Wait time was 50mins for our meal, but we were warned at time of ordering via the QR code.

We hosted two functions recently at the Lucky Squire as part of the Life Saving World Championships. Thomas was amazing, so accommodating. We were able to use the space we needed, the speaker system for speeches and even put up flags and posters. The outside area was fantastic for what we needed. Thanks so much. Would definitely return here again and highly recommend to anyone.

The venue has great potential, however everything was sub- standard.
Service and food were average.
The venue was probably at 25% capacity yet had to wait nearly an hour for the food the be delivered.
When it did arrive, not much flavour at all!

The kicker? Needed to pay $1 for tomato sauce.

Great place to relax & taste the beers brewed in house. Lost a star due to the layout more than anything else.

We visited there lunch time on a couple of days on our holidays. The gentleman running the bar was fantastic to talk to, remembered us over the week and made us feel very welcome. The antipasto platter was delicious as were the other sides we had (Mainly there for the beverages). Happy hour made drinking there cheaper and we loved the atmosphere. Would recommend.

We are on holiday from Perth. Walked into this place and it's amazing. The food was awesome, service quick and very delicious.
We had the loaded parmi and the ribs and both were awesome. Best parmi I have had in I don't know when. Everything was 10/10. Thank you for a great meal

Very impressive withy the wood fire roast chicken, nice and juicy, the ginger beer is great. Easy to order, good quality and quantity. Kids eat for free on Tuesday, great family saving and family gathering in the Gold Coast areas

The food was very disappointing and not what we expected from a Squire's restaurant. The service was below average also. We had the arancini, gnocchi, and sticky date pudding. The arancini were very average and sitting in what seemed like a mushroom paste. The gnocchi was covered in the same paste and was salty and bland. Neither of us finished the gnocchi. The sticky date pudding was also strangely salty and below average in flavour. The staff seemed to be quite disengaged and that was reflected in the service we received. There were not that many people dining last night (Monday) but on leaving, we noticed tables with uncleared plates and half eaten meals also. I have not visited a Squire's since 2019 but loved the food at Charming and Squire's Landing in Sydney. We won't be back to the Lucky Squire I am sorry to say.

We are locals and have come every Tuesday (kids eat free on Tuesdays) for quite some time now. This place has an awesome vibe and very good service. We expected the usual pub food but instead were pleasantly surprised at the quality of food. The kids were recently treated with a brownie dessert that looked like it came from a fine dining restaurant. We had never had lucky squire beers before and now are big fans. Happy hour makes the prices great and the beer range is huge. Thanks guys for a fantastic place to take the family each week.

A great venue to catch up with a large group of friends. Can be a wait for food when busy. Good pub style food - the calamari was particularly good and so were the pizzas. I'm not a beer drinker but did enjoy their limited edition 'lemon myrtle pale ale'. I found the staff patient and pleasant.

Amazing service food exceptionally good and of very high standard, all staff very friendly with cheery attitudes and eager to assist, with all dietary requirements. The Chef is amazing and the Manager exceptional.Also very dog friendly. Well worth the visit, thoroughly recommend. Our go to every week. Thanks guys. Went to the Charming Squire recently in Brisbane definitely not up to the same standard in regards to food quality and customer service.

We went to the Lucky Squire early on a Saturday evening before seeing a show at HOTA. We booked a table for 4 thinking it might be busy, it wasn't, despite being late due to traffic. We were shown to our reserved table which was about the least pleasant table in the room. Because most of the other tables were free, we asked for another table and it was better. Everyone agreed that the food was good and prepared quickly after ordering. We found the drinks to be pretty expensive and I was disappointed with my drink on arrival being full of ice (on a cold night). There was a lady singing which was nice but generally the atmosphere was pretty quiet. It was OK but I don't think we will be rushing back anytime soon.

Went on a Tuesday night; it wasn't busy and the food came out quite quickly. Ended up being just over $100 for two adults and two kids under 10. The chicken parma was great. The baked chicken or whatever it was was too smokey and lacked any flavour. The two kid's steak and chips were too rare for children.

