Great location and views - I recommend going for drinks but not for food.
Highly inflated prices for mediocre to poor quality food. My friends paid $43 each for barramundi with vegetables. The service was slow and the food was cold. There were hardly any vegetables and they were dry and shrivelled up. I let the waiter know and there was no follow up by management which speaks volumes. On a positive, they had a happy hour in the bar weekdays 4-6pm and I enjoyed my poké bowl.

I was dying of thirst but decided not to order due to an unpleasant experience at the bar. The Latina lady working at the counter was quite rude and seemed unhappy with her job. When we asked if we could place an order, she dismissively said, "they are next," referring to guests who didn't appear to be in line. We stood at the counter for 10 minutes without receiving any service. The other staff member at the counter seemed to be in training and didn't even greet us, which was disappointing.

We couldn't help but feel racially discriminated against, as we are Asians and the other guests, who were white, seemed to be served without issue. Apologies if that wasn't the intention, but it left us feeling marginalized.

On a positive note, the gentleman serving beer at a different bar counter was very friendly. He listened to our preferences and recommended great options.

Given that many people visit this island, the establishment may not be affected financially, but this experience certainly dampened our vacation mood.

Stunning location overlooking the beach. Excellent drink selection and the food was delicious. However the service was sub optimal. Not that people were rude but on visiting here twice the staff taking the bookings and taking orders, made several mistakes and appeared overwhelmed and not knowing what to do.

We ate at the restaurant, the view was beautiful and the service was great! Would recommend booking a table to ensure you get a good seat as it's often very busy. The food is your usual pub style eating, very tasty and reasonable pricing.

Perfect spot to perch and enjoy a Sunday afternoon. I frequent Straddie often for a day trip from the mainland. I'll almost always end the day here before taking the bus back to the ferry. Generally there will be live music and a great view of the ocean. The food is also quite nice and service has always been friendly.
