Our family each had one of the 15 dollar meals. Great value for money, and everyone enjoyed their meal.

Elena is absolutely magnificent, we had an absolute emergency and she handled it with calm and empathy. We sorted the problem out and luckily avoided an escalation

Checked in today, 2nd stay, upgraded room. Extremely friendly staff. Food was fantastic pub food 10/10. Room very clean and extremely good value for money.

I strongly regret my recent experience with this establishment - a solid 0/10 rating would be generous.

My family and I were visiting from Sydney, hoping for a pleasant pub meal. Unfortunately, we were immediately met with astounding arrogance and laziness by the bartender named Stacy. We were willing to give her the benefit of the doubt, assuming she might be having a rough day. We quietly took our seats and examined the menu.

My clearly-of-age daughter approached the bar to order three sodas and one red Fanta, explicitly stating, "NO ALCOHOL." Shockingly, Stacy demanded her ID. Despite my daughter's compliance and attempts to show her identification through the RMS app, Stacy continued to refuse service and, incredibly, resorted to name-calling and even spat at my daughter.

Observing this appalling behavior, I promptly gathered my family and left. We opted for the delightful restaurant down the street, where we enjoyed a much more pleasant dining experience. Avoid this establishment at all costs!

Rooms are ordinary, tiny, but have hearing/cooling and tvs.

My husband and I ordered the pork and fennel bangers and mash and there 500g strip loin...

Clean, modern rooms with comfortable beds! Plenty of bathroom facilities so it didn't even feel like it was shared facilities! Lovely staff also!

Imagine a hostel with beds rather than bunk beds, above a pub!
The shared bathrooms were pretty grimy to be honest, to the point I chose not to use them.
The room was tidy, but was stinking hot when we arrived and the complimentary bottled water was also super warm!
The room also had an old cigarette musk to it.
Kettle and coffee provided, no tea though.
The service was good and friendly.
Parking is available and apparently under CCTV surveillance.

Probably won't return unless no other option! It was our only option for a quick stop as we passed though.

Just dropped in for some lunch . Friendly, greeted when you approached the bar , good food . They cater for the kids . Toilets were clean, plenty of all the accessories needed in the toilet were available. You won't go wrong stopping here .

Solid pub food at a very affordable price. The service was friendly and the portion size was generous.

Room was terrible and very noisy. The people who stayed there as well as the main road. Didn't help that the window could not be closed properly.

More of a drink and gamble pub.

Was on a rare solo visit to the Highlands for work and originally dropped into the Sutton forest in (DO NOT BOTHER!).
Bartender was friendly and honest, bistro was fast and the schnitzel was a monster and delicious!!
If your in the Highlands and a fat pig like me, get there!

Bunch of thieves! Left my toiletries there called to get them sent to me, denied I left them behind! Smelly cold room, very dated! Noisy all night, arguments in the corridor outside my room. Had to leave via the fire escape the next morning, A Brawl with 5 people in the pub while trying to have a quiet wine by the fire, absolutely dreadful experience

We randomly came here to get out the rain, and from a caravan park with no camp kitchen!

I've had quite a few snitties and this was the BEST one, ever! Apparently they are handmade and better yet they use panko crumbs. Gravy, top notch. House wine, delicious. Staff patient and helpful

The service here is amazing. The licencee Taylor made myself and my friend feel so welcome. The bar staff Nikita and Layne are also worthy of a mention. And the food!!! Wow. Lee,Jess and Matthias thank you for my amazing Ceaser Salad. Best in the highlands

Had their $12.00 lunch (Schnitzel,chips, coleslaw and the best Mushroom gravy I have ever had and it was absolutely delicious and my friend had their fish and chips and coleslaw she also loved her meal.

Went to eat on a Thursday. Tried the nachos and the Texan. Great combo, tasty and served fresh. The deal was parmi beer or wine. Highly recommended.

Amazing food! Steak cooked perfectly and the best mushroom sauce I've ever had. Service was on point and and served in good time.

Budget hotel. Rooms freshly painted and clean. Bed comfy with crisp, white linen. Bottled water, biscuits and tea/coffee were welcome. Shared bathrooms were modern but could do with more cleaning, especially throughout the night.

This is an older pub but damn! The bed was clean and very comfy. The room was a little short. I did have to shuffle carefully hugging the wall. Yes, they were shared bathrooms but we did not meet up with anyone in the dorm. The Bistro served a mean steak with good tasting sauces. Again, a good place to stay.

Did not enjoy the stay. The bed collapsed and we were given the option to stay in a smaller room that had dirty and old bed covers. We chose to stay in the original room with the collapsed bed. The toilets and bathroom were dirty and there were not enough toilets. Not at all suitable for a couple or a family. More suitable for a drunken single man for a night. Never returning. Not even worth one star.

I go to the bottle shop not the pub. But the young lady there with the glasses is one of the nicest staff members ive encountered there. She always has a big smile on her face and is extremely welcoming. Happy to help me with cartons to my car and very polite. I always enjoy coming in and seeing her smile.

It is a very old building with lovely woodwork. Renovations to upstairs and rooms looked half done. Showers were shared, not so clean. My sons bed collapsed during the night and he put the mattress on the floor. On telling the staff, they were very apologetic and said we should have come downstairs and the would have moved us. They offered a refund of nights room cost. Over all enjoyed the meal in the bar it was delicious.

Modern comfortable rooms, very clean, some bathrooms need to be modernised and some extra attention in cleaning. Very good food with generous serving value for money . Fans in double bedded room not sure if any of the rooms have air-conditioning very friendly and helpful staff but in general great beer is cold and a great choice. Would deserve 5 stars if rooms had a mini fridge and bathroom/shower was updated, and room had clothes closet but the beds

The food here is quite good value, tasty and fresh with excellent homemade coleslaw.I can't fault the staff...they were friendly, outgoing and fast serviceI was staying here whilst working away. The rooms upstairs have been renovated...clean & fresh paint - carpet. But there is still more to do upstairs, like having a fridge in the room, or a communal kitchen. Microwave not available either.