Was an amazing experience! Had Abbey look after us, service was exemplary and did nothing but impress. Food was amazing and fresh, and the drinks were amazing. Abbey has amazing knowledge of the food and drinks, and showed us a great time! Would definitely come again.

Caught up with friends on Easter Sunday for lunch. Great venue (has no idea it existed lol) with a cute outdoor area, live music and a separate dining area.

QR code to order both food and drinks. I did find the menu to not be that great but the chicken burger was bloody good and comes with chips 😀.

Nice place to have some drinks. We went here for a family birthday celebration 🍾 ??'? They were also really accommodating to us, and kept our own birthday cake in the kitchen and brought it out at the end for us.

Overpriced for terrible service. We waited 45 mins for our first order to arrive and an extra 15mins for the second order which was placed with the QR code just 2 mins apart from each other, we were told the kitchen was busy even though more than half the tables were empty.
After waiting 45 mins they brought out the entrees together with the mains!!
Then my $26 calamari salad came out incomplete, it was missing the goats cheese and it looked nothing like the photo on the menu. See the attached photo, I paid $26 for a few strips of cold calamari with what looks like the packet salad mix from Coles with soggy capsicum but was advertised as "roasted peppers".
There was only one waitress and she was nowhere to be found, I had to bring my salad to the kitchen where I found the waitress who hardly spoke english and couldn't understand what I was saying so she called the chef.
I then waited another 15 mins (a total of 1 hr 15 mins waiting time) for my salad to come back with the cheese but it still looked nothing like what was advertised. This restaurant is terribly understaffed and there is clearly no quality check.
Also they don't seem interested in the customer experience as the whole point of ordering an entree is to have something to nibble on while waiting for your main meal. We spent nearly $200 in food and drinks for a very disappointing experience. Will not return!

The place was quiet on the evening I visited. We ordered from the table via QR code and came across 60 minute wait times for each menu item we selected. It almost stopped us from ordering the food, contemplating going somewhere else. We even asked a waitress and they didn't know if it was an accurate time or not.

We chose to order food and the wait time was no more than 15 minutes. We were surprised to receive our food so fast, yet be warned it was going to take much longer. They need to get this right as many people will finish their drinks and go elsewhere to eat.

We were pleasantly surprised by the food as it was pretty good. The place was nice and it was a good experience.

Amazing service and atmosphere. Good was generous and delicious. So fresh. Highly recommend the loaded schnitzel. Best restaurant we've eaten at on the Gold Coast.

We pre booked a party of 60. After first few orders all pizza and a third of the rest of the menu was unavailable. We waited 90 minutes for food to turn up. Was very good food but as they knew such a large party would be there they were very unprepared. Alcohol quite expensive.

I have been to few squire qroup restaurants , this one would be one of less favourites. Don't get me wrong, they have a great range with beers and other drinks. Food is ok. ( they might need to change a bit if i can suggest) Overall it is great place for weekends catch up with mates

Friendly service.
Food prices do not reflect the quality we recieved.
Fried chicken wings had a strange after taste, double cheeseburger was very dry.
The pork belly was rubbish. The skin was soft and rubbery as though it had just been reheated in the microwave, absolutely not worth $35.
The cocktails were poorly mixed. The first half tasted purely of soda water and the bottom half contained all the alcohol. As the venue has no straws or cocktail sticks the only way I could stir the drink to mix it properly was with my cutlery from dinner.

The atmosphere is nice, but the food was not so great. I ordered a pizza and a platter and they were both really salty, and they added some more fresh salt on top of that. The other thing is that the service was very impersonal. I understand that Covid rules imply new systems , but At least hand me some cutlery before you bring the food over the table 😞

I booked the Lucky Squire for a work Christmas party dinner. It was super easy to organise through their events manager Vanessa and she gave us many options to choose from. On the night the staff were absolutely excellent and we had been placed on a great table outside. Would definitely book this again for a large group!

Great menu, staff helpful on what beer to try! Cocktails are awesome. Food delicious! Highly recommend the baked Camembert cheese for starters!

