Never reviewed a golf course but this is a please avoid for must avoid for social players. The course is challenging, fun and very well maintained. Great venue and food onsite.

It took 5.5-6 hours to complete 18 holes. I can imagine playing comp might have better pace...

I appreciate member players are important but some have just the complete disrespect and shameless behaviour.

We were the first social tee off but came across at least 20 senior players at the tee off, with some jumping the queue towards the group as they are friends and implied they are playing in the group ahead. It was only after we approached the pro-shop we've find out none ahead actually booked and just rocked up...

During the 18 holes we played, we found random senior players simply jumping on a joining a group ahead that is already a 4 group and split to 3-2.

Love this place. We had our kids yr 6 graduation dinner here and the service staff, food and our beautiful events manager Dominique always went above and beyond. Best place for everyone! Very pretty too!

Pleasant enough place, lots of undercover parking which was a godsend on a 39°C day. Drinks fairly priced. A bit inconsistent with messages though. I wanted a shot of vodka in a glass, no ice, to sip in memory of my father-in-law. We had just been to his funeral. Was advised that ice MUST be put into the glass. About an hour later, another one of our small group of 6 bought a shot of vodka in a glass, no ice was put into it. ???? The coffee was gross. The 3 people who ordered coffee could not drink it. Mostly left in the cups. Did not try the food so unable to comment further.

Loved every bit of the show. The golf club itself is looking great. Although you aren't allowed to buy shots which was a bit of a disappointment

Not a super easy location to get to, if you don't have a car it'd simply be a nightmare to get to.

There's a ramp up which goes into a car park but there's some spots just outside the building on the left and right. We continued on the right side and after seeing that all spots were taken we had to do a tight u- turn to go back so that we could go up the ramp. Not the easiest to do.

The inside is all modern and actually a very relaxing atmosphere. Wasn't packed so plenty of room to sit anywhere. I don't actually like Golf (went for the food after visiting the cemetery) but the view from the window was stunning enough that I was watching golfers and relaxing.

I had the Pad Thai, it was a decent size, had enough prawns ? and had some good flavours.

Would I Return?:

Yes but I'd find a way to park on the street. It's be a good location if you were meeting up with people.

This was an absolutely perfect venue for a surprise 60th birthday! Originally we didn't know where this club was or that it even existed but when we went to visit the club itself, the rooms on offer were just perfect and the club had a nice modern feel to it! We had such a blast. Dominique the events contact was so easy to communicate with and answered all of my questions (everything booked via email which worked for me!). We selected canapés and two substantial meals which was enough for our 45 guests. We had a bar tab organised which was great - the house red was very nice. We were able to have our decorator come in and set up balloons, lights and a shimmer wall. The club allowed her to return the next day to take it down which was so accommodating! We hired some party lights to give a party atmosphere and the club gave us a laptop to use our own Spotify playlist. It was absolutely perfect for the adults and kids! We even had room for our guests to dance! Babu the event coordinator on the night was the best! So accommodating and really allowed us to completely enjoy the event stress free. This place is a must for your next event!!!

Very nice outlook with roomy open dining room and bar area. Menu covered a good range at reasonable prices. Fine meals and service from all concerned. Summary; We'll be back!

Social time (segmented time - afternoon) as mentioned on website and confirmed by staff in pro shop is for bookings only + green fees.
So why after my mate and I paid $70 each, booked for 12:35pm tee time 30/6/23 (it's the 1st tee off time for social) are there 4 random groups of 4 (non comp) waiting at the 1st tee?

Best part was when we politely asked them if they booked they all just looked at each other with blank faces. Then when we approach the back 9 another random group of 4 teeing off from nowhere (again the blank faces - priceless - we just had to laugh)

@management - this simply does not happen anywhere else.

Quick fix. Make the course members only and they can play 24/7 (happy days) or if you really want to give the public access for social play (at a decent fee BTW) start to monitor what goes on during social time slots.

It's a shame I'm not posting about how nice the course is.

Was in the area with my wife and we decided to have light lunch in the club. We had 3 pcs of Crispy Fish Tacos and 3 Mini Lobster and Prawn Banh Mi. I highly recommend Strathfield Golf Club, great service great food and a great atmosphere.

Good course but disgusting surroundings. The creeks around the fairway are STILL contaminated by the plastic rubbish and the mud slides that were probably caused by the heavy rains past year. The management must clear these ASAP to restore its old reputation.

Always nice food and never a disappointment. Staff are very friendly and have a laugh with you. On a nice day it's great sitting outside. Went here for Fathers day and the food was awesome and all staff super friendly. Updated November 2022. All is still good!

