First time visiting this big pub, painted white and close to Mordialloc Beach. Huge bistro area and separate sports bar. With so many patrons, the bistro can get noisy. Wait staff are friendly and food orders are taken at the table which is nice. The menu is quite extensive and on the high side and on this occasion the quality of my meal didn' warrant being so expensive. The battered fish was ok but the chips were not crispy or taste like they were freshly cooked and definitely not at all good at around $40 a plate. I wouldn't rush back.

I've been to the Bridge for many different occasions - beers with mates in public bar, Fathers Day lunch, dinner with family, birthday parties - and on every occasion we are met with friendly service, fabulous food quality and choice, ice cold beer and a wide variety of choice of areas to sit.
Public Bar - well laid out and light. Good sized bar and well managed.
Bistro - perfect for a larger table and a good winter lunch.
Cafe (indoor/outdoor terrace) - sensational location for a sunny day, watching the boats and taking in the sea air. Also brilliant cocktail list!
Congrats to the management team for bringing this wonderful location back to life!

Loved our lunch here on Saturday. All of the staff running our table were welcoming and lovely - especially for bringing out a little colouring book for the toddler of the table. Small gesture, but it was so appreciated.

Food was great! I got the Parma and it was refreshing to see a substantial side salad, with chunky feta and seasoned well.

Been to the restaurant quite a few times, good view when dining outside in a sunny winter day. The waitstaff exude a level of professionalism that enhances the dining experience.
The culinary creations showcase the chef's mastery. Each dish is a symphony of flavors, carefully crafted and executed to perfection. From succulent seafood to tender meats, the chef knows how to coax out the true essence of each ingredient.

Today four of us went to lunch at The Bridge Hotel at Mordialloc.
The setting was magnificent, as we were outside on the deck overlooking the little harbour and the sunny weather all helped the ambiance.
Unfortunately there was an issue with our food order, however the manager, Chloe stepped right in explained the issue and how she proposed to fix it.
She handled it magnificently and left us in no doubt she was on top of the problem and her customers were going to leave with a pleasant experience.
And we did, great food, fabulous setting and brilliant staff ... a great lunch!
We will be back!

This pub was in a great location right on the canal with a beautiful outdoor seating area. Our server Hayden in the Bistro was prompt, helpful and hilarious. Food portions were quite large and good value for money. Will definitely be back!

first time on the deck... beautiful view and area on a day which was lovely weather wise. Our meals were fantastic .... I had the roast vegetable fettuccine... just delicious. My mocktail also fabulous as was the coffee! Very attentive staff .... Worth every cent! Thank you

Fabulous day there with a large group of friends indoors. Views lovely, prices standard for 2023. There was plenty of space around our very long table that sat 20 people well, The staff were very pleasant. We were in the room closest to the river this day and not the Bistro area. Ladies toilets are down a lot of stairs, this may bother some people. Overall, it was a very nice experience. The food was enjoyable for most of us as well.

We had a private event on 08.12.23, and I was impressed with everything. The food was perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Pork Belly entree (very generous serving) and roast lamb (meat perfectly cooked) and again a generous serving was delicious. I couldn't stay for dessert but I'm sure no doubt was lovely. The staff were super professional and attentive, well done!!

Great spot with beautiful terrace.
The food is good, nothing that stands out particularly. We had the sliders for entree (really nice), I had seafood linguine (which had a good amount of seafood and the pasta was well cooked), my partner had the rib-eye (unfortunately not great, dry and a bit over cooked)
The service could be better, but it was very busy and the staff was running around and doing their best.
The location is great and the band that was playing (Dacy Band) was amazing and added perfect vibes!

Tasty meal, good serving size, as well as having good variety available. Friendly staff & nice atmosphere in the restaurant. On a beautiful day, the outside sesting area is beautiful.

Review for the bistro. Food was very good, but a little pricey for the size of the meals. I had a chicken parm, which was small, compared to others l have had, and was a bit light on for salad and chips. They did make a mistake for bringing the entree out with the mains, but apologised. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our waitress, Molly, was very good and would definitely come back.

Beautiful restaurant in a lovely location just off the beach. You can see boats bobbing in the water. They were happy to replace my meal and offer a free drink when I wasn't happy and were sure to check in on me. I would recommend this restaurant.

Haven't been to the bridge in years, and went spontaneously with my partner. What a great place for a meal with a cosy setting. The view is inviting, and dining area very relaxed with taste. Meals were beautiful and the staff were overly helpful. We ordered grazing plate and roast of the day, and were just wrapped. There were many a pleasant mouthful on both plates. Wine selection accompanied well and we simply couldn't have been more satisfied.
Recommend you call as went to boom online and said no availability. Staff had no problem getting us in however. Maybe an issue with the online booking system.
Anyway, highly recommended place for atmosphere and yum food!

Was a little skeptical of this place after reading the reviews, however I'm glad I came to try it out.

The service was fantastic. Staff are lovely, food came out very quick and tasted great!! Although no one was sitting on the terrace, the outdoor heaters were on which was inviting.

