Didn't stay there but went down for a feed. It was steak night although by the time you added a salad was nearly up to a regular price anywhere else. The steak itself wasn't particularly good (was like the leftover's they couldn't sell during regular times).
The pub itself is quite nice with brewing kegs, lots of room and large pokies area (although they're a bit tight with the pays LOL).
Staff are very friendly and up for chat. Even though I thought the food was a bit ordinary, I'd still pop in if I'm ever down that way

Had yummy dinner here last night, pork ribs, chips and coleslaw this also came with chicken ribs- which we were not a big fan of. We rather a full rack of ribs with chips and the very yummy coleslaw.
On our last visit sometime ago, we enjoyed your sticky bourbon ribs, please bring them back on menu.

We had dinner on a Friday night and we were so pleased with food/ vibe/ service we returned for lunch Saturday and it was absolutely amazing once again.Bree and Tammy you are both such wonderful people who appreciate your jobs with passion and utmost service! Food is of quality and portion is generous! Nothing but good things to say.

My friend and I had a lovely lunch Sunday afternoon. The food was delicious and the service was very good. By Monday morning we were both feeling very sick in the stomach. I thought I would call them to tell them we were both sick but I couldn't speak to a person only make bookings online. I don't think we will be going there again.

Our table service for our booking of seven in the Tank Room was terrific and the meals great. The steak special, Salmon, Barramundi and vegetarian meal were all enjoyed. The staff were all very attentive and routinely checked in on any additional drink requests also clearing empty and not required glasses and crockery along the way. The service experienced at the Torquay Hotel was far better than than most "higher end" restaurants I've attended of late. Thank you. We'll be back.

Had a meal here for the first time ever. Staff were very friendly and efficient with smiles all around. My meal was the ribs and chicken, it was tasty but unfortunately it was just warm. Ribs were over cooked. Overall a good experience

Had an excellent lunch here, seafood linguine and chocolate tart with orange blossom. Linguine was full of seafood, very good quantity for lunch $38. Choc tart at $16 was well worth it to finish off a beautiful lunch. The orange blossom cream with blackberries and raspberries hit the spot sending you to food nirvana. Great hotel with TAB and pokies. Staff were all very professional and friendly.

I had a highly disappointing experience at Torquay Beach Hotel. The service was terrible, marked by rude customer service. My friend's food was accidentally dropped, and instead of offering assistance, the staff mocked her behind the bar. To make matters worse, when she cut her hand, they refused to provide a simple band-aid. Overall, the hospitality was exceptionally poor. I cannot recommend this establishment based on my regrettable visit.

Nice pub, have sat in every section, we prefer the beer garden but it's hard to get a spot in busy periods. We keep coming back each year, a little bit of a tradition. We return so it must be good, nice spot and short walk to beach and shops

Great pub. The beer garden is superb and the main bar and bistro are also great. From dry aged steaks cooked over the flamed grill to the impressive kids play area, it's a must visit place. My kids went a bit loony as per the videos but they were very excited to go here.

Food was delicious and the service the best. The service we received from Angie was fantastic. She remembered all our drinks, recommended dishes to is and had the most uplifting personality. She was amazing...

Ate here with a group of four on a Friday night. Very busy, but service was excellent. Food was all great. The grilled food in particular is brilliant.

We've been to the restaurant. So lovely seafood dish and meat foods are available. Friendly staff welcomed us.
A public car park is available just across the road. Highly recommend for special occasions.

Dined at the Torquay Hotel for dinner twice during my short stay in the area. Was pleasantly surprised that it was more of a gastropub with excellent food and drink options. Menu was extensive, but I was instantly drawn to the Argentinian grill technique they were so proud of. I ordered the wagyu rump steak and asked for it medium rare. Boy did it not disappoint. Servings were generous and sides were just as delicious. I ordered the grilled salmon the next night and it was also cooked to perfection. Highly recommend and I'd definitely return!

There is always a friendly greeting on arrival, a good selection on the menu at a reasonable price.
We had booked for dinner on this occasion and we all enjoyed ourselves that we stayed till closing.
A great atmosphere and a nice location, this is worth a visit.

Had tickets to attend a concert here but was refused entry due to not having physical ID (i had digital copy). I'm nearly 40 years old with a beard so I'm certainly not underage. I had paid for a babysitter and travelled for the show also. I'm now hundreds of $ out of pocket. Nothing on the ticket, or hotel website states that physical ID is required. I've also previously entered the same venue multiple times using a digital ID, as well as having the same ID accepted by police recently. I saw numerous people turned away for the same reason in my short time politely trying to reason with security staff. These rules contradict all government websites as well.

