Had dinner there on 29/2/24,
Surf n Turf it was cooked perfect for scotch fillet, medium
rare. Sister had the Thai beef salad said it was the best.

We went on a Tues night and had a big Porterhouse steak with salad, chips and sauce for $19. It was lovely and cooked just right. Not surprisingly it was busy but service was friendly and prompt. Can't fault it and never get that type of thing in UK.

I think people are getting confused with price vs quality.
Eaten here twice now, 1st time had the butter chicken, it was very bland, small portion and the poppadum was greasy, as the oil was not hot enough. 2nd time ordered a medium well done steak, a good vet would've put it back on its feet and very very fatty.
It's a big nope from me.

Incredible value for money - paid $32 for a 500g rump steak that was cooked to medium rare perfection. Lots of pub fave meals to choose from and a cosy and quaint atmosphere. We were recommended this by the locals and it's clear to see why. Definitely recommend if you're in the area!

Just finished a delicious pub meal here. Was like yummy home cooked food from your granny. We had crumbed chicken breast with mushroom sauce, two sides of veggies and mashed potatoes. We are not big eaters and that was a perfect size meal for us to share, just needing the second serve of veggies. I can see that the servings around us are equally as big.

The food is delicious and every staff member from the first phone booking to the bar, to the servers was friendly and cheerful. Really worth a visit.

Great place but be very busy. Should you want to give it a try with a couple of guys/family/friends, please make sure to pre-book. It can be very busy, believe me. Aside that, great place to have a wonderful steak. The food tasted good and the steak was precisely cooked to my tastebuds. Staff were generally helpful. Their food catalogue was full of options and the prices were relatively reasonable. Give it a go for yourself. Oh don't forget their cheezy garlic bread too, it was just awesome!

The Hibernian hotel in Goulburn was the scene for my cousin's 60th birthday lunch on Saturday. The food was good and the company was great. A good menu with something for everyone. I thoroughly enjoyed my chicken pesto linguini which was a generous serving. I recommend trying their food if you are in the area. Staff were friendly and helpful, and we had a great get together.

Being new to town, we consulted Google for Goulburn's best pub and after reading reviews, we took the advice to ring for a reservation for dinner at The Hibo. Being a Friday evening the place was packed with a varied mix of patrons. We enjoyed a drink and then found our table. Staff were professional and friendly, even though they were run off their feet. Hubby had the lambshank and I enjoyed the lamb cutlets (which were cooked to perfection). We will be back.

This pub was a great referral from our motel where we were staying. The meals are well priced and delicious. Bar staff very efficient as were basically all the staff. Would thoroughly recommend a meal here.

Great bar and wait staff. Good crowd. Nice cold beer on tap with a good range of wine and spirits. Do yourself a favour and get the shanks, your taste buds will thank me for it. ???

An excellent venue for a Friday family meal. My steak was cooked exactly how I asked for it. My wife loved her chicken salad and the boy loved his schnitzel and chips. Plus desert, yum. Couldn't ask for more.

My experience travelling through regional locations has generally resulted in mostly sub standard meals so naturally, I wasn't expecting what I experienced.
Fair to say, it exceeded any expectation - this place was quality!

I enjoyed the 500 gram Rump Steak driving past from Sydney, and indulged in the 300 gram Eye Fillet travelling back home. Steak was cooked perfectly as requested. The onion rings were also a hit, thoroughly enjoyed them.
Only preference really but I'd prefer if the bacon in the cheese & bacon loaf was a little more charred otherwise, I definitely enjoyed my dining experience here & will stop here any time I'm in Goulburn for a feed.

I got a vegetarian burger and it was a decent size- with standard veggie patty and salads, and a side of chips. Wasn't too bad. The servers were friendly. There were a couple other vegetarian options like pizza and pasta, and some entrees/ sides.

Love this pub. Great atmosphere. Food is mostly on point but was a little disappointing this time round. One meal, superb, the other, not quite cooked right (eye fillet closer to well done rather than the medium rare we asked for).

Extensive menu selection and everything we have tried has been delicious. We particularly loved the crumbed lamb cutlets. Drinks are at pub prices.

Came in for a quick feed and was not disappointed. The service was fantastic and the rump was sensational. Garlic sauce to die for. I can't wait to come back for another feed.

Visited for dinner. Best steak I think I have had. Nice old fashioned pub with plenty of screens for entertainment and a separate bistro area. Friendly staff. A $10 minimum purchase for EFTPOS is a pain however, so take some cash.

Ordered 300g ramp when I got it about 5 mm thick more like styrak for steak sandwich. Very dissatisfied. Chips Luke warm and steak on top of salad. Maybe made the wrong choice of food. Atmosphere good

The several times I attended this place it was always buzzing ,people dining in and eating those having a drink and a punt in the other areas and it's a fantastic place for families, couples, group gatherings whatever the occasion.
The Food is on point, priced well always generous portion sizes and delicious, the staff behind the counter of the Bar and Food service are always polite with friendly smiles and when I'm back in town this will be the place I'll frequent.

Ordered a couple of steaks at 12:30 and they were finally ready 40 minutes later! The steaks themselves were very tender but both were overcooked. The salad was a bit sad & the chips seem to have been rationed there were so few of them.

Great atmosphere and beautiful dinner. My wife and I had surf and turf - perfectly cooked and the steak was tender. Our daughter had seafood crepe and said it was delicious. Highly recommend for dinner.

Stopped at the Hibernian pub on the way back from the snow and was lucky enough to hit Tuesday steak night. After 3 days in the snow this was by far the best meal of the trip. Steak was perfectly cooked, super quick once ordered and generally a great atmosphere.

If you want a friendly atmosphere and having a yarn YEP THIS IS THE PLACE. Luv fun or a beer or two CHEERS

Had an excellent meal (Fillet Mignon) last Saturday night. There was live music and the atmosphere was terrific. The staff were friendly. Would definitely visit again.

A great place for a drink and a meal. The bar areas are relatively small; if they got rid of the gambling den, then there would be more room for bands and dance, some more pool tables, more dining.
Gambling machines destroys the pub.

Salt n Pepper squid was so tender and tasty. Tandoori Chicken burger was packed with flavour. The sweet potato wedges were spot on ??'???'?.
Extremely reasonable prices on mains and a $15 lunch special or daily specials board on offer.
Oh ... And the graphic in the men's room was quite cheeky.

Only 1 vegetarian option and when we asked to give feedback to the kitchen for some extra vegetarian options the waitress responded "We're a steak pub, get the salad and take out the meat if you'd like something else" in a rude manner. It's common knowledge that all Australian pubs serve Steak and Schnitzel, however vegetarian and vegan diets are becoming more popular and this pub needs to adapt to this with at least 2 more options and a better attitude.

I love this place. Meals are fantastic. Especially the crumbed steak.

Great place to have a meal when you stop over or visit Goulburn. Amazing food and customer service. It is my plave to eat when I am in Goulburn.
