The food is absolutely amazinggg!!!! Fresh and every single time we come it never disappoints. Shout out to the chef provan for being so attentive to my lil family when we at dinner tonight Great service .. Highly recommend

They have daily specials on the menu and great value. On Fridays, you can get a sirloin and chips for $24 instead of the regular price of $35. It was cooked as requested, and the chips were so crunchy. It's a great place for a catch-up with friends or family. The food is good quality and well prepared. There are plenty of booths and other seating areas.

It had been 20 years since I spent some time at the Tollgate. Wow what a change, renovated a few years ago it has very pleasant décor, a lovely Bistro setting and it is a very well appointed sports bar.
I went with friends to watch the Tim Tszyu fight, very enjoyable, huge screen on the veranda area which was a pleasant place away from air conditioning. Bar service was fast and efficient and the publican is a lovely bloke.
Can recommend this for small or large groups to drink or dine, they cater for large groups in the bistro. I will be back again had a great time.

Great to see traditional Aussie pubs coming to the plant-powered party.
The pizza (without cheese) was excellent. Well prepared thin base and well-cooked.
The vegan schnitty was a safe option. Good value.

Friendly chill vibe on Friday at lunchtime. Nice open plan pub.. Nearly gave the steak sandwich 4 stars, but a bit well done for my liking, otherwise great taste. Young Henry's Newtowner 2023 vintage was spot on, cant wait till they release their Parramatter! Enjoy.

The staff at tolegate are at a 2* rating they wonder around your poker machine while your playing and look at you as if your robbing the machine or something, lf you like to gamble in privacy and be comfortable l suggest not to go to the tolegate hotel.

Toolgate Hotel is a nice place to visit. The pub has a cozy atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy good food and drinks. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making you feel comfortable. The menu has a variety of tasty dishes and beverages to choose from. It's a great spot to hang out with friends or have a casual evening.

The big screens to watch sports are just amazing

Gone are the sticky floors and topless waitresses, this is now a quality establishment you can bring the family for a meal, or pull up a stool and watch sports in the sports bar. Food was tasty and quickly served.

This is to anyone who wants to go and have a delicious meal with your family or just to catch up for a drink with friends. The Tollgate Hotel in North Parramatta is awesome. I have been coming here for the past 4 years, and the service that Jessie, Niki and all the staff do is fantastic. Also, the food is to die for! I highly recommend this pub. You will not be disappointed. I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Jessie and Niki for doing a remarkable job. Keep up the great work guys!

I've lived in the area for a while but it's only few weeks ago I've visited the Tollgate hotel for lunch with my friends.

I was really impressed with the location it's very nice fit out, good atmosphere.

The staff was friendly and helpful.

Good variety of drinks and food was nice.

Parking on site is a huge advantage

Definitely worth the money and make sure to take part in the raffle take some cash...not like me take no money ?.

My wife and I have dined their over the last ten years and found the food was always good value and the kitchen well run by the previous Chinese couple. Honestly now the food is disgusting and don't ask for anything extra the cranky blonde lady will give you the death stare. We will not be going back or our friends.

I am from the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney and i cannot find a hotel/pub as good as this one in my area.
The staff and the cooks are very good!

Solid 4 star. Refit is very nice. Good selection of drinks and decent food. Nightly specials also. Massive screen in sports bar area if you want to watch game ( separate from dining area)

I gave this place 4 stars for the pub and staff. Great place to relax and have a drink and nicely renovated. Staff are very friendly and the toilets are clean BUT they need a new chef. Food was plain and tasteless. I've eaten here a few times thinking it was the one dish but no. It's the chef. Please get a new chef or teach him how to make pasta and a salad and this pub would be the perfect local.

Foods good, venues modern, staff are tops

Waited like 35 minutes for the food to arrive, only found out after we ordered that the kitchen was unfortunately understaffed for that particular day during a trivia night. So about 20 mins into our wait i asked to get takeaway instead.
Ordered the cheeseburger and the pizza which was decently sized and tasted fine but the cheeseburger looked sad and small. definitely wasn't worth the wait. Pub food is meant to be huge, filling, and great value and it seemed a bit lacking in that department.

At least the bartender offered us a free drink so we got a lemon lime bitter, which wasn't actually a cocktail made lemon lime bitter, it was purely made from the schwepps dispenser and it was pink, they charged $4.20 for that

Next time tell us an approximate wait time or let us know the situation in the kitchen before we ordered, even the sign that said "sorry we're understaffed" was at the back where the kitchen is instead of at the front desk where people order and might see.

Its cool, huge BIG screen TV'S, like 3 of them, one covers the entire wall from the floor to the ceiling and end to end. Perfect for state of origin. Put it this way, if you wear glass's you won't need them. Foods good, new restaurant Reno's. The beer is always cold, clean and crisp, never had a bad beer there ever. Indoor outdoor areas, pool tables are well kept, all kinds of people mix and drink there. Mad kebab shop across the road.

Gee what a great pub now. Really loved it, nice and bright. Best TVs for sport I have seen anywhere. Really beaut ,also met some friends there.

The renovations have changed this tired old pub into a lovely modern venue. Food has improved 10 fold! $14 for a tender rump steak with mash, beautiful mixed green veg and mushroom sauce - great value. The food has always been cheap but now it is quality. Great selection of beers on tap. Bar staff didn't charge for my daughters lemon squash which was a lovely gesture. Took one star off as our meals took quite a while to come out.

The service Michael and his staff have always provided is beyond excellent!

Michael spoiled our daughter and would feed her for free before we ordered our meals.

I hope to see Michael back in the new revamped kitchen as the tollgate bistro is nothing without him.

First time going, hated the steak, mash seemed like it was made by powder. And the serving size was great. My food came out cold.

Yet to try the chicken schnitzel....

But the customer service was pretty good

The tollgate is in refurbished manner and in my opinion it will look good, I hope many people have the same opinions.

Went there in a group to have dinner. When I went to order my meal I asked the lady if I could use the government free dining vouchers there. She replied no we don't take them here. My sister arrived a bit later and ordered and paid with her dining vouchers. I approached the restaurant and asked them why did she take my sisters vouchers but told me they did not take them there and the man chef replied "Oh she doesn't understand english very well". He did not even offer to rectify the situation'. Very poor customer service and to add to it, the food was not the best either. Will not be eating there ever again!

As soon as you finish on the pokies they will kick you out as you aren't allowed to watch your friend play. We spent heaps of money there and they won't even let you sit down without feeding through more money. Appauling service.

First time at this hotel, went there after been recommended from friends, so I decided to try it out as I am sick of the meals that the clubs are dishing out.The food at the Tollgate hotel were very good and taste, I found the prices to be very good value, staff and patrons were very friendly.I will go there more regularly now, the only thing they need is more.comfortable lounges as the chairs become uncomfortable after a short while. Great place for food and drink.

Good fresh food with excellent daily specials. Bar staff very friendly and accommodating with big screen requests. House wines are excellent. Highly recommended.

After 3 plus years of frequently visiting this establishment and giving them business... The benefit of the doubt is over. I always wondered why they're constantly empty, the answer is: customer service is Non-existent. To top it off management is pathetic! Instead of retaining business/customers they act like cowboys... No wonder the place is a dive in general. Oh well, my business will be going elsewhere as well as advising everyone else I know to do the same.
