Held a function and service was disgusting. Plates stayed on table for ages after we finished the meal. We ended up clearing the table ourselves. I had cutlets that were dry, salad with one piece of tomato and one piece of cucumber and no dressing.Gave us paper plates and wooden spoons for celebratory birthday! Will definitely not return.

First time lawn bowling, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Would recommend even for first timers!

The menu was vast, very easy to get lost in it. The food was okay, I ordered a schnitzel, which was dry and hard, but edible with gravy. The kids had a flavourless burger. Dumplings were great, Mongolian lamb was yum, and the short combination soup was good.

Great local club. Good value fresh food. All meals are good. Meat raffles and trivia nights are very big and popular. Club is always full as is the car park!

We had a lovely family dinner where we spent over $130 on a nice Chinese meal and when we wanted to take home the left over fried rice for the kids that didn't make dinner we were told we needed to pay $0.50 for it.
Seriously guys, for the quality of food and your prices, charging your patrons to take leftovers home is ridiculous!!!
Even the tables on either side of us were complaining about this 'NEW' policy!

Seltzer on tap, great choice of lunch specials at very reasonable price. My Thai chicken salad delish. Chicken moist, salad greens fresh and dressing well balanced.

Good food choices, very busy and noisey on Sunday around meat raffle time. Easy access suitable for disabled consumers and reasonable parking area.

I'd love to give a better rating as the staff were friendly, but the food was far below average unfortunately. My wife ordered a $37 surf n turf and the steak looked like it had been boiled - no char at all and was tough. The grilled fish was completely overcooked and dry. We ordered a jug of coke and the coke had brown floaties all through it. Sorry.

Just do not order the Chinese omelette ???' The sauce tastes like 90% water. No taste at all. We come here every 2nd week hoping the Chef has changed but no! I won't eat there any more!

If you are gluten free, they only has 1 item listed gf (an avocado salad). but you will charged to swap beer batter chip for steamed rice. Steak came out raw / rare for medium order, fried fish greasy was also barely cooked and 4 meals can out one at a time. A disappointment

The Reef and Beef. Not what was expected two prawns to make it reef. Coming from QLD where you get min 4 to 8 prawns and full creamy garlic sauce not a small tub of something thats not garlic on the side which you see.

The rice based meals are really nice and taste but just choose wisely what you eat.

Could comment more on the kitchen staff but won't.

Amid the rising cost of living and economic uncertainty, the Shire locals are always betting on and winning with the lunch bargains at Taren Point Bowling Club! By 12 o'clock, the car park is at capacity and the neighbouring streets are full with eager customers that pack out the spacious dining room. Every weekday for $10-12 and even less for members, you can treat yourself to the generous amounts of freshly cooked food. Choosing from a vast menu selection, we ordered Mongolian lamb, honey chicken and pork spare ribs in Peking sauce. Note in the future that the wait times will be long and even just the queue to order can be a test of patience. But the hard-working noises and aromas from the kitchen and the friendly, smiling service are enough to motivate your perseverance, our Asian dishes came to us piping hot from the wok and popped into our happy mouths. I can still feel the heat of the honey chicken throbbing in my mouth with very little redundant batter and a huge emphasisis on the succulent meat. Each piece is slathered in an indulgent honey sauce, making the cellophane noodles beneath it a delectable dessert. But it wasn't long till I had to call time-out because the sugar was too overwhelming. The rich sauces of the accompanying dishes didn't deter my hunger though, the tangy tomato base of the Peking sauce penetrating the thick, tender cuts of pork and stir-fry vegetables. The beefiness of the Mongolian lamb perfectly encapsulated both the striking pepper and the residual steam, balanced out with the rice to create an umami harmony. We were all stuffed and warm in the belly and we have the fantastic food to thank for that. A magnificent first lunch but definitely not the last at the Point.

The Point Restaurant, I have always had good food and service. Lunch today was no exception, their Chinese Menu is lovely, my Lemon Chicken was suburb, so fresh and crispy the lemon sauce devine. All meals lovely.

Really nice, friendly place for lunch. Great "Specials" menu, for $10. Expanded menu available too. Very clean and updated look with plenty of space.

A local gem! It is family friendly and great to meet friends at. The food is superb, service is fast and efficient. Friendly staff in all areas of the club.

$9.50 roast on a Tuesday! Best bang for your buck, came out pretty much as soon as I'd put my drink on the table!

We had another family birthday today with 27 guests at Taren Point Bowling Club. Thank you so much to the front office staff, bistro staff an bar staff for being so helpful and accommodating and ensuring the day went off without a hitch.

Great local! Staff are beyond friendly, they genuinely seem like they are happy to be there - the bistro deals are also unbelievable. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a mid week cheap eat!

Very good food , nice club

Went for mothers day lunch. Was wonderfully set out. However our reservation requests had been ignored and the manager said there was nothing they would do. We'd asked for a table near the playground so younger mums could see their kids playing. But we got table furtherest from the playground. Also told during booking that if we got there early we could pick the table. Very wrong information.
Meal was reasonable in flavour.
But the staff were very keen to get everyone out. Not the most relaxing day.