Upon calling the hotel to discuss, the person who answered (Hannah?) Was more interested in arguing and talking over me than trying to listen. She even bragged about making their own rules if she wants to. Absolute joke of an establishment with arrogant staff. I will not return to this venue again.

Had a lovely family dinner in the kids dinning area. It has a great family friendly layout. All meals were good, however, for the cost I think the seafood linguine could have been more flavoursome.

Pleasant staff, fantastic meals. The meal presentation and content would put many a 5 Star restaurant to shame. The menu prices were reasonable, the surroundings and decor was great for a pub. None of the pomposity that often comes with dining high end, instead a relaxed atmosphere, great food and very enjoyable.

Came up from Melbourne for the day! The food and the service were both equally amazing ! We came with a party of 4 adults and 4 toddlers and newborn and the staff were helpful, polite and understanding and quick to help! Everyone's food came out fast and tasted delicious !

It was a fantastic night celebrating mine and my sons birthdays. We were a table of 19 and our waitress was there whenever you needed a refill. The food all came out at once, was hot and tasted amazing.

Fabulous place to eat, decor is gorgeous and a nice ambience all round. The waitress was very nice and attentive. Now for dinner, just loved the Clam Chowder and friend enjoyed the seafood pasta we were too full for dessert but will be back many more times for sure.

Fantastic meal, one of the best kids menus I have seen. The service was amazing, staff friendly and the dining area was clean and inviting. The kids playground is small and was rather dirty with a lot of rubbish around and the ladies bathroom didn't have any soap. Overall, my experience was very pleasant.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Torquay Hotel. It was a modern, clean establishment & the waitstaff were very happy and friendly. They were prompt on service. We observed the staff to be always busy & checking on patrons regularly. They worked well as a team clearing and cleaning tables etc. The food was quick and absolutely delicious. We enjoyed our first night dinner so much we went back again the next night. We can''t remember the last time we experienced such lovely service and food.

We had a lovely dinner here, staff were fantastic, the customer service is second to none. My steak was a little too rare but they were so apologetic and gave us a free dessert. Will def recommend this hotel to friends and family. Thank you Bree for your service and smile!

This is better than your average pub - service was impeccable, food was delicious, bar selection was extensive. Our entire family had an awesome dinner. We will definitely be back again. Thank you for a great night.

Given the timing with everything shut, only referencing the room.
The room was really clean and in pretty good condition flood lights from the hotel storage and delivery area kept our room bright, which was annoying. Comfy beds and pretty OK bathroom.
Oh, and don't use the top shelf of the fridge, since it acts more as an oven because there's not enough ventilation around the fridge so our fruit and cheese came out hot. All in all though it's a pretty nice place with good parking and close to everything and the staff we saw were lovely. Cheers

New Year's Eve in the dining room. ( 4 of us) Splendid cocktails were a good start. Great food, nice wine selection and excellent service. A special shout-out for the sticky date pudding... one of the best I have eaten!

Beautiful food and atmosphere. Kid friendly with a games room. Renovated and well lit. Customer service was good. Big meals, great cocktails and price is very reasonable for the great quality.

Great playroom for the kids.
I also enjoyed the cocktail called the Hugo spritz.

We had dinner with a party of 9 (4 kids under 5) and 5 adults and it was fabulous. The staff were amazing, so lovely and helpful. Food was lightning fast for the kids and the adult's food not far behind. Great range and quality, everyone was happy with their dinners. And the kids play area is ALWAYS very appreciated!! Would highly recommend Torquay hotel for a family outing. Thank you!

Tables could have been spaced a little further apart as it felt very close to other diners especially being in current restrictions. Meals were very delicious, and nice size. There were 4 of us and the table a little small. Next time we would book for 6.

Had lunch here on a cold day. It was pleasantly warm and cozy inside. The staff are attentive. It seems to have been modernised and renovated recently. There is a large selection of classic beers and some more crafty options. A wide cocktail menu too.
(Although it'd be nice to see some options from the brewery up the road on tap.)
The food options were solid, and the size was great for the price. I nearly couldn't finish mine.
A recommendation for anyone looking for a place to go for a "nice lunch out"

Rooms were clean and tidy, not sure that $160 a night was quite worth it. Mattress was very hard and difficult Ill to sleep on. Not just me but 2 others staying with us said the same. Staff were lovely and helpful and the venue itself is great.

The food was amazing! My partner had the beef ribs and I had the salmon, they were both delicious and were cooked perfectly. We also ordered the bruschetta and everything came out very fast. Service was also lovely. We were in and out within 35 minutes which was awesome since we had a long drive home. Highly recommend Torquay Hotel!

Nice pub. Great spot for lunch, when going to the beach. Nice food & good service. Will come back, when in the area.
