The experience at Orto italian restaurant is delicious, the pasta is magnificent I love being in this place, excellent service.

A bunch of us old farts had a big walking day through Sydney last stop this beaut pub near Redfern station, staff great and fun, couple of beverages then off home to Wollongong, great day had by all.

Wow, living nearby is such a blessing because I'm officially making this place my regular hangout spot!

The Italian restaurant upstairs is a real treat, the pasta was sooo authentic and delicious. Also, the bar staff aren't just mixologists; they're comedians too I swear :'D. They had my friends and me laughing all night.

The whole vibe is just super welcoming and cozy.

In a nutshell, this place is a must-visit. Amazing Italian dishes, hilarious staff, and a killer atmosphere. Five stars - no question!

We dined at Orto Italian upstairs in the pub, we had antipasto/ pizza and pastas.

Sorry to say , basic Italian , anti pasta plate for that price was shameful (2 x mortadella pieces , 2 salami pieces , 2 cheese slices , some bread , some capers and olives), really even a store bought coles or Woolies antipasto plate would of been more Italian and filling.

Pizza was a dining plate size and likely frozen and heated , base tasted like pre-made , nothing Italian about (it was a margarita) dominoes pizza make better . The pastas, were passable for a pub pasta (small portion / some flavour / pasta inconsistent ).

The customer service is fine , the staff friendly.

The Italian bistro / food has so much potential and could be so much better with some effort , but sadly not this time.

Pubs up the road in Redfern street are charging similar prices and food is generous / fresher and flavourful (they don't serve Italian , but it shows the difference when the chefs care about food and what you serve).

It's an old pub/ club but had good times. Good service with smiles.

Together with philosophy friends, we arrived; about 9:30; after our meeting and talked about weight loss! Service was good, we didn't try for food though.

Encountered a really rude manager today. There's 1 toilet stall for mens for the whole place all day. 1 stall for the whole bistro upstairs thats locked during the day and he wouldnt open even tho the other was ocupied for at least half an hour. It's a gross and depressing place a lot of poor looking ppl playing pokies. Its sad when a bar in such a great location chooses to suck all yhe atmosphere out with poker machines especially when its attracting seniors and others that go hard likely cant afford it. Go to The Dock up the road.

Also have heard ppl complaining about the payouts and judging from the comments it might be a common occurance

Being a local??-???'??? this is 1 place that I've been to many many times over the years.
Although I don't drink any more, it still feels like a venue were U'll enjoy urself & have loads of fun @.
Even singles can do well there, & meet all kinds of nice, friendly ppl. Of course, that's if u got enough GAME.

Great pub for that drink before you catch your train home. Staff friendly as the whole atmosphere.

Quiet clean pub/bar & pokies during the day. Depending on what night your visiting. If your looking for a kick off for a night out 2 start at Redfern. This is it. Start here & work your way up the main drag. Ending at Redfern ??

Old bald fella on a Wednesday (8pm) refused to give me cash out to drop in your pokies after another staff member did. Was rude about it, then gave me a surcharge on a drink and wouldn't explain. Good parmi, won't be back though.

For my 20th beer I had a Tooheys and went in the draw to win a New South Wales jersey. I didn't stay until 7pm when the winner was announced but it was really exciting just to be a part of it all, what a night.

Good location close to station. Pool table on 1st floor with restaurant. $16 Chicken burger not bad. $6.50 New beers. Busy little bottle shop. Nice street view. Locals pub.

This has been one my secret Drinking holes, I am full time Cyclist now, so I can dive in out of peak hour Hustle and Bustle and sit back and relax.
So as I quench my thirst, I can sit in wonder, W4hat are they all rushing 4.

So as they continue to Rush off, in the Mad Mad World that they choose live in, I grab the Wine list to choose a nice Riesling to match my Gorgeus Salt & Pepper Squid. !!

I wouldn't go to any other pub i know everyone here and i love all the staff they always treat me very well!

Went there this Saturday with a few mates. Really relaxed place and had a really good experience with the staff at the bar. But what really surprised me was their bottle shop. The bottleshop's range of beers and wines was really good.

Really friendly atmosphere and professional staff. Lady and the manager behind the bar upstairs were welcoming, and food was expectionally delicious! Would definitely come back again!

Amazing experience, the staff were so accommodating for our little graduation / Halloween celebration. Security was amazing and so kind. Will definitely be returning

Great pub just around the corner, well presented and love the fish tank in the corner. Spacious and good service on the night we went there. The ptice was reasonable and the overall vibe is great.