I was here, not for golf, but a meeting in one of the conference rooms, including morning tea and light lunch. The club is airy, clean and modern, and the catering very nice. I am not a golfer, but the course looked very nice too. Catering service was so efficient and quiet, I didn't even hear them come and set up while the meeting was on. Good facility for meetings, in a quiet and pleasant venue

ABs360 was invited by Richard and Mathews RE to celebrate the success along with their clients and network providers. A wonderful evening at the Strathfield Golf Club. Good service, variety of canopies and drinks. Well organised and great energy.

Went on a Sunday night dinner. Such a large venue and literally a handful of people. Decore is warm and Inviting more of a hotel lobby vibe . Clean and plenty of tables and chairs to sit at. Lounge type chairs, bar type and restaurant type setup so suits all moods. Outdoor terrace overlooks the course and a good place to sit out in the sun. Too cool for our evening and not under cover. Food is limiting but a fusion menu of Korean and Australian. Had the curry salmon and it was well presented and tasted great. We had the loaded fries which were well cooked and interesting to eat with the Korean touch . We enjoyed it. My wife had the whole fish and pretty much well presented and tasty but it lacked that element that you look for to associate your experience with the venue. Nothing on the menu that stood out for us but what we had was good and enjoyable to eat. Can't rave about the whole experience only that we went to have a meal and a drink and we did precisely that.
Staff were friendly and engaging and despite the handful of people there they could be seen active and making the most of their shift. As I said the venue is large and easy on the eye and relaxing. The whole experience was a positive one.

I went to a private catered function at the club as a guest. The food was fresh and plentiful as were the drinks, both alcoholic & non alcoholic, though the coffee was instant. The room itself was a basic conference type of room - no frills, but perfectly comfortable and functional. I didn't go into the rest of the club so can't comment about it.

Strong golfing test with a great variety of holes. Accuracy a premium and a fantastic putting test. Then relax and unwind in the world class clubhouse! What more could you want!

A very nice club. Entertainment with They Call me Bruce. The Staff are very Professional and Polite. I would recommend this Club and I will be returning. Especially if they Call me Bruce is there.

Very good course. Flat, looks like a good easy walk though I used a cart. The layout is good. The par 3's were particularly tough. I Enjoyed the game, had a good feed in the club house and hope to play it again. 4 ? only because the course was a tad wet...some fairways under repair...

What a wonderful surprise! I didn't know that you were still there! I love your renovations, you have a beautiful club with green surrounding it. I enjoyed my meal and may I say, my compliments to the chef! If I am back in the vicinity again I shall definitely return. My thanks to your lovely staff for their hospitality. Brand new facility in lovely grounds. Probably a great place to play golf however if you are considering holding a wake or other event here you should bring your own laptop. The one the club provided didn't have sufficient grunt to run a simple slide show without lagging. The food was OK but for the price should have been of a higher standard. The staff member who looked after us was lovely and professional but his large colleague behind the bar was rude to one of our guests and behaved in a bullying manner to his workmate.

First time playing Strathfield Golf Club today since the redesign. It is much better than the old course with an amazing clubhouse to boot. The only negative were the greens. It was very slow and grainy today with many pitch marks not repaired. Not sure if they have recently spread sand all over them but it definitely affected the speed and occasionally the line of putts. Otherwise, it has great potential as it matures in the coming years.

We celebrated my mother in law's wake there yesterday, Ross and the staff were wonderful. The club is new and very modern, the room was bright and beautifully presented and with lovely views of the golf course. The food was delicious and plentiful. I highly recommend this venue for any occasion. Thank You Ross for making the day memorable.

Great place over the golf course. Uninterrupted views. Works very well for weddings or special occasions. Drinks are also great!
Suitable for family dinning, small and big functions.

We booked the high tea for my daughters baby shower today. Everyone was so impressed. Its a beautiful club with lovely views, tables beautifully presented, the food was plentiful at a great price of $49 per head and the service excellent. We were greeted at the entrance by Robin who was so bright and friendly and served by Sally. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend.

Awesome venue for any event...full mod con and the food is way above par to any other golf club I have ever been to...Recommended!

We just had our work Christmas function there. It is excellent, the venue is completely new..The ideal location.. Beautiful views, large open spaces, modern menu and reasonably priced. Its a hidden gem in the area. Highly recommend for corporate and business functions. The organiser was excellent to deal with and we had a great experience.

Seems to provide affordable and varied menus. Serves a good lemon lime bitters.

Great venue. Newly built, to a high plush standard. Friday night is dumpling night. A great theme on top of their normal menu. Live music was playing. A soloist on key board and guitar, entertained a full (covid spaced) lounge and dining area. There was a private function in the other wing. It Al's has a massive carpark.The lounge and dining rooms overlook the golf course, its fairways and silky greens. The bunkers add to the enjoyment.We came for the food, we enjoyed the views, had a few drinks from the well stocked bar, and mellowed into a relaxing night of music and conversation. Once around the greens James, then home.
