The artistic decor of this place is good. A high ceiling with a lot of artwork makes it different to all the other restaurants in the CBD. The food was good too. The lunch time special was reasonable for the ambience. Centrally located very close to QVB and Town Hall station.

Title: A Disastrous Dining Experience

Review:

I recently had the misfortune of dining at the Art house hotel.

Firstly, I ordered the duck breast salad, hoping for a flavorful and well-cooked dish. However, to my dismay, the duck breast was severely undercooked. It was raw in the middle, making it practically inedible. I couldn't believe that such a basic culinary mistake could occur in a supposedly reputable restaurant.

If that wasn't enough, our order for sake was met with utter incompetence. We placed the order, only to be informed just two minutes later that they couldn't find it. It was a clear indication of poor organization and lack of attention to detail on the part of the staff. This incident not only wasted our time but also left us feeling frustrated and let down.

As if these issues weren't bad enough, the final blow came when we discovered a metal scourer inside the Singapore noodles. This not only posed a serious health risk but also highlighted a severe lack of hygiene and quality control in the kitchen. It's absolutely unacceptable for a restaurant to serve food that contains foreign objects like this.

Overall, my experience at the Arthouse hotel was abysmal. The combination of undercooked food, disorganized service, and the presence of a metal scourer in the food left me questioning how this establishment is still in business. It is evident that there are serious issues with the kitchen operations, staff training, and quality control.

I strongly advise anyone considering dining at [Restaurant Name] to think twice before doing so. With such glaring flaws in their food preparation and service, it's hard to imagine how they can maintain a loyal customer base. Save your money and your taste buds for a restaurant that takes pride in delivering a quality dining experience, as this one clearly falls short.

Great, friendly atmosphere. Staff are extremely helpful and approachable. Very clean establishment. Food was absolutely delicious ?. We had the huge schnitzel, burger and crunchy fries special on a Monday. Should have stayed for the life drawing at 5.00pm...maybe next time for sure!!!

Was here for a corporate Christmas event. It had a beautiful interior. Good vibes. Although the food was slow to come out and not served the same on both floors.

We had a catered event on the 4th floor. Alot of stairs to climb as the lift was not well sign posted. The 4th floor room is moody and dark, and anchored by some old photos and a bar. The canapes ordered were substantial and delicious. The men's toilets could do with more maintenance cleaning.

Pretty disappointing lunch.
Two steak sandwiches orders at $26 each.
Mine arrived with the amount of steak below. My colleagues totally fine.
Asked them to take as look and a member of staff responded with " not my fault, thats normal".
Decide to get a refund.
Shame as I quite the bar area.

Had drinks during and before happy hour. The server at the bar had a hard time comprehending my order of gin and soda. Kept repeating the words.
Luckily another person served us the next order.
Definitely visit them in happy hour.

Went on a Thursday evening and encountered a massive after-work crowd, but the staff, the people-watching, the selection of wines and tap beers, and the live music (amazing acoustic singer whose name I forgot) made it a really enjoyable experience. Thanks, team!

Beautiful building with lovely decor. A truly amazing atmosphere. The staff are ok, not exactly helpful, they never answer the phone, not even the reservation line.

Nice deco, upscale pub, convenient location for after work drinks in the city. Also host art glasses. Standard food fare.

Not a bad place to come for some after work drinks. The food upstairs at Artasian is quite good, although a bit pricey. Good if the company is paying, but I don't know if I'd skip Haymarket for this. The drink vibes are pretty solid - nice selection of beers with a mix of basic beers and crafty choices. Espresso martinis on point.

We were there Saturday night, it was empty, only 5-7 visitors, I guess it gets more crowded during week nights.
The interior was great, we had a beer and wine and kept walking.

Excellent ambiance and lighting, a simple bar with a corporate-y feel. Trying to be artistic-theme, the place feels wide and secluded from the Town Hall rush.

Nice place to catch a couple beers with your mates.

Beautiful venue with a big imposing open bar. Finishes are great but from there it's all a bit middle of the road. Food's ok but not great. Beers are mostly in tins and if you ask for a glass they pour it into a pint glass. Steak roll served with a butter knife not a steak knife. Service is efficient but not friendly or even warm. A venue where a little direction and purpose will turn a three star experience into a five star experience.

What a great experience. Drink beer and draw naked people. There is no final exam, take your charcoal and your pad and enjoy the ambience. Last time I checked it was $7.00 for entry every Monday night from 6pm until 9:30pm (approx). Not being an art school graduate my first life drawing experience was awkward in the sense that I was self conscious in regards to my life drawing ability. It doesn't matter. Any level, any experience or zero experience you find a seat, but a beer and simply enjoy creating a personal life drawing catalogue. I think it's a great idea for a second Tinder date. It opens up the conversation and if you go with a date match I think it gives you the upper hand in the unique dating stakes. This review is preciously about the Art House hotel on Pitt Street Sydney not the hotel as a whole. Though I have had enough beers at the Art House Hotel to recommend it as a worthy drinking hole. The building that the Art House Hotel resides has a great history in Sydney. The building was in the early days of the 20th century as a centre for the understanding of Australia's First Nation Peoples. If in Sydney make sure you experience the Monday night life drawing. Experience public nudity (life drawing) create and drink beer. Awesome.

We booked the attic for our daughter's 21st. A wonderful, atmospheric, good value venue with soaring ceiling, eye-catching wall art, private bar and relaxed vibe. A little hard to find at first, but staff helped with signs etc. Some confusion due to a communication issue on the night but all in all a good venue for a party.

Slowest, least motivated bar staff I have ever seen. We went in at 7pm this evening, it wasn't even busy. We had to wait at the bar for over 10 mins while they served people at a snails pace. The entire time, the manager was stood right there polishing glasses...did not even look up or register that at least 5 people were stood at the bar waiting for drinks with tired looks on their faces. Serve the customers before Doug the glasses guys!

I feel very comfortable being at the hotel and have visited it alone and with mates as well, it seems to be popular with office goers and couples.

Customer service is excellent. The last time I was there, I noticed some female gym goers were there catching up and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Update DEC2020Few customers since the onset of the Wuhan Flu. Basic 'pub grub' - burgers, schnitzel and the like. Quite a good selection of lagers and IPA on tap. Surcharge for use of credit card.Origional ReviewPopular with inner City workers at lunchtimes and early evening after work. Normal pub grub menu - nothing special. Good range of keg beers. Efficient bar service.
