and now going cold. The food was very salty, even the chicken schnitzel which was had by 2 others in our group was poorly done. We will be going elsewhere next for Wednesday for our regular meal.

I regularly eat at the tourist and it is consistently a great feed across the whole menu, from the cheap lunch specials to the awesome stone grill selections. All the staff are super friendly from the restaurant to the bar, and a courtesy bus to seal the deal.

All the Queanbeyan pubs are good, and this one is no exception. Bangers and mash mightn't sound fancy, but mine were great.

Great food, had the sizzle stone grill several time, going back again soon. Did I mention good food.

I have had some great meals at the Tourist but this certainly wasn't one of them. The crumbed calamari was as tough as an old boot, just like yesterday's dinner heated up. The chips weren't too bad.
I left most of my meal and told the waitress all of the above.
I'll give them 2 for the chips.

Stone Grill surf and turf was delicious. Highly recommended. Friendly service and modern comfortable atmosphere to suit any occassion.

Venue is amazing.. walking in the charm of this place will blow you away... not to mention the staff.. super friendly, polite and a place to take you whole family for a meal or a romantic night in front of the open fire? add this place for a must visit?

This evening we had a family dinner after work at The Tourist Hotel and I wasn't surprised that the venue, food and service lived up to the great recommendations that friends have made to me. The host and staff are very gracious, particularly in the bistro. But I give this venue a 5 star rating because of the new stone grill menu which is just the variation that Queanbeyan needs. The burgers are absolutely delicious as well and the servings are very generous.
Congratulations to the owner for trying something new and for raising the benchmark for casual dining in Queanbeyan.

I am a local and a diabetic. Since eating at the eatery, my readings have not raisen. I can ask for any dish combination to acommodate my requirements.The staff makes one feel like part of the family. For a relaxing and family night this is the place to be. The food is well presented, cooked and of generous proportion. The setting is relaxing and comfortable. The head chef is often seen walking around talking to people ensuring they are have a good meal and time. Worth giving it a go.

Uncontested care for presentation, beer choice, popular cocktails, live music on a Saturday. Lovely atmosphere maybe one of the fanciest places ive seen in town makes this the place to be any time you've got a few mates and a bit of money for food and drinks. As a local. Choose the tourist for your next night out.

Great location, great service, great prices, and absolutely fabulous staff!! We had my daughter's baby shower there, recommend it for any function!

Great old fashioned well kempt and clean pub. Fully and tastefully renovated about 4 years ago, including ducted air conditioning. With plenty of seating for drinkers and diner's alike.The Bistro offers a great selection of meals, that are generous in size, and above standard pub fare, and very reasonably priced.

Amazing, food was the best part of tourist.
