My partner and l frequent the full moon hotel quite regularly with our dogs for a meal. We travel from MT Glorious because we enjoy the service, food and location. Today however, has been a different case! We decided to drive to the Full Moon for lunch with the dogs as my partner has just returned from Deployment. On the numerous occasions we have dined at the Full Moon with the dogs we have always been seated outside on the walkway without any issues. We arrived today at 1310 and noted a table was free, I went inside and spoke to a male waiter who informed me the table was free and I sat down and waited for my partner to join me! All other tables were taken and I was looking forward to a nice lunch. My partner sat at the table with the two small dogs when a waitress came outside with another couple and stated the area was not dog friendly and the only tables which were dog friendly were tables 26 - 28 (which were all filled by people without dogs)! We were moved on without any real explanation that policies had changed from our last visit and the couple accompanying the waitress were seated. The reason for the review is because I felt very disrespected in both the manner and tone on which I was spoken to. It appeared that the female waitress had already allocated the table to the couple she had with her and moved us on! This left us in a quandary as we were left just looking quite foolish and rejected!!! I do believe if the policy has changed and you only have a few table for dogs this needs to be sign posted! Your waiting staff need to be trained on how to deal with such a case and maybe look to offering a possible solution. It is a shame this has happened because a visit to the Full Moon was always a nice casual affair!!

First time and my partner and I had an amazing experience with delicious salmon and barramundi! OMG one of the best meals in Australia, with great customer service. Congrats, Chef. The food was incredible!!

Beautiful venue, the location is amazing and the service is excellent. The menu has great choices and the food was delicious. I will be back with my family . Highly recommended.

I've been to the Full Moon Hotel numerous times and each time it's been an enjoyable experience. My family and I had lunch there on Sunday and it was faultless. We arrived 30 minutes early for our reservation but the polite host without any bother made our table available to us. The food and service from then on was top shelf. We were able to see the water from our table which made the experience even better!

A massive thank you to all the staff working on the 13/06/2024. Friendly Gabby who was swift at the counter, Verona and Lucy at the cafe for keeping my mother-in-law happy with the excellent coffee making skills. The staff and service I cannot fault. You do not feel rushed, the food is hot, delicious and the price is reasonable. The views and ambience is beautiful. We sat in the kids area and the kids and adults loved it. Special thanks to Ivan and Aimee for being ever so welcoming. Today we celebrated my daughters 3rd birthday. Thank you for making it special Lucy.

Good food. However, our family were given an outside table on a 36 degree day, despite being a member and making a booking in advance. Disappoint since dogs were given favorable tables over the children. Also the credit card surcharge was quite high and not disclosed at the check out. Wish I paid cash.

I have been to this hotel on many occasions for lunch. I live on the Gold Coast so it's a fair hike. The food has always been top notch. Last Saturday I had Mangrove Jack to my surprise as this is a very elusive fish to catch. Even though it a premium seafood I very disappointed as it was dry and tasteless. In all fairness to management they offered a replacement or refund. I took the latter as I would assume that the fish would have been a batch lot. My partner had the lasagne and that had clearly been over cooked. As they say " everyone has their days" so I'm not giving up on the Full Moon. Will give it another go in the next few weeks and hopefully we won't get the same chef.

Great food at great prices
Vegan options are good and very good to see they have lots of options for vegans. My favourite is the garlic & spinach bread with vegan cheese ( think you have to ask for this to be changed)
I also had my 40th birthday party here and the room was nice and food served was lovely. Great staff and amazing location

My family went along to the Full Moon tonight for a birthday dinner some meals arrived early and others had to be followed up. My meal and my sons was great. The menu could be changed some as well. I would like to pass on my appreciation to staff member Dean who waited on our table most of the night and he did an excellent job if you can pass this on for him. Tables cleared away efficiently which is another place as some places dont. Thanks for a great night Full Moon.

So we dropped in here while we were showing a mate from Poland around where I'm living these days. I'd heard good reports about the full moon so thought let's go here great view great craft beer and great food my friend had never eaten Sweat potato chips before and for the record neither had I they where fantastic we just had three entrees more than enough can't wait to try other things and more craft beers

We visited for a quick meal before a show at the entertainment centre a couple of months ago. Life gets busy so this review is late in being posted but I can say I still think about the amazing roasted barramundi fillet in a coconut cream curry sauce.... YUM! My partner had the Texas style brisket sandwich, which he also really enjoyed. As we were there for dinner, we couldn't appreciate the views out the window but the venue has a great mix of tables and chairs for different types of visitors whether just there for a couple drinks and chit chat to both formal and informal table settings. Definitely will return when we're back in the area

Very accessible for wheelchair users. Thank you for making our Monday lunch a wonderful and easy experience. At table app ordering is easy. The Maitre d was super accomodating and he moved the chairs out of our way before we even arrived for our reservation. This is a huge help for wheelchair users as we don't have to turn up and awkwardly move furniture around!

Must be a new venue. Was very busy when visited during lunch time. Very clean. Very friendly patrons and staff. Nice clean medium size pokie room. Decent selection of machines. Nice location. But parking was difficult due to numbers there..

Had a booking in the bistro and was not allowed entry as one of our guests did not have ID. Was happy to sit and eat without ordering drinks but still refused entry. Was advised that house policy trumps law and if that is so please update your website and notify bookings prior to online bookings. Do not attend.