The only let down was the price of every meal. I personally find $21 for a Calamari expensive. $34 for Gnocci is what is expect to pay at an authentic Italian restaurant, not at the local hotel.

The menu is full of typical items you'd find at any standard restaurant, and there may be an opportunity to focus more on seafood items given the location.

I would definitely return again, likely only for special occasions given the price.

Always happy to try a new place. Who knows if might be really good. And with that risk in mind, it's always difficult to identify whether a menu in front of you is fairly priced and/ or the food is great. I guess you place an order hoping for value.

But when you get charged $41 for some chips, three small pieces of battered fish and a 1970s style salad, I think it's fair to feel ripped off. Refer photo (I'd already eaten the chips). In a city that prides itself on great food this was more than a little disappointing.

Furthermore when you're paying $15 per glass of wine, it's not a cheap meal overall. And it's Mordialloc, not the CBD !

On reflection, it would not have cost the restaurant that much more to add another small piece of fish to the portion size. That might have made the difference between happy or not. Honestly I feel my trust has been misplaced. Restaurants need repeat business to survive and going forward we will eat somewhere else. It'll likely be a better overall experience.

Service was good.

Our lunch catch-up was hugely enjoyable due mostly to the charming wait staff, who were friendly, attentive and professional. These two young women and a third young guy were all terrific. Our prawn ravioli was delicious. Will definitely repeat in future. Thanks everyone.

Staff were lovely in the bistro but the food was way overpriced for what was served up. The pulled pork pizza special ($34) was more base than anything else and the "coleslaw" consisted of some grated carrot. Kids meal was also expensive for some pasta and sauce ($17). Won't be rushing back here.

We had dinner here after the beach with some friends, and the cocktails and food were amazing. Kids also enjoyed their pasta and pizza. The serving was very good. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Dinner for two.
1. Roast of the day was lovely. No problems at all.
2. Pasta marinara was terrible. The marinara was all in the shells and soaked in oil. It was greasy and oil in the bottom of the plate.

The food however is not good. Brisket Burger was super sweet. Very cheap and processed tasting. The Thai chicken cup tapas was also not good. Flavourless chicken covered in fish sauce. Left both.

The Bistro - Our absolute favourite place to come for lunch or dinner. In the past we have found the service to be poor , but over the last couple of months it has been amazing. Food was superb , including flathead fillets , steak , Greek lamb salad and pumpkin soup - all amazing ! Special thanks to Roxy , Barb and our waiter Harry for a great experience today - we will be back !

Have been to the bridge a few times. Lovely views and ambiance. We had the seafood platter the last time we were there. It's definitely not cheap, but the quality wasn't quite there. Everything is cooked so no fresh oysters etc. felt that a lot of the seafood was overdone and a bit bland.

Incredible location with beautiful vistas. Food was incredible, service was friendly & helpful. We arrived around 7pm on a Saturday night & still managed to get a table/- but I suggest booking unless you're like me & like living on the edge 🤪. I recommend allowing enough time to check out the boats & also the pier. It's a great after dinner (& very romantic) walk/ stroll .. 🏆🥇

Booking for Thursday lunch was a good idea because the bistro is certainly popular and now we know why. Service was excellent and our food was great. Two of us ordered the Tuscan Lamb Rump - juicy, tender, full of flavour and just a touch of pink. Broccolini with mashed and gravy made for an excellent winter warmer lunch. Our other mate ordered the Chicken Parmigiana and he couldn't finish it. Prices are average but the service and food make the difference.

We had breakfast at their Cafe today and it was amazing! I had scrambled eggs, bacon and tomato. The bacon was delicious and cooked perfectly. The tomato was sweet and also cooked perfectly. The eggs were yummy! Coffee was great too! The staff were lovely. I highly recommend the Cafe! I will be going back for sure!

Fish so fresh batter and portion size perfectly cook. after I kept telling everyone go there for fish n chips.

We were a bit hesitant about the restaurant after reading some recent reviews but our lunches were great, especially since two of us were able to use the Seniors menu! This made the prices reasonable whereas the full prices were rather excessive. The brisket was beautifully slow cooked, perfect. The grilled fish was well cooked and not at all greasy. The chips were standard but fine. There was a bit of a wait for drinks but the staff were extremely friendly and helpful despite being busy.

Really enjoy Doyles for a lovely dinner, and superb service. We come he for special occasions to have the Shared Seafood Platter. It's delicious.

Fab pub with great food. Ate in the Bistro overlooking the beautiful water and boats. Roaring fire. Ordered from the tapas menu; field mushrooms, pork belly, risotto balls and prawn cutlets. All were delicious. Recommended.

Fabulous time at Doyles for my mothers surprise 81st birthday. Service great. 12 of us welcomed by friendly staff at door. The great service continued through the night particularly by Ryan and the other wait staff, which is always difficult with a big crowd. Meals spot on and came out quickly and all together. Regulars for over 8 years. Food and experience was excellent! So glad they are back to their usual best, and can only get better with COVID restrictions easing and the warmer weather giving access to their lovely deck!
