Amazing looking Building, from the outside. The restaurant looked really nice. We just had a brew, in the pub section, which was a little ordinary.

Look honey's I had a great night DESPITE the terrible bar service , my dog could've served up drinks faster than this girl in the blue. Top floor in the RNB room was a next level joke, we waited 30+ minutes in this line for a drink. Definitely needed three girls or more in the bar. The girl in the blue did nothing apart from talking to her mates and giving free drinks to them. Praise to the second girl in the orange shorts you were amazing and deserve a raise for pulling her wait ?

Hadn't been here for quite a while so our group of four decided to try the food again.

Firstly, I didn't like having to go through to a different bar to order our food. We then had to collect our meals from the pass at the kitchen.

The arancini was so so but the squid was very nice.
My scotch fillet was a bit chewy in places. The pan seared fish was quite nice.

Was a relatively quiet afternoon, but food was great. Above normal pub quality. Kids eat free with paying adult so makes it better value if you have kids.

The best salmon I've ever had.
Also had a christening here last year in the upstairs' function room, amazing food & service!

The girls and bar staff the boys including management go above and beyond to make you feel welcome great pub we suggest come along and enjoy the food and atmosphere you won't be disappointed ? ? ? love our local from a couple who come from Queensland woo hoo you rock

Visted this weekend and the Staff were lovely and attentive. They cleared our plates straight away after we finished eating so we had more room on the table. The food was good and had a decent selection of beer. The girls recommended the $15 cocktails which were yummy.

Wow! I visited The Sunken Monkey yesterday for Mother's Day and wow! I haven't been to this place for 2 years and I was absolutely blown away. The atmosphere and service was perfect. I only waited 20 minutes for my meals and there was at least 250 people in the bistro for lunch.
Staff were so friendly and constantly checking up on everyone.
I order the Mothers Day Special which was Barramundi and it was exceptional.
10/10 experience and I will definitely be back!

What a great night out ... just took hubby & grandson for a feed. Staff an asset to publican with how welcoming they are, chefs and aides are top notch. Food quality and quantity amazing, pricing was well priced. You gotta give them a try - well worth it?

Every time we visit Dad, I had wanted to stop here. Yesterday we finally did and the food was delicious. If you want something light and tasty I recommend the Peach burrata, flat bread was also fabulous. Definitely make this a regular stop.

Celebrated our daughters 23rd birthday here on Tuesday night.
AJ certainly delivered. He was the only chief on duty and performed remarkably well considering the circumstances. Delivery top class food. Highly recommend place for any occasion.

Had a 1st birthday function upstairs here, It was ONEderful!

Great service, ample parking for all my guests, exceptional food and private bar service made it a spectacular day.
The variety of food and drink options are exceptional even serving size was better than expected.
The event team are very good at what they do even, covering evey possible request, even shared contact details of a decorator, who really deserves a review of her own.
I would not hesitate to book another function here. Highly recommended

Had lunch yesterday with a few girlfriends at this venue. I was amazed at the size of my meal which was an entree, had to ask for a doggy bag, but was fresh, delicious and though had to go to the main bar to order the staff were courteous and friendly. Lovely views and friendly atmosphere. Will be returning to this establishment. Highly recommend.

Highly recommended the 4 season pizza and chicken parmi. On top two meals x $25 from special menu Tuesday to Thursday. Can't go wrong ??'?

Great food, loved the Vegiterian Pizza and smoked brisket roll with slaw in the courtyards down where the band plays...
really decent sizes and prices. I shared 1 pizz and 1 roll.
Awesome venue for band, great sounds. Get in early if you prefer a seat though, as they are limited.
Prices are reasonable but what i expect at a pub. About $8pglass of wine to $14 to $20 for cocktails.
Love the idea of custom cocktails to the events and bands playing.
Even though show was out doors next to the water i winter, i expected it to be freezing, however they have plenty outdoor heaters going so it was actually quiet pleasant.
Also great band choices.
Would definitely come up from sydney for another show.
Great opportunity to meet band and get merchandise signed too.

Lovely chicken parma! Was initially concerned when it came out looking a bit thick, but it was beautifully cooked- flavoursome and tender. Nice crisp chips accompanied the parma.

The Sunken Monkey looked lovely from the outside. My parents were here from Canada visiting for a short time and it was our last day, so we decided to try a new dining experience. We were absolutely blown away by the quality of food and outstanding service!!! We tried the chili prawn pizza, calamari, dumplings and the chicken burger! They were all delicious! The staff were so pleasant with great personalities and I can't wait to come back here again! I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone, you will not be disappointed! They are also great with kids! 5 stars on everything from us!!

Cool venue, I went for the open mic and was very impressed with the setup.
I had an aloha pizza which wasn't terrible, but it wasn't amazing.
I'll be back for he open mic, but maybe I'll try something else from the kitchen next time.

The whole team are amazing. The venue is so well kept. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting the central coast area.

Whilst the food at the Sunken Monkey was fantastic, can you please address the issue of the air conditioning in your dining area. The difference in temp between the sports bar and the dining room felt about 10 degrees hotter. It was even cooler outside. It's not enjoyable eating a lovely meal when you have sweat dripping off you.

I'm a local. Always a great meal. Staff are usually nice. BUT. I rang up for a booking a week before for Mother's Day possibly near a window for 9 people. I understand we were put upstairs but they put us in the worse possible place in the corner in the dark whereas the table next to us was unattended and had a window. So we moved. I was wondering was it on purpose because I asked for a window and had to keep traveling downstairs for drinks and meals. Also there was a free table downstairs which we could of had with a few extra chairs.

Had a quality night out here. Great selection of beer. My only real grip is the beer was more expensive then I'm use to. Making it a dearer night then expected but nice lounge area by the river/creek and a good live DJ on the Saturday night that I went there... Also the food was quality at a decent price.. even if my order was somewhat forgotten... -1 star for that...

Great staff and reasonably priced drinks though the cocktails are slower than a snail. Food is generous and tasty . Salad is weird and yuck. Kids meals and drinks are free or discounted. Tables by the river are great. Very family friendly pub.

First time there. The order, when ready, was incorrect - 1 more meal than was ordered and they did not know why. Food was good but a bit slow with service. EFTPOS machine was not working, had not been charged, which slowed things down a bit.

Food was fast, interior was lovely, nice atmosphere, delightful staff and clean toilets.Menu is very limited, and no facilities for children, but otherwise lovely for a family lunch.

Friendly staff, yum food and a good range of choice. Only criticism is there werent really salad options? However I am sure If I asked they would have catered to me as staff have always been really good about it all. Generally really enjoy visiting.