We used the conference facilities upstairs. The room was more than adequate. The view was amazing.
The team were friendly and accommodating. Lunch was delicious!

Looked for a last minute place to have a drink and some food while in the area. Did not disappoint! Service was excellent, great prices and food was fresh and delicious. Plenty of parking around the back.

The Full Moon will always be The Osborne to this Sandgate boy. One of the best locations anywhere. Food and drinks are fine. Doesn't seem to be the regular entertainment associated with the Osborne. Many local musical outfits used to be a big part of the vibe.

Had a fantastic dinner here tonight, the salmon with risotto, asparagus and pickled onion was delicious. Everything was cooked well and the balance of textures and flavours was awesome! My partner had the seafood linguine and he loved that too. Apparently the kids pizza got a 9.75 out of 10 😁

Great pub food with lots of options for dietary challenges. Shout out to the service staff, especially Jess the manager on duty during our visit. Jess accommodated all our requests and went above and beyond on a meal that we forgot to order and it arrived very quickly from the kitchen. Good wine selection and prices are very reasonable.

Lovely venue nestled high on the hill overlooking Moreton Bay. Big glass windows with Bay views makes the place look open and spacious. First visit and place had a fresh welcolming feel..

The Full Moon Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way possible! I had the pleasure of ordering their medium rare sirloin steak, which was priced at a reasonable $39. To my surprise, the staff was more than happy to accommodate my request for chips and mash on the side, which was not standard on the menu.

When my meal arrived, I was blown away by the presentation and taste of the food. The 300g steak was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful, and I couldn't find a single fault with it. The chips were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, while the mashed potato was elegantly placed on the plate.

Every bite of the steak was a heavenly experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious meal. The Full Moon Hotel has set the bar high when it comes to quality food and exceptional service.

Perfect setting if you're lucky to get a table overlooking the ocean - I would like to see more flexibility with how tables are being used. Appears they are reserved hours before people arrive whereas we could have had one of the tables with a view eaten & gone. Always enjoy the sweet potato fries & margarita when stopping in for a quick bite. Other times have enjoyed seafood dishes with good service.

Was very happy with the location and the service, and the inside of the restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated. The food overall was an 8/10. The open nature of the restaurant does mean that it gets quite noisy though when it's busy. I'll be back :)

We had the Monday lunch special which was the steak meal. It was lovely except our steak could have been cooked maybe 1min longer. My salad was amazing, fresh. Its been awhile and I am loving the new upgrade. Plenty of space, indoor outdoor vibes. Friendly service. Also able to order from table.

Highly recommend! We had a lovely Monday lunch ordering the market fish of the day (sensational by the way!) The beef burger and the rump Monday special. We were incredibly impressed with the service, food and atmosphere. We will be back!

It has been a while since I was in this part of town and we paid an impromptu visit to The Full Moon today for a drink after a long walk around the Sandgate district. I loved the renovations and fresh looks. The atmosphere was alive with solo artist playing guitar, busy but still relaxed and I enjoyed my fish of day chef's special whilst my partner loved her seafood linguine.

Amazing food. My husband had the steak, I had the pork belly and Asian salad. Both meats were so tender and juicy. The oysters were fresh. Overall a very delicious dinner.

A couple of weeks ago we booked a table for 6 but there was 8 of us our fault, we asked the manager if he could add another table to give us some extra room. The best he could do was to give us 2 extra chairs. The 2 tables behind us were empty all night!!

Superb place to enjoy a midweek dinner. Not too busy, fast service, decent size meals and dessert. Staff are always friendly. Open spaces to sit and eat and has a great view before dark. Also great selection of beer on tap

We just ordered dinner for all 4 of us tonight and I have to say everything was amazing! My pork belly salad was perfect, the pizza was amazing! The whole family kept raving how great and fresh everything was! Great job Full Moon Hotel ??'???'???'?

Lovely food as usual. We come here each year for Mothers Day. Everyone enjoyed their meals and time here. Raffles and live band playing as well.

The food and facilities was excellent. The only problem we encountered that night was the banking EFTPOS system failed Australia wide and then everyone was required to use cash only. This caused line ups at the ATM during our visit. But this issue was in no way the fault of anything within the control of staff, Managers or Owners of the Full Moon Hotel. But I will reiterate that the food was great, cooked properly, hot, tasted great. The staff were friendly, efficient and catered to our needs very well.

Service was extremely slow. Fish and chips with a pizza and extra chips for $115.$10.20 for a beer and now checking bank statements was charged between $10.20 and $13.50. Such a great place but will never go back there. The staff are lovely people. Went next door to the bottle and purchased nothing as the carton of beer was $18 dearer then Dan Murphy.

A delightful spot overlooking the Bay right over to Redcliffe. Open, breezy and relaxed setting. Food is better than standard pub food and service is friendly and helpful. Book ahead to get a table outside- it's worth it. A good lunch experience.

I haven't been to the FMH in many years, but it's as good, if not better than I remember.The location is fantastic, the lunch we had was delicious, came out super fast and was priced well.It was a Sunday, so very busy, so book a table.Service was friendly and fast, we loved it, and will be back very soon.Thank you.
