The accommodation at the New Royal is awesome for tourists or workers. Had the pleasure of staying for a week for work and loved the meals (great Steak), accommodation was clean and comfortable, great service and amazing help when I managed to lock myself out of my room 🫠😆

For cheap accommodation 105 per night for motel room, only rated 4 due to shower being small. Great meals and hospitality at the pub best thing you only have to walk behind the pub to sleep. Place was clean and location was on main strip of town. If you are travelling with kids better option would be the bigger cabins.

The royal at surat what a great country pub fantastic tucker and un beatable service from Don, Karen and family. No waiting time on your drinks and all served with a smile. Very clean and smart establishment that is family friendly, if you have never been and want to enjoy some family hospitality it is the place to go. I could not have been looked after any better thanks again, as Arnie said Ill be back cheers and beers scot wright

Called in to get some directions and met one of the most friendly and accommodating hostesses Linda.
Linda was lovely enough to give me some very helpful information for my 5000km journey.
As it was evening I decided to stay for dinner and wow what a delicious meal.
Chicken schnitzel that was cooked to perfection, salad (and one of the tastiest salads I've ever eaten) and the crispiest chips ever. Great job chef.
The atmosphere was brilliant with kids playing pool, several families enjoying a night out and just generally a relaxed feeling all-round.
Well done Royal I'm sure your future looks good. As I didn't stay overnight I can't comment on the rooms but I'd say they be good as the rest of the establishment.
