Overall a poor experience. We had called weeks before to booking online to confirm if we could have a late checkout as that was one of the main reasons for booking with Sydney Boulevard Hotel. Upon check-in on the day, we checked with the concierge to once again reconfirm if our late checkout. We were told that was not recorded there in addition to our breakfast included package. Moments later the concierge corrected himself and was able to confirm both were available.
We went up to the hotel room and noted that it was an adjoining room. The next door guests were easily heard through the adjoining door. The overall cleanliness of the room was below average. We noted our room also had no bottled water. The rooms' clothes iron had ruined my business shirt because there were calcium deposits stuck inside the iron. When using the water spraying function of the clothes iron, it purged the old, burnt calcium deposits onto my shirt when ironing.
On the day of the check out we were called by the Concierge at ~11.30am if we were checking out yet. We said that we had already discussed this twice previously, to checkout at 1pm. At ~12.10pm, housekeeping had entered our room despite there being a Do Not Disturb sign on the door handle. Again, for the fourth time I explained that I had already asked for a late checkout.