I recently hosted my sons 21st at The Lucky Squire and can recommend this venue. The whole night and experience was amazing. With the help of the fantastic events staff we planned a football inspired party. Nothing was too much to ask and the team went over and above to make myself and all the guests happy. The food was so good. The beer and cider always amazing and the atmosphere was excellent. Can't wait to get back there to try some of the other food they offer and work my way through the beer menu. Thank you so much. We could not be happier.

UNHAPPY HOUR

Happy Hour was advertised on the in-house video presentation up to 6:00pm so at 5:59pm the three beer drinkers in our group were standing at the bar ready to order. However "Sam" (who we later found out was the bar manager) was chatting away and having a laugh while serving another patron. When Sam was finally ready to take our order we were informed that Happy Hour was over, and despite our pointing out that we were ready to order when Happy Hour was still active Sam told us there was nothing he could do, and the till was computerized - nothing to do with him. It was very clear to everyone in our group that Sam's attitude was the problem, not the till. We are good listeners and interpreters and what we understood from Sam was "I don't care about you at all, don't value your business, and it would not bother me at all if you never came back here and wrote a one star review about your experience". Ok Sam, we heard you.

Great place, great food, great staff. Really enjoyed our experience! Super happy with everything that happened from the moment we stepped in the front door. Will return!!

It is an amazing place that you can find kinds of beer and wines.
Good atmosphere and I like the live entertainment. The staff is really nice and the food is really awesome.
You can order the food from your table with a QR code or if you prefer any recommendation, you can go to the bar.

Great vibe with delicious food and a good range of beers. Live music on a Saturday night is a nice touch as not many other venues in the area do live music. Would recommend!

Nice decor. Heaters very nice at sunset. Disappointing that you can only get the tasting paddles for the regular beer (ie the stuff you can buy at any bottle-o) and not the seasonal drops. Beer pretty expensive at $14 for a pint so only stuck to one before finding somewhere more reasonably priced to drink at.

Great service even though the venue was half shut down for a function of what appeared to be around 100 head so doing meals and drinks for the function you would think that maybe the rest of the walk in clientele may have been forgotten that was not the case here. The food was okay pub food at the best were cold.

What a wonderful evening. Food was really tasty and beautifully presented. Staff were super friendly and very efficient. Langmeil rosé is delicious and went so well with the ocean trout. We'll be back!

Thank you to Vanessa and her team for hosting us for our engagement party. The Brewer's deck is an awesome venue and we had a fantastic time celebrating with our friends and family. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it! Everyone had a good time. The Lucky Squire team were also very accomodating in helping us postpone our event earlier on. Highly reccomend the venue and team to others for functions and events.

Also I often go here for pizza because its insanely good.

Environment is nice, I was in the line for 35 minutes, ordered an alcoholic ginger beer which was nice. Also ordered a margarita, they made it with another order to make 2, the liquor was enough for making 1 Margarita so they gave a half glass Margarita, not nice. liked the environment but service was far from expectations, they need to work on it.

It took over 20 minutes waiting in huge lines to get drinks. The venue wasnt even particularly packed, there were plenty of free tables around.It is also uncomfortably noisy and cramped.They only sell beers in little pots or giant pints, a bit of a scummy move when regular schooners are the reasonable size everywhere else.The food and venue are both great; but the lines and volume will prevent us returning.

As a lover is Squire's beer, this place is heaven on earth. Had awesome service from the staff especially the duty manager, Josh. The food was great and the beer was sensational. Love this place

Great food, bartenders were smiley and happy, and very hospitable. Venue manager who approached us at entry was too busy on the phone the whole time, and disgustingly rude the when addressing us, evident that he was treating his staff with disrespect. If he treats customers this way, cant imagine how he treats his staff. Disappointing form for management from an established brewery. Would benefit from customer service lessons.

Some of the staff could get an education in customer service. What seemed to be the manager managed to refer to me as that guy while I was waiting to be served. The food was average, and all this on a Sunday night. My wife and I came back with our daughter because we enjoyed our first visit a couple of weeks previously which was for lunch on a weekday. The waitress was great and so was the food.We plan to try all the eateries in the area but we are sure we wont revisit this one.
